    Good afternoon Tim, I know very little about sprayers, I found this video very interesting. Quite the set up, quite the project. Thanks for the walk around 👍Ben

    That'll be nice to have the option to use the pump to suck or to empty itself. On my sprayer it has a little electric nozzle body valves on the boom tips to operate the fence row. It's hooked up right on the wet boom so you don't need to run a separate hose all the way out to the end. It's not really a big deal but it keeps you from having to flush the entire line if you switch products and want to use that fence row nozzle. If you drove around the field, the same direction every time you'd really only need one fence row nozzle. That's just my observation.

      I usually go counterclockwise because I can see to my right better. So at first I'm thinking of just the one side. I thought about running a wire to the end of the boom and have it work like you are describing, but the guys at FDS said it could mess up the total flow to the rest of the boom. So, I set it up this way. I'm trying to figure out what would be the best nozzle to use for the fence row.

      Yeah that's true if you added an extra nozzle out there like that. but if you use the same size nozzle for your fence row, you're only going to short yourself roughly 3 oz an acre on the rest of the boom so it isn't a lot. Assuming you're running 20 gallons, an acre at 5 mph. Sorry, I enjoy math like this. 😊

      So do I. But to farm, there's a lot of math.

    Good work on the Hardi. You sure did a lot of work. I have a Hardi TR-300 sprayer that I just winterized. Has manual booms 35 feet wide. Good sprayer.

      I'm really looking forward to using this next spring. I know al the work and money spent will be worth it. I will check for leks next spring, I don't want to have to winterize it.

      Thanks, Ryan. I was going through emails the other day and came across yours on the disc. That is a project I want to do, but it is low on the list.

    I have the exact same sprayer purchased last year for 3500$. Not yet at a stage where it needs rebuilding but I can see it coming eventually. Please di share as much as you can. Very appreciated. Thanks.

      It didn't come with a manual, and I couldn't get parts. If you are interested in the pump, manifold, or boom parts, make me an offer. It might make putting off a rebuild. My dealer for Hardi is a joke. No help at all. Thanks for being here and watching.

      I look forward to using it next year. I had to pay the co-op this year, and that got expenses, and the timing of not always great. Thanks for being here and watching.

    Looks good. Am I seeing a hydraulic pump? I’ve got a sprayer project I need to work over the winter and it’s got a hydraulic pump. Are you going to run yours with a closed center hydraulic tractor? Look forward to more videos on this sprayer...👍

      @TAHDAHFarm  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, it is a hydraulic pump made by ACE. The guys at FDS, Fertilizer Dealer Supply, sized it for using with the Kubota M7060. I will have to look at it again to see if it is open or closed. I don't remember. When we were sizing it up, I was pretty sick and had a hard time comprehending things. I have the paper at home and I'm at work right now. I will do a video on the hydraulic side of the setup later when I get the horses made up. There are some other things that need to be done and set with the hydraulic pump. Thanks for watching and commenting.

      @@TAHDAHFarm Thanks - my pump is a Hypro and probably needs a rebuild. Look forward to the video.

    You're pretty handy at all that stuff. If you said, I missed it- how many gallons is that one?

    • @TAHDAHFarm
      @TAHDAHFarm  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I didn't say it, but it is 500 gallons. I'm looking forward to seeing it work next year. I had to pay the co-op to spray everything this year, and that was a lot of $$$$. Thanks for watching and commenting.
