hi all the same but easer on the small hammers as you can lift the weight .i needed a fork truck to do the same on my 250kg hammer.keep watching i will put some more out soon.

Thanks Nigel. Presumably the same sequence for a 15kg hammer as well. Although currently mine has plenty of room around it. But maybe down the road sometime I might need to change the position of the dies.

Hi Nigel great channel artist blacksmith in Australia having trouble winding coils for 15kw induction forge unit just won't start up with my coils any thoughts on what I am doing wrong Mark

Hi Mark the coils have to be the right lenght to be in balance with your machine .also the same tube size .on low freq they should read 40hz and high freq. 50hz .you can read this with a tester that clips round the start of the coil near the machine but only for a few seconds as it will fry them .if the coil is to long the machine will not start or only work on low freq and not go up to hi .you can also overload the machine if the bar mass is to big for the machine to cope with .

Shame they fixed the sow block with studs instead of bolts. With bolts it could have been rotated without lifting and without help. Might be a design improvement for future iterations.

hi Easy to change to bolts but you would still need to lift up a bit to break the seal .some hammers have jacking bolts but these tend to fill up with mill scale .
