Please don't apologize for being a wonderful caring, compassionate, and giving man. I can only imagine what you saw in Ukraine. It is wonderful to see that behind all of the hate and cruelty that is posted on all of our news that there is the other side of the human race which is filled with love and giving and sacrifice for each other. Thank you for being who you are. It really is so heart warming to see.

You made a great point, Phil, that the reasons for doing this are more than just supplying resources. In these refugee situations, there are always two types of impact of relief efforts. One, the direct impact: they need item X, you supply item X. But second, the indirect impact: they see the world taking notice and caring enough to do something, which boosts moral and their will to carry on. You cannot assign a monetary value to the latter. Thanks again for doing this.

Let them know we care. We feel helpless watching this. Let people know what you need to help and they will come to your aid. What the Gales asked for back packs for Egyptian orphans and over 2,000 showed up. I am sure you will get a great response.

Where was the world while the nazi ukraine army were killing Ukrainians, men, women, and children in 2014? Russia freed the people of Ukraine.
Truth is truth. The US funded nazi biolabs on the boarder with Russia set to release pathogens. Remember, Ukraine is not a country independent of Russia. It has no defined boarders which is why nato did not involve themselves overtly. Nazi Ukraine is the most corrupt with elite money laundering and sex trafficking network. Tell the whole truth.

There is absolutely no reason to apologize for posting a video about your experience in Ukraine. I, for one, want to know and see the reality of their experience. Most of the news focuses on the war and the devastation it has brought. It is good to see another side of it. These people are so brave. As you said, the human spirit is amazing. While you started this channel as a place for people to use for entertainment and escape purposes, the reality is that the world has changed. For your channel to reflect that change is proper. The poor Ukrainian people have no escape from what is happening to their homeland. It's okay for those of us not suffering to lose a little bit of escapism. Thank you to you, your friends and families for doing this critical work.

Phil, we can all see how hard this was for you to share, and appreciate you doing it. But don't ever think showing your experience is not suitable for this channel. Seeing the truth of the situation actually on the ground from people we trust is necessary, and even enriching in a weird way. It brings us here, way down in New Zealand, closer to understanding. Life is not all upbeat, even when you live in a chateau, and I at least am OK with seeing that. And let me give my thanks to you for using the small amount I gave with integrity and intention. We thank you!

Much respect to you Phil, the other drivers and everyone else involved in the aid venture.
Also Angelina deserves praise because it must be very emotional for her.
I grew up in Northern Ireland in the sixties/seventies through the troubles. We never experienced food shortages or access to schools/medical care but the constant threat of violence was around us. It is a bit similar to the suffering that the Ukrainian people are now going through. What I wanted to say is the difference in every day life for a large number of people compared to what is portrayed in the media are worlds apart. A lot of people continued a relatively ordinary existence. It is so heartening to learn of families returning to try to pick up their lives and resist this oppression.
Thank you for what you have done, but you have lived through such an extraordinary experience, be kind to yourself to readjust afterwards. It is not over and it has possessed you so much you must look after your own equilibrium.
    God Bless 🍀

Phil, you are a changed man. In a previous comment I said your trip would be life changing and I think that it is evident from this deeply personal and emotional vlog. It is raw and totally truthful. I think many of us would be grateful if you could bear to show us your images of what war does to people and how they cope with war. We can only see the ordinariness through your eyes. TV can show us the dramatic and horrific, but you can show reality and hope. This is part of your destiny, so be proud of what you have achieved and will continue to strive for. Have a great time on Saturday and raise loads of money.

Phil, please don't apologise for being emotional. Look what you and your friends have done - twice to support complete strangers in Ukraine! If the horrors of what the Ukrainians are living through were to happen in any other country, the people would hope that others would be as selfless and generous as so many people are to provide aid. Thank you for sharing. Stay safe and have a drink for me in the Red Lion.

You never need to apologize for a kind heart that truly feels what others are going through. After all haven't you and your lovely wife kindly invited us to join in with you and "Feel the ups AND downs of Chateau life"??? And you have in turn given if yourself to genuinely "feel the ups and downs" of Ukraine Life. And it would have been a great loss to all of us had you not shared it, and in such a respectful way. May we never be so stoic or hardened that our hearts never overflow and trickle down our cheeks! And I'm sure hundreds of us joined in just that as you shared the reality with us. Just a huge THANK YOU!

I could tell by your first video back at the chateau, this trip really affected you deeply as it was a hard trip. I figured you need time to process it all before you could edit and post. I'm limiting myself on the news because it upsets me so. At 63 and having been in the U.S. Navy back in the 70s I was lucky to not any wars going on at the time. Not that I wouldn't fight as I was the first to volunteer after Vietnam war ended (I was 16)

Phil, thank you so much for sharing some of the reality of your experience in Ukraine. You don't need to apologize for being emotional. Everyone gets emotional about things, and no human experience is all sunshine, birds singing and roses. This is your life, and we are lucky to have you share it with us in whatever experiences you have. I think it's incredibly valuable for us to see what's going on in Ukraine outside of just what we see on the news. Thank you so much for keeping it real, for your honesty, and for just plain being a good human being. When I subscribed to your channel it wasn't just to see a lovely couple working on their beautiful chateau. I wanted to see what life is like in France and what it is like in your part of it. I wanted to see what your social life is like and I've stayed because that's exactly what I've received. Part of your lives right now is trying to get some aid to the people of Ukraine and people all over the world are trying, in big and small ways, to do the same. Most of us will never see where that aid goes and whom it reaches so for you to vlog even a small part of your experience was very touching and important. I hope you don't ever feel that we "just" watch to see chateau stuff. You both mean so much more than that to your viewers. Love you both tons.

You are amazing…full stop…I think you should just make the video about your trip. If someone objects to it, they can stop watching. ❤️

Thank you for sharing. It’s hard to imagine the strength it takes for the Ukrainian people to carry on when their whole life is challenged just to keep going. Thank you for your experience.

I would really love to see your documentary. If it’s filmed with half the heart, love and compassion you have shown so far it will be amazing. I’m always happy to be educated on things that matter, that I haven’t personally experienced. Thank you Phil. Life isn’t always about escapism and happiness.

I watch your channel because you're an amusing., quirky guy that says random things on the fly that let me know the water runs deep; your willfulness to enjoy life a constant reminder some of us need. You grant us the privilege of sharing your life. You don't need to shield us from your more serious experiences. Thank you! You are a beautiful creature!

You're not edited and no one is putting pressure on you to show what they want you to show. Your job isn't at stake. Great video.

My husband and I are so very glad you've shared this. I personally don't think you should have another channel for the documentary. Just label that one differently on this channel. If people don't want to watch it, they won't. I've skipped videos from various channels that I have no interest. But I would appreciate seeing your documentary, no matter where you post it. Bless you for taking aid to the Ukrainians. It shows you have a very big heart, and that can't be isolated from a chateau to giving aid. Thanks again for sharing. It was very touching. You have passed through Germany regularly, and to save costs, we'd be happy to offer a couple of beds in our house. We are about a 45 minutes to an hour south of Frankfurt. It's a serious offer. You don't know us, so I would understand if it wasn't comfortable for you. I might even be able to find a couple more people willing to offer accommodation in that area, if you're interested. There's no sense in paying money for substandard accommodation.

Thank you for explaining the trip to us, I feel that as a separate upload your documentary would certainly be suitable for this channel with appropriate disclaimers if people really don't want to see it.

Thank you for using your position as an influencer and your platform to help us become more sensitive to the needs of the Ukrainian people. Thank your buddies that took the long journey with you to deliver supplies. Please make at least short clips of what you saw in Ukraine. Even if we did subscribe to see beautiful chauteau scenes, we care about these people who are suffering. Blessings to you.
