jgamer king the reason people burst early is so that your opponent does not start to gain momentum (when a person gains momentum in this game they can turn the whole match around) and so that it regenerates so you will be able to use it again later at a more needed time
loool naaaa. i mean its subjective so sure think what you will but personally i think there needs to be certain qualifications met to fit into any particular trope. there is already a super established trope for amane that he fits into quite nicely. that being the "the deliberately androgynous, vain, cross dresser character"

Itachi Uchiha 6A can cancel into itself on clash, and has lots of i-frames. He was basically timing it to clash against other moves.

No I mean bursting on the first hit of a combo.
They burst on earlier hits to minimize the damage as much as possible.

Had Bang, Hakumen, and Tager.
Yuu Keisuke Bang was too scruffy, Hakumen relied on his sword, and Tager is part machine, so Azrael is basically the new "manly" character. :P
Amane is Super manly even though he don't look it. He can rival azrael and bang equally which is saying something for a super androgynous man.

Valiant charger made him fly toward the corner but Azrael crossed up with 6A I think, so he was blocked from the corner by Az's sprite
