This level of interconnectedness, power, and energy is unbelievably extreme. You can see how some ears only hear "weedley weedley" on Kurt's intros from this period. For those who actually know this tune (have studied it and lived inside it) it is mind melting what this band did here.

What he does with the intros for example and the the way the group is always listening and playing off each other. I wanted everybody to be able to hear what I hear. No video but I don't feel it's necessary especially when the music is this strong, listen and hear what I mean.

Agree so damn much man. His Live at The Village Vanguard album is a stellar example of this. The soloist echoes the previous soloist but the whole band is working as one nucleus so it is as if it's one solo-consciousness passed from instrument to instrument. They are all so locked in. To me that album is the modern guitar player's "Kind Of Blue." It's transcendent.
It’s so nice to hear someone else feel the same way I do about kurt playing! I heard him say that is intros or more like interlude between songs and not necessarily have to do with the song itself which is apparent when you listen to the intros he plays live. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
His intros are actually segues in the next tune. When he plays live, his intros are always different every time! This is what makes Kurt so great - the Freedom he has when he plays!
