That was a good session - for this time of year, especially an off the beach daytime session, you can't be disappointed. I totally agree about being out on the boat. October before last was my first lure session off a boat and never looked back; in fact, I haven't bait fished of the beach since. The obvious main advantage is if its quiet in one place its easier to just move on to the next reef or wreck. However, the downside is the uncontrollable, unpredictable UK weather - still haven't been out since the end of last year😢. I also follow Matt. Great video, thanks for keeping us entertained.
A good watch. Thanks Mark i was really interested in your use of that boat rod from the beach, hard to show on video but it was really picking out the bites ! Possibly you have the answer to a do it all rod. Do you have any links to it for us to check out? The weighted rig is also something that could be utilised more by beach anglers. Generally we stick with flappers but its a great way to anchor the bait to the sea bed when required. Great to see your enthusiasm for what the sea has to offer us Beach anglers. Don't worry about the size of the dabs you had a keeper or two in this session i recon. Ive never seen anyone Rig , bait up and fish as fast as you do mate zooooom! Im seeing a few of you Boat Anglers turn to the beach when there are big swells and i definitely learnt a few things with your adjusted tackle set up.
