Yes, she is the best! Apart from her gorgeous sound, Caballe incredibly takes the main theme, up to high A, then high G and then the repeat, up to high C and high Bb, all in one breath! No other soprano does this as far as I'm aware!
Actually she only does it for the first phrase (A to F to G to E). The second phrase that goes to the C she breathes like all other soprani typically do.

Ainhoa Arteta has a Wonderful, but distinctly different interpretation for this famous Aria. Arteta has a delicate sensitivity that is just as valid, but very feminine and soft.

Conosco il pezzo cantato della Price... ottimo soprano ma la sua voce bella ma un poco ombrosa, perfetta con Verdi, è leggermente pesante per questa parte. Poi per carità i gusti sono individuali.

In the world of opera singing a voice will always be compared to another, and Caballe falls short of so many. Just listen to her Salome, it's ubareable. You need to educate yourself I think, try a hearing test as well.

I like generally Caballe, but this aria is Anna Moffo's. This performance is too studied and ponderous. It doesn't float and soar as Moffo's does.
This recording is not the best. Caballe is amazing no doubt but the recording itself is not the best quality
