Try playing panth into him. You'll kill him so much early game there is no comeback. Get them to the point that their team is flaming them and they're so tilted they can't muster the brain power to come back

His W gives him empowered magic resist, and technically it falls into the theme of him absorbing magic. Not to mention players are already incentivized to build a lot of magic resist on him because it increases his damage, paying truth to the fact that absorbing magic is what he was made for.

@@blablabla7741 I usually build hybrid on him. On the rare occasion I play him support I'll build tanky support items tho too. But normally I build him kinda bruiser if I play him midlane. I don't build a lot of MR though honestly because he's such a powerful antimage naturally with the W reduction and the magic shield that usually I'll go like FoN or abyssal 4th item if they have a lot of MR, but normally the core I like to build is everfrost hourglass demonic. But honestly if the game script calls for a tank and I'm behind and I want to be tanky, I'd probably build RoA hourglass demonic and then go like thornmail gargoyle. The thing about Galio is that he's so good against mages inherently that building armor helps you balance your damage reduction. You can totally see what I mean from this video, Kaisa went hybrid and still melted him. An hourglass and a demonic would've gone a long way here
30:00 the reason why Kai'sa hurt so bad and "Armor pen'd" you, even without a mythic, isn't because of Kai'sa. It's because of Jarvan, he built Black Cleaver and was armor-shredding you.

I remember back in the day you could scale Galio's W to more than 100% magic damage reduction. To test that out my friend built 107% magic damage reduction and I built a full damage Vel Koz. My full combo increased his shield. I don't know if you can still build him like this.

I like building HeartSteel + Demonic + Titanic + Force of Nature + Abyssal, then I sell boots for dead man's or gargoyle(sometimes when it's mostly ap team I go Lich bane) . The damage is disgusting ngl, easily deletes an ADC in 2 hits with Lich bane it's pretty much one shot.
I really wanna see a singed game with absysal mask, rift maker and Archangel's Staff, as the absysal mask heals based on mana spent AND you get 7% mana back from damage you take, + reduced magic resist, then Archangel's Staff of course, loads of mana and shield and of course healing and damage from rift maker
Best match-up against ASol is Tristana with Demolish. You push ASol under the tower, proc E+Demolish, and you can easily have +1000 GD @ 14. Kraken, PD, IE, and it's game over. 3 things are needed: 1) Ward red camp. 2) Always push the lane as hard as you can (you can naturally do it with "E"). 3) Once you destroy the turret (try to be first turret), go bot and create an advantage. Doesn't matter if it ends with kills, try to collect as much turret plating as you can.
I saw something crazy about rell's rework, and if it's true i would like to see you trying her on the jugle , 250% damage to jungle camps and her new E seen to be quite nice .
I have seen a full AP Galio that still was super tanky like his shield has a 90% damage reduction. He needs a balance bad your game just shows how op he is.
This will sound dumb, just hear me out: lethality Galio, because his passive is affected by Ability Haste and Scales 100% with AD. It can also crit and since it does magic damage is unaffected by the armor they will build against you. try it out please. id love to see you do it
I would love to see you play a full tank Tahm Kench game with heartsteel demonic. You’re Q damage can get nuts since his Q has a high ap ratio and activates his passive which does damage based on health and ap so you can get like 1200 damage Qs with like a 4 sec cool-down.
I spent almost an hour in practice tool as Sol and stacked up to over 4.5k. I buffed the enemy to 1k resistances and 40k hp and still 1 shot with Sol's E. Thank God he can't stack that much in a real game. 😂😂
I don't understand why there is not an abyssal mask rush as first item. It heals you, lowers enemy mr based on how tanky you are, give you mr and more mr if an enemy is in melee range(for your passive big daddy damage), AND gives you all of the mana you need to keep glued onto target. Best galio item in the game too bad they are getting rid of the catalyst

Maybe im not zwag, but I can tell u two builds that are pretty funny If enemy have papers: night harvester, void staff, cosmic, boots, zhonia/mejaii, rylai or rabadon instead of boots When tanks: Riftmaker, void, cosmic, demonic, rylai spirit visage and boots or later u can swap them for Warmog, abysal mas or gargoyle, but u can build more armor if needed on last item, like thornmail or sunfire because i guess she's treated like range now but im am wrong u can build Deads man plate Hope u like my ideas ;>

Glacial augment, magic boots, futures market, cosmic insight Celerity, waterwalking (or Zombie ward, relentless hunter. You can use red trinket and FLY through the enemy jungle for permavision on where their jungler is) Rush mobility boots, then items vary by matchup. Chemtank, Thornmail, Evenshroud, Force of Nature, Dead Man's. (If you wanted to go even faster you could take Ghostblade for when Ghost is on cooldown) You drag race up and down river and literally only q, w, and e when the reach the edge of glacial slow, and then leave. You dont even have to kill them, because they'll be scared to push up at all, giving your team an advantage early game. Glacial reduces enemy damage, and evenshroud increases their damage taken, so unless they countergank perfectly, you'll have a 2 v 1/2 every gank. Later, you can jump from dragon or Baron to midlane like a fiddlesticks ult. Plenty of potential, so feel free to make it your own. (If you had a shen top then you could move half your team across the map instantly, and have perma cc)
abyssal actually works alot especially in mid-game there, since they come for you all 5 which gives you 5 stacks and that's like 45 more mr or something

Birdman is my favorite midlaner to play and I build him as a magic resist tank all the time, especially against ap assassins like akali, fizz, and katarina... it ruins their lives. Definitely rush abyssal mask first though. stealing their mr makes q do more damage, plus the haste for his ultimate. I usuallt go radiant virtue over jak sho's, but it probably isnt a big difference either way. Throw in a demonic embrace for some damage if needed.

the stack aurelion got from this is literaly 0.04% Missing HP and 0.01% max
You forget about him staying in his e he gave the aurelion sol atleast 40 stacks for free in landing phase.

I play sol and know that panth is nearly impossible to lane against. You can't leave turret or you just die

titanic instead of hourglass is a hot take lol, RoA hourglass is probably more efficient, but also I could see heartsteel being fun in long games
