    This is hand down the best pedal for drum machines, ever!
    Record loops, blend in with the original, play and manipulate them in real time, tape effect the crazyness and press bypass for return to original. Instant breakdown filler!
    Just give me a drum machine and the tensor and i'll be in the zone for hours!

    You always have such a good sound quality in your videos :) Is there any chance you could do a walkthrough on how you edit/mix/master your sound and just general recording tips?

    • @aBunchOfPedals
      @aBunchOfPedals  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you :) I don't know if I'll ever do a video on recording but I can tell you what I do. I used to mic my amps (blues junior / supro black magick) with an sm57. Pretty cheap setup really but it gets the job done. Lately I've just been recording direct into my interface (apogee duet). It sounds super clean but you lose the character of the amps and mic. The interface is easier to deal with and sounds clear. The amps sound more gritty I guess. As for the mixing, I don't really do a whole lot outside of volume control. Sometimes I EQ the guitar signal (drop the highs and lows), then reamp it out to may amp again. Other than that I don't do a whole lot of editing. It's kind of a "what you hear is what you get" type thing. It was always my intention to use as little editing as possible in these videos to give people a realistic idea of what they sound like. If you have anymore specific questions, feel free to shoot me a message or email and I'd be happy to try and help you out :)

    • @victoreijkhout6146
      @victoreijkhout6146 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      How do you sync the video to the sound?

    • @aBunchOfPedals
      @aBunchOfPedals  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Victor Eijkhout I import the raw video into Logic Pro and just drag the actually recording over to match the original sound. Super easy stuff :)

    • @victoreijkhout6146
      @victoreijkhout6146 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks. That's what I do. With turning knobs I guess the fine synchronization doesn't matter too much. I wonder how people do it who are sitting with a guitar, and you don't want the sound & vision to be too unconnected. Anyway. Thanks for the cool demo.

    • @aBunchOfPedals
      @aBunchOfPedals  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Victor Eijkhout No problem :) Its extremely accurate (maybe off by a few samples, of even that). Just watch the led light up and the sound change.

  • @greenmornings
    @greenmornings 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Have you found that this pedal is incredibly loud? I love mine but the noise floor, especially when bypassed (weird...) is very present and pretty annoying. De-noising in post helps but I would love to feel more confident about using the pedal live.

    • @aBunchOfPedals
      @aBunchOfPedals  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Fritz Rodriguez No, I never noticed a lot of added noise with mine (except when using some of the loop modes). Maybe try a different power supply?

    • @chloroform20000
      @chloroform20000 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hey Fritz, I had the same problem. I solved it by 1 buying a proper power supply with galvanically isolated outputs and 2 moving it to the front of my chain so that everything that generates gain sits after the tensor. Something else you could do is hook the pedal up to your computer and change the setting to true bypass that will work because in it's standard settings the pedal is not true bypass.

    • @aBunchOfPedals
      @aBunchOfPedals  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That’s just a regular expression pedal (Moog is the brand of that one), there’s a ton of different kinds out there. But no, it does not come included. They’re pretty cheap though. Thanks for watching :)

    • @vampin6
      @vampin6 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@aBunchOfPedals Np, great! If you don't mind me asking though how did you know to use the expression pedal does it say that in the manual? I've played for years but I've never come across an expression pedal before just curious thanks again.

    • @aBunchOfPedals
      @aBunchOfPedals  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@vampin6 yep, a ton of pedals have expression inputs. It’s usually pretty cool and will control one or more of the knob parameters. It usually says in the manual if there’s an option to use an expression pedal.

    just placed order. will this do whammy like things? Just expression controlling the pitch. Curious. Stoked. Gonna find out.

    • @aBunchOfPedals
      @aBunchOfPedals  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    • @ansonstiles
      @ansonstiles 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      aBunchOfPedals what do you think about signal chain with this thing? I’m tempted to lay out my whole path for you but that seems a little excessive. I’m thinking somewhere in the middle, before other time based effects, maybe even before filters, more towards the beginning with the rest of my pitch shifting stuff ( mostly sub octaves because I play funky bass). I heard the upper octaves can be harsh so maybe putting before a filter could mitigate. Thoughts? Mine is back ordered so probably another month or so until I integrate

    hey mr bunchofpedals, could this replace a TC Ditto X2, in theory? Do straight looping as well as all the other cool shit? could it even replace an EHX Pitchfork? IS IT THE ANSWER TO ALL MY DREAMS

    • @aBunchOfPedals
      @aBunchOfPedals  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there! I wouldn't replace a stand alone looper (they're too useful) but yea I guess in theory you could. I think it could replace a pitchfork but I'm not super familiar with that pedal. I'd say try one out and see what you think :)

    • @phladjki
      @phladjki 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I tried it in place of a pitch shifter for a while, but a problem with it is it doesn’t get volume quite right OR it’s always on and glitching constantly. It’s not quite right for that. As far as replacing a ditto - only if you only make 4.8 second or less loops! I’d say it doesn’t quite do those things, but does do its own glitchy approximation of them.
