I just wanted to showcase my experience and view with doing this challenge and not take it as seriously as the current Albion content creators out there.
Easily the funniest gathering video I've ever seen. Currently waiting on learning points for my T8 ore. I've roleplayed so hard to get there it's insane. Gathering is so boring but I also just can't stop. Right when I'm about to quit they throw a 7.3 node at me and I cream instantly.
3 things to do for extra profit: 1) faction flag 2) laborers book 3) refining in martlock where the refine bonus is (an extra tips for late game skining you can buy an 8.4 skinner garb to one shot t2 to t4 with a single auto-attack) It was fun to see good video bro
If not flagged, I usually find ava road that directs martlock to a skinning area, and when I'm full, I just r/back. I't only cost me around 10k for 7-8 stacks of hides.
My friend, it is probably more efficient to train gathering for the main resources of the area of your faction, this way you can get the faction buff (which is 15% at 3 map away from the faction HQ, which is the same as the ava tool buff), in your case ores. Also, each city has a resource processing bonus, in this case you should process your hides at Martlock which has 40% bonus to hide processing. PS: I forgot laborer journals, high initial investment, but pays over time
I cracked every single time you AVALONIAN! i am maxed out T8 Skinner and harvester and started looking at guides because i cant remember shit and keep thinking i am not doing it efficiently hahaha and i just found your video and had a blast xD

I run several islands, and gather when i dont have time to really focus on the game, and when i do have time to actually be focused i run mists, and gather there too, mostly in a stag, or the t5 boar.
I'm soon gonna start farming hide, gonna try to max it out, gonna farm 100k t2 hides, 200k t3, 200k t4, etc gonna take a lot of time but maybe i'll be maxed out after....... i hope so at least Ps, Not gonna be using lp, so thats some NICE EXTRA FUN
So true same thing happened to me. I skinned for a month thinking that t8 was gonna change my life. But no its still a full time job to skin for silver.

i have over 500h and around 200h of farming, if you do it you will stop having fun with anything else in the game, when i come online i gather, refine, craft, transport to and sell in Caerleon and repeat i do not recommend😢
if you want a healthy game experience for you, as another person said in the comment, dont dedicate yourself something like this or you will burn out so fast. in my opinion, do every gathering tier 4-5 with just killing tier 3 (especially with the mobs its faster, and always change city according to profession) and enchanted resources (they give more fame). And then just play your game do pvp pve and always take tools with you, and when you see something shining in mists, gather it, time to time you will get t6+t7+t8 and you also will have fun
And 2 more tips, dont level stone gathering, skip it, it seems so useless and always use learning points for gathering tiers but careful just for tier changes

1 : level up your farming in avalonian roads, its way faster, just take your tool in inventory + a solo set (1h dagger, 1h axe or nature staff) and kill the big ressources mobs, they give between 20 and 60 ticks of farming per mob. 2 - refine in the city that gives the regining bonus (40% profit is non negligeable). 3 - once you're t8, try to farm in mists or avalonian roads, not red zone.
Leveling up gathering in ava roads will always * be slower ,yes you have a chance to find something good but you have to look for 10-45 mins ,might get lucky, you might have to run around forerever, It doesn't make leveling faster !
This is so sad watching all that time spent and little profit. I joined a bz guild with a t8 skinning zone quality 6. The profit I got as a t7 skinner was 1-2mil an hour including chests I find. The key was to play dead timers like 1-5am. Went to t8 and now I make 1.5-3mil an hour from skinning alone. Finding a 7.3 with 4 ticks is 600k silver alone.
Did you know that in steelhide meadow there is a large fast spawning ground for tier 2 3 and 4 hide ? Same goes for other resources around the map red zone and black zone 😎 go get some silver 💪
It's funny that you just posted your death montage at the start of the video (I'm sorry but i don't mean no offense). I just thought that death is quite normal in Albion. When you go to the Red Zone or the Black Zone, you kinda have to accept that you will lose all your gears someday to a group of 15 gankers. But after acceptance, you also have to learn to get better. The world is fair in the way that it is unfair to everyone, but I believe there are skills we can learn to turn the odds in our favour. Learn to fight back in our own ways, and eventually enjoy the game. It feels like dark souls but somewhere between gaming and real life
It actually pains me to watch parts of this video lol.... others already pointed out the mistakes but didnt see anyone pointing out that you should use a range weapon as skinner garb skill already kills them fast enough so you can pull mobs much MUCH easier :p
bro another tip, buy a pickaxe and stickle, you losing lots of money, im t8 ore, and i leave many times 5.3 6.3 7.3 resuources of other tipe... and thats is milions lost..

But, as i can see in this video, author just keeping it in his bag, and not equipping it in hand, so whole this time he was gathering without avalonian knife bonus? Or i am getting it wrong and it works while you gathering and it can be in you bag, you dont need to equip it in your hand?
You did it wrong - first off, you should have been flagged doing this. You would have made extra money on the side from faction points. Next, you should have been doing this in the red zone. You would have gotten higher tier and more fame per a mob. Finally, once you get to a certain point you need to get the black zone. Per a tier you can train your skinning skill to get a bonus of 50% to skinning at level 100 - a good long term goal to reach for. By sitting around in a blue zone you wasted days trying to make money. You could have gone to the black zone and gotten a million in less than a hour in a t7 quality 1 zone. You could have also done black zone mists that were purple or gold too. Good grief.

i did all 5 profesions of gathering from T1 to T8 w/o using any Lp on any tier, it took ages, but it was a challange and nice journey for me :)
