    I love all the hater comments on here they kind of crack me up the thing about the water pump is it is not exactly rocket science and this guy was very honest that he is not a professional but his video happens to be helpful for other amateurs as well

    I replaced my belt, tensioner and idler about a month ago. Flushed the coolant a month prior and now the pump is leaking to the point the radiator doesn't top off. The leak is around the water pump so going to give it a try and see if it fixes it.

    Small pipe wrench for tensioner with breaker bar for leverage

    Same thing happened to me. Changed the belt and tube connected to water pump and 2 days later water pump goes out.

    U need to drop the motor down to get the pump out

    You should burp the coolant system for air bubbles after refilling

    No advantage to pulling the inner fender panel off, it does not allow more access...

    I have a question. My mechanic has replaced the water pump 2 times. They both started leaking from the drainage (small hole in water pump) any idea why the water pumps go bad?

    • @samvore2963
      @samvore2963  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m no expert. I think it’s the internal seals for the pump to go bad and leak. But two going bad seems like something else might be going on. Thanks for reaching out!

    Hey man I got an issue you might be able to help me figure out I hope you get this long story short I hired a mobile mechanic to come out and replace the water pump in my 2002 Town and Country well the little s*** broke four bolts off in the block and then quit so now I've got for broken bolts in a non-running van and the money to hire somebody else any ideas on how I can do it myself

    • @samvore2963
      @samvore2963  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's beyond my knowledge. So sorry to hear that.

  • @jasonevers8958
    @jasonevers8958 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    No matter how much I wiggle, I can't get the water pump out. It won't clear the side of the van. Any tips?

    • @samvore2963
      @samvore2963  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Turn the wheels to add slightly more clearance?

    • @jasonevers8958
      @jasonevers8958 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@samvore2963 the water pump doesn't move with the wheel. Loosening the three bolts like she mentions in the video allowed us to lower the engine slightly to get the new one in. Now we struggle with tightening the far back volt of the water pump.
