Interesting as I was fishing the main lake at the same using flavourings including F1 pellet soak along with crushed scopex boilies on micros and only had 3 skimmers and no carp. I think you are correct that flavourings help, but finding the fish in winter is one of the skills that you have that helps you stand out from the average angler like myself. It was bloody freezing as well.
Interesting video mate look forward to the next one . I'd like to see the difference on a large open water like boddington or barston . Keep the videos coming
Brilliant Rob ,do you think that now winters on its way and the water getting clearer, that colour will play a bigger role over flavour...many thanks Scott
Good video Rob, as scientific as possible. I was wondering first chuck over the flavoured line with plain pellets if it would go round as there was still scent in the water, guess it disperses fairly quickly.
Have you ever messed around adding oils to your pellets? Some oils disperse better than others in cold water but speci carp anglers have been using oils in pva stick mixes for years, the theory being that as the oils leak out they pull fish down from the upper layers?
Excellent probe Rob. But one question itching my soul. Why used the one mould in between both pellets packs? Might be the smell of the flavoured method easily transfers to another, as well? And, can the next test include this suggest? Otherwise, the greatest run within your experiment. Thanks a lot. Tight lines wherever you are.
@@RobWootton Hi again. No need for the extra one. It was just how I would do that. to exclude any doubt about the smell. Anyhow, what you showed all of us, proves the quality of the flavours. Enjoying following you at all social media. Very best.
i tried 2mm f1 swim stim pellets v cheap 2mm pellets soaked in swim stim f1 pellet soak and the pellet soak and cheap pellets worked better and worked out much cheaper lol
It's a well known in barbel fishing that using meaty flavour or milk protein boilies flavoured sweetly work better as the water temperature gets lower. I'm looking forward to your flavours experiment but I would do it twice on contrasting days when water temperature is different. I bet I colder weather a sweet f1 flavour will trump other flavours
Very good idea for a video Rob, thanks.
Excellent Rob, you've gone and done something that been nagging at me for years, well thought out way you've done this too.
Cheers Paul👍

I thought that could happen too - I wonder if fish are always nearby anyway though
Nice one , would have been interesting to swap swims to see if flavour made a difference in other swim .
Watch the full vid - rotated the rods Shabba 👍
Haha making tea at same time as vid on 😂
Really enjoy your videos and tips rob 😁

Yeah I use oils a bit In the summer and Years ago I’d use a bit of salmon oil in method mixes
nice one coach
Great video Rob evidence mounted up there thanks for sharing mate

Interesting... I thought I’d covered everything - I’ll see if I can dig out an extra mould just for you.

Nice one Amir - it’s good to get out and do it
Rob Wootton I would've used flavoured 6mm pellets on the flavoured micros flavoured line as well. Would've been 18-0 😀
@@RobWootton no need to... just use a small plastic bag on the mould when loading with regular pellets 😉
You look and sound freezing.and wearing trainers?.good video, thanks.
Ha ha, good spot
@@RobWootton lol 😂 I'm surprised that you are not still got your flip flops on! 👍
Do you think the flavour going onto the hook bait helps
It can’t hurt
Nice one Rob. Try Amino acids mate.
I’ll be trying a few things over the next few weeks 👍
No need to prompt me to subscribe Robert, I subbed in the Summer when the girls were out in their short skirts if you remember 🤗
Ha ha , they were the days
Wheres smokey gone, used to love the vids with you and Joe !!!!
Smokey and me will do some stuff soon hopefully
We will join forces again soon enough 👍

Like pole floats they catch the angler...
I used to think that too

That’s the plan David👍
