Best video series on FPP I’ve seen! I watched too many until I found yours 😊. Folding your paper like you did helped me so much to plan for the next piece!
Hi Mary! I use a stitch length of 2.0 when I remember; but, you may want to decrease it if you're having difficulty tearing your paper. I often forget and leave it at the 2.5 though. If that happens, just be careful not to stress your threads when removing the paper. Give each fold a good hard crease with your fingernail before tearing. I hope that helps! - Sheila
ha....I need more....help......lol I'm enjoying the video. I tried putting a block together from a pattern i found online. Got to the 5th section and dont know how to make it all lay flat at the center. So I searched for a video and found this. I am excited to see video 3. I've never done paper piecing before. It's a little different than cutting everything out ahead of time with a 1/4 in seam allowance. Is the point of paper piecing so you save time by not cutting everything out with a 1/4 in seam allowance?
Argh! I just realized all of my replies disappeared. I'm so glad you found my video. The benefit of paper piecing is that you get repeatable accuracy with your blocks. I wouldn't say paper piecing a time saver though. I hope you love this tehnique!
