I've been reading War and Peace. I'm on Book 1, Part 2, and I'm liking it a lot more than I thought I would. It's way more interesting than I expected, and Andrei, Nikolai, and Pierre are just the best.
I just read This Savage Song the other day, and really enjoyed it. The fact violence manifests is so cool! I can't wait to see what happens next in this series.
I am reading Three Dark Crowns now! I just finished with The Vegetarian (not a cookbook, fiction ) which was strange, and heart wrenching, and weird, and beautiful.
I would recommend The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. Although it came out in 2011, it is so worth it. It is a little hard to trudge through at the beginning, but oh my goodness is it worth it. Perfect for gloomy weather.

The Trials of Apollo sounds so good! I'm barely working my way through the original Percy Jackson series and enjoying it so much I hope I can get to the spin offs one day because it might take me a while haha

The Wall of Night trilogy is so underrated, I would definitely recommend it. Packed with action, friendship, magic etc. I would also recommend the Sin Eater's daughter, it is short but intriguing (and I must admit, I was mostly drawn by the book cover). Oh, and of course every book written by Maria V Snyder...
A lot of books in this rec video sound right up my alley! Thank you for these because honestly I try to find new books by wandering around the bookstore, picking up random things, and hoping I end up with a winner. This is a much better way of finding good reads!! Also, Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones!! Its a fun and magical book. :)
Frankenstein by Mary Shelley is a fantastic winter read. I know it's classified as literature but as a serious adult fantasy reader it had all the right elements to keep me reading. Not too mention fantastic writing.
I actually picked up Three Dark Crowns because you recommended it in an earlier video. I loved it! The political conflicts were great and I enjoyed the unique world. I NEED the sequel immediately.
I love the school for good and evil and if you haven't already I really recommend red queen by Victoria Aveyard it's not really wintery but I really love it

I LOVE This Savage Song. I'm willing to try The School of Good vs. Evil (it's been on a few lists now). But Truthwitch and Threee Dark Crowns were no bueno to me.

And I also love witches and am pretty sure I haven't heard of a novel with the main couple being both females and witches. So. I have high hopes!

To my knowledge, we don't have any libraries here in the Netherlands that have new English releases. So that's not really an option for me.

I totally recommend the series The Testing. It has a slow start but it is totally worth it
