What great vid ! Havnt been to the Bluebell in 20 years time.......... Had a reunion with 2 of my best friends from way back last month here in Holland after 26 years that was great, as if we never been apart so many years. Glad we have internet so I still know whats going on there !!!
Glad you liked it. I had the idea a while ago while watching the London to Brighton in 4 minutes film on BBC4. However, I had to wait for the Autumn Tints trains and a nice day to come together :)
@Nigel16032009 - Hi, glad you liked the vid :) The reason for little smoke in the tunnel is that it has a grade of 1 in 75 and the train was running downhill. It is very different when climbing. :)
Hi, I am glad you liked the video. You can walk the track but you will require a Lineside Permit as detailed below. Even with a permit, area's within station boundries are out of bounds as is everything between timecode 2.33 and 3.13 (approx).
Good video. My dad took me down there when I was just kid, Can you walk along side the railway? I would be a nice thing to do on a sunny day, Walk in the country with a steam train going past now and again.
The application form is not available on-line, since it must be completed and signed in the presence of the member of Bluebell Railway staff who is issuing the permit. Please note that an approved ORANGE HIGH VISIBILITY JACKET must be worn at all times that you are on or about the lineside. You will be bound by the conditions of use listed on the form, and which will be supplied to you on the acceptance of this application. Cost: Annual permits £16.00 members of BRPS, £32.00 non-members.
Ahhh... hmmmm I am not to sure I can help. Most of the lineside fields are private property, and views from roads are rare. The only place I can definately say you will get a good view is from timeframe 2.24 to 3.13 (approx) If you look to the left of the track that is a public footpath. Sorry I can't be more help :(

Quite amusing, I liked the effect of the smoke appearing from nowhere as the train 'approached'! Plenty of SPADS apparently!

Yup, it is known as Ketches Halt but is going to be demolished soon I believe.
