An ore extractor in the aluminium field, combined with a craft station T2, also delivers a steady flow of super alloy, plus aluminium which you can use with excess ore in other locations to create super alloy
i do it like Edo, using Alu and "junk ore" to make tons of alloy, instead of needing a shredder (very useful while i didn't yet know where alloy and uranium caves are, and while i didn't have the shredder yet) btw: i have 4-5 T2 extractors at each place, and barely can keep up making and using all the rods and alloy :-)
Those are T2 extractors and they work fine for super alloy, uranium and osmium. You can also find a whole lot of super alloy under the sand falls. Furthermore, you can find at least 4 or 5 iridium rods sticking out of the meteor in the crater, outside the zeolite cave. Pack a baselet for o2, that crater can be tough to navigate. And there's pulsar quartz cave there too for before you get to craft them, which is very late game at the moment.
The second uranium mine is behind the second wrecked ship (desert) on the right. There is clear blue water there. There are also two sulfur mines. The first is behind the Iridium Cave and the second is near the Uranium mine from this movie.
There's a fair amount of super-alloy spread out underneath the sand waterfalls beyond the sulfur fields. There's also another osmium cave there too. Climb the sandfalls and there's a wreck way behind it.
I just got the t2 extractors I'm definitely setting up one in the super alloy area I went in a grabbed all of it thought it was just a random spot full of goodies but oh man I'm also gonna bring a shredder with me
@@CptJamesForce seems to have been done now ... around half of the ore that i get from T2 extractors in the iridium cave and the alu fields are iridium and alu respectively. btw: with all the alu and all the "junk" ores, i could relatively quickly make tons of alloy too, more than i need, and not much slower than the long way to the alloy cave would take. but knowing the locations now, I'll have a look and at least build some "backup" excavators, in case i ever run out of rockets, or my jungle becomes too dense :-) _thanks for this video !!!_
@@Anson_AKB Yeah I had to move my jungle! Got a bit too crowded! And yeah, makes perfect sense! My base definitely isn't perfect but it gets the job done! And my pleasure, glad it helped!

I'm not sure if that's when it was added. I just ran into it today when I was out looking at the new moss in the area. I saw the moss go back into the rock and followed it.
I was surprised the second uranium cave wasn't mentioned in this video. But then I don't know when it might have been added to the game versus when the video was made either.
Waaaaaiiiit, super alloy CAVE?! I have like 20 cheapy extractors laid around just to gather for making alloy. I wish I had seen this sooner - would have saved me hours.
There is another super alloy place that is in the giant gap before the little cave with super alloy but when you go into the gap you will the sulfer field and just go thru the hole on the right and it's in the falling sand
@@CptJamesForce do you need T2 extractor to access super alloy ? cause i made several tries but get only iron each time. ( in the cave i mean) great video btw TY
@@CptJamesForce i get at least some iridium at the first "open cave" and some (very few) alu at the alu fields also from a T1 extractor, although a lower percentage than with T2, and with the smaller buffer chest you need to empty it more often. on the other hand, i make alloy myself from all that alu and the "junk ores" so that i like to have some T1 to get more "junk ores" and not be swamped too much with alu and iridium :-)
it was presented very nicely, and easy to follow. only one hint was missing: at the bottom left of the hud are your current coordinates (and thus also the coordinates of all the caves and other locations) :-)
@@Anson_AKB Yeah true! I put that in a later video (The Hidden Body) but to be fair, I was trying to show the locations from visuals as I sometimes find co-ordinates quite hard! But a good point!
Just a thought but maybe you could do a video on where to find the plant Volnot since I can't seem to find the one that's near the maze says it's 551 high
@@CptJamesForce there is a small cave about midway along that wall hidden by the sand fall, though the fact you can't place an extractor there I guess makes it not count

Jump without using the jetpack across gaps. The moment you activate the jetpack it adjusts your height, but if you jump you keep your height/momentum.

you're a gentleman and a scholar.
@CptJamesForce lower left corner of the screen under the O2 gauge is the in-game lat/long coords, just a tip...
Cheers! Yeah I don't use them too much but I get it!

My pleasure! Happy to help and yeah it's a bit tough to find the first time!

there is another iridium cave in the pillar valley with the downed craft also.
Which Pillar Valley? The Grand Canyon that I cover at the start or a separate one?
@@CptJamesForce I think I was confusing the grand canyon iridium cave withe the pillar valley osmium cave
There is a second Uranium cave at Coords: 1652.0.1976 : 4 : 65. You have to wiggle back through the tunnel, but it's Uranium :)
