- This video provides an introduction to a new set of skirmish wargame rules I have written, called Feudal Fracas, covering dark age and early medieval combat. It explains how the rules developed out of my Gangland Gunplay 20th century skirmish rules, and the key differences between the two rulesets.
It also talks briefly about a campaign I played using these rules, which will be covered in a series of videos to be released on the channel over the next few weeks, called "Tales of Venison Jack."
If you would like a written version of these rules, then drop an e-mail to the channel’s email address and I will send you a pdf copy free of charge. Just remember that these are my rules, written for my use, using language that I understand, and manage your expectations accordingly.
now, your "The History of Harrietenberg and its Enveronts" series kinda got my creative juices flowing and I came up with the "Dartlandian Honor Wars" which will b a campaign about two nobel families in a land called Dartenland, who went to war over somethig as simple as a drunk argument and a shove, leading to a dirty and mudy robe (yeah, turns out the noble Family of Elderstien is just that far away from any reason)... I want to play it out in a napoleonic-ish era of warfare and I even found a page where you can just get pictures for paper miniatures to print out... so yeah: That's for the inspiration
Also: I just absolutely love your campaigns, they are so creative and fun to watch
I like the premise, and using paper miniatures is an interesting idea. I hope the campaign goes well, and that you have fun playing it.
You know, I often find myself being a bit critical of your rulesets simplicity in your videos, and of the terrain. But what the hell, this is a project of passion your doing. Keep it up man.
Thanks, that's good to hear. I have no illusions about what I do. My painting and terrain making skills are at best mediocre, and my rules are definitely at the simple end of things. That works for me, but everyone looks for different things from the hobby, and the hobby is broad enough for everyone to find a style of wargaming that suits their own taste. That's one of the things I love about it!
Brilliant. Brother Beavis, I love it! Not sure how I haven't seen your channel before, but glad I found it. I have some videos to watch!
