  • The Triumph Tiger 900 family has been a favorite for a while. Whether it's the road-oriented GT or off-road focused Rally, either Tiger 900 offered a lot of bike for not a lot of money. For 2024, Triumph has revamped the Tiger 900 with some key upgrades. But, does that actually amount to anything? Should you go flocking to your dealer to buy one? To find out, we sent guest tester Joe Jackson to Malaga, Spain to give them a whirl and give us his impressions.

    My 2023 GT-Pro is the perfect Goldilocks Bike/platform. The TFT Layout Sucks, but once you get use to it, it's all second nature.

    He sounds like a mouth piece for the company, at no point dis he say anything negative about them.. in his eyes these bikes are thr absolute principal of motorcycles lol.

      He sounds like me after test riding 2023 and almost buying on the spot. But at home I decided it might worth to wait for a newer model which I haven't test ridden yet.
      Even if he really thinks these are perfect motorcycles, there's just too much enthusiasm and praise in his voice tone. Just feels wrong, because sounds like and advertisement hidden behind the review pretence.

    I test rode the GT Pro and loved it. However the F750GS has all the toys the tiger does but at AUD $7,000 cheaper.

    • @simonborg4343
      @simonborg4343 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      But the Tiger has 30bhp more than the F750GS, so not really comparing like with like. Tiger 850 Sport is the same sort of price (AU$18K), but has more power but fewer toys.

    • @MaverickAus
      @MaverickAus 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@simonborg4343 Good points, what I didn't mention is the 850 is too tall for me (as is the tiger) the 750 came with everything I wanted (sans luggage) and like I said $7000 cheaper.

      @MaverickAus my wife has a 900GTLoww ( now discontinued), bit just rented a 750GS to ride around Portugal. She found the beemer more comfortable for her small frame( 5'3"), but the center of gravity was significantly higher than her Triumph. The new 800GS might be great for smaller riders.

      Funny, I moved from the F750 to the Tiger 900. I like the tiger much better than the F750. FYI, I am a BMW fanboy. I currently have 3 bmws: 1000xr, K1600GA & 1250 GS. So I think I am objective when I say I like the tiger 900 better. Either way, it’s only an opinion. Ride safe everyone!

    I hope triumph have fixed the many issues with the 900, especially the fact it rusts and the paint flakes off everywhere very quickly

    "Without sacrificing any bottom end". This simply not true. Between 3400 and 4300 it has less power and torque than previous model. Then has the same until about 5000. Only from 6400 real power/torque difference comes in.

    • @RumblestripDotNet
      @RumblestripDotNet 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      how much less?

    • @PovilasPanavas
      @PovilasPanavas 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@RumblestripDotNet not much looking at the graph. But looking at the graph where it gets more power it also like maximum 2.5 of that same not much higher except after 8000RPMs where the difference is big indeed. My point is that when people make claims like "without sacrificing any bottom end" or some other reviewers said "more power in lower range RPMs" then I want to correct people, because it's giving a wrong impression. At least according to specs. Don't know about the feeling of the bike as I haven't test ridden it yet.
      The graph is also available in their article linked in the description, though they put only a tiny version of it. To find normal size just google for: "triumph 900 2024 vs 2023 power torque graph"
      Also, reminder that the power formula is Horsepower = Torque x RPM / 5,252 which means that whenever the RPMs are the same the only difference to make a different power is a difference in Torque.

    And, the Fugliest bike Award goes to Tiger 900. While Triumph designs and builds some beautiful classics, this is just unbearable to look at.

      I thought they were better than the old tigers and I certainly like them more than most KTMs

    • @PovilasPanavas
      @PovilasPanavas 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      While I also don't understand when people say they look beautiful. They look OK. But also way better than KTMs. Just think about it. People buy KTMs and happy, so they will buy these for sure. Colours on offer are nice even if bike front is a bit odd.
