What an absolute joy to see those tiddlers being welcomed; seeing a mix of concentration and pleasure on their faces as they were driving, and to see them being addressed and respected as intelligent individuals by the excellent volunteers, was just wonderful to behold.👍💖 Congratulations to all concerned.
I was also thinking the same, and most youngsters don't need much explaining how to use a piece of tech like that tablet, whoever thought of doing that and set it up deserves a pat on the back.
I was driving the Redlands. Motive power was a well used 56 008 which occasionally derailed ( leading axle front bogie ) while crossing an oblique baseboard joint. Whilst retailing the loco, a driver behind me ran into the rear of the Redlands, fouling the down slow. The double headed 90’s then hit the Redlands. No one was injured, no rolling stock or infrastructure damaged. All Form 1’s completed, and then thrown in the bin! That hasn’t been my worst accident, but we won’t go into that here... I really enjoyed my day running on the layout. Malcolm
Ohhh my god how long will the lines be down whilst they get a crane in place to clear the lines, l suppose all services out of London are cancelled, government advice is do not travel if you can work from home, use replacement bus service and you will get to your destination 😂🤣😂🤣

My autistic grandson filmed three trains derail and was very excited he had captured the moments.
