Not only was uncharted 3 my first intro to the franchise but the multiplayer was the most fun iv had online in years. If they made an online only uncharted but more like 2 & 3 id play everyday.
I just want Uncharted 2 multiplayer back. Took me 4 years to reach Level 80. I will never forgive ND for not bringing the online for 2 and 3 back for the remasters. Yet they brought the online back for the PS4 version of TLOU...
I played UC2 & UC3 multiplayer far more than UC4. And went to max rank back in the day. I only played the multiplayer for a bit a couple weeks after UC4 came out and beating its story mode. Late 2016 was forced to play multiplayer just to get the hard trophies before the patch came out and made it more impossible to get the trophies. Glad I got them all before that happened. Moved on to playing The Last Guardian & FFXV afterwards. It’s just not as fun as the other two.
This is why it's really sad that they only added classic mode after the fans were basically gone already. No mysticals, sidekicks, revives or OP weapon mods. Just whoever is the most skilled with movement and hitting their shots wins.
I’ve played this almost everyday since day one release. Uncharted has been my most beloved franchise since I played Uncharted 3 in 2011. It makes me so sad that they fumbled this multiplayer as bad as they did trying to add so many more “mechanics” that just make the game not fun at times. You can down 2 or 3 people but then be killed by a brute that they just happened to call in. Or a medic that’s able to revive them. I can go on for hours, but you can not deny that they engine that they are using for this game is incredible. The fluidity and the graphics are top tier. But at the end of the day Uncharted 3 takes the cake for the best multiplayer they have ever had for the franchise. I had a 3 kd and will forever miss Uncharted 3 multiplayer. Definitely a core memory for me.
What would you say is the most broken gun/weapon to use? I mean strongest/best one to including the rest of the class. Im just starting to get into this game.
@@RatedRRaj The Fal is one of the strongest weapons in the game if you are able to master it. A lot of people do not like burst ARs but if you give it some time you will see that it is top tier. The HS39 is an all around good AR to use for any new player. The Lowe-S is essentially a harder hitting HS39 with a slower fire rate. Which makes it slightly better considering you need less shots to kill someone. Make sure that you also pay attention to your sensitivity. A lot of people try using a sensitivity over 3 or 4 and they tend to have a hard time. Your ADS speed should never go above 4 in my opinion and your camera speed should be at 10 when you are looking around, not aiming down sights. This will help with hip fire when you run into someone up close. Maybe we can hop in a few games together. Let me know if that sounds like it interests you.
Uncharted 2 multiplayer was the goat simple but great, had mechanics like the campaign, stealth kills, fun co-op adventure, a lot of modes, decent balance, great DLC map packs and great DLC characters like Cole Macgrath from inFAMOUS etc. Uncharted 3 multiplayer was great, fun customization items, more mechanics than U2 MP, great co-op adventures with rewards, a ton of DLC map packs with most of the old maps from U2 included, decent balance as well. Uncharted 4 terrible mechanics, no stealth kills, unbalanced AI, unbalanced mysticals, unbalanced boosters, barely any DLC maps, abandoned quickly by the devs, littered with loot boxes/microntransactions (which is pretty scummy ngl), terrible balance only win with shitty loot box bullshit guns, pay2win, no co-op adventure, terrible horde mode. Only thing is great visuals and customization but terrible extra mode with wasted potential once Neil Cuckmann and Bruce took over the game. The original director Any Hennig actually put care into the extra modes besides just campaign. I also actually was a beta tester for Uncharted 4's multiplayer the suggestions I gave (as well as others gave) when i tested it went completely ignored by the stuck-up devs.
It can be a frustrating game, but I had a lot of really great hours with it. I think it's not meant to be serious and competitive - it's like the old days. Imbalance is the balance you're after if you want a fun game. You just go in without sweating and have a blast with all the goofy mechanics. On the whole, it's a fun experience, though 2 and 3 were better games overall, I can't pretend it isn't fun sending a hunter out to chokehold someone.
I honestly don't think it's unpopular to say that. I've always thought U2 was the the ultimate MP experience out of them all. I still remember the day I reached level 80 back in 2013. Took me 4 years to reach it and it was magical. Reaching 75 in U3 was much easier even with it's prestige system and overall the combat just felt much more satisfying in 2.
I spent so much time playing U2's multiplayer I probably have over 2000 hours on it lol. Such great memories, I think I would cry If I were to visit the maps again

Played UC2 & UC3 multiplayer for hours and hours everyday until maxed out, after 100% the trophies. Played UC4 multiplayer, got bored with it. Only played to get the very hard dlc trophies. After that I moved on to FFXV & The Last Guardian

Sad thing is that most of the old developers who were involved in the making of U1, U2, U3 and even U4 left. Starting with Amy Hennings departure till Bruce Straleys final day, Naughty Dog became worse over the time. Since all of them left, Neil Druckmann alias "I love lgbtq+ and everyone else must love it" Naughty Dog became a shithouse and the best example is Tlou2 as a result
I played Multiplayer back when the beta dropped and i thought it was kinda cool, little bit of rope swinging, four classes, and TTK felt good for an Uncharted game, i guess this is just what happens to games that have been around for 7+ years though
I think exactly the same when it comes to the team of tlou working on this u4 which instead of making at least like the u3 they went back to where you couldnt even run plus no surprise bomb when downed, just no movement but is not their fault because they dont know what they are doing and it was the upper management fault that selected the team.
For the lack of third person multiplayer shooters these days with a few of them not being polished (Rogue Company) people like me that come from games like Lost Planets multiplayer this feels right at home all of the uncharted multiplayers are underrated af
Exactly! I have a PS5, love 3rd person multiplayer games, and have had to buy UC4 to get my 'fix'. Damning indictment of the state of this generations offering when I'm dipping into a 7 year old game for fun. On a side note: completely disagree with OP. Since re-playing the game again last week I'm having a blast again with the multiplayer -- fun as ever!

Maybe im biased ive genuinely never had a problem with the multiplayer since i started playing till now (2017) Ive played uncharted 3 and 4 multiplayer, and i still come back to 4 Everytime for the multiplayer experience Everything you said seems greatly exxlaggerated in some way Maybe its just me but mysticals have done damage but nothing that raises my blood pressure. Ive never really seen a game that spams them that much. The sidekicks can be pretty annoying but its never really grinded my gears because i have access to the same thing Boosters and good guns help alot but i dont think it's really anything good skill cant beat and nothing bad skill wont hinder. You with weapon expert is good because you can aim. If you cant aim then weapon expert is useless TL;DR These points seems kinda exxlaggerated. Been playing for 6 years, never had anything as bad as he makes it out to be.
you have to understand that not everyone was ok with the severe changes u4 had in terms of gameplay. sure, maybe ur ok with it. u dont mind the mysticals, sidekicks, boosters, down system, unbalanced meta, etc, which is fine. but these gameplay mechanics/changes are the exact reasons why 95% of people left u4 back in 2016/2017
I hate how they’re just going thru Tlou’s side, while Uncharted has a lot more potentional than the shitbox they’ve done with factions 2 or whatever. Even if they’re not bringing us a new story, at least remake the multiplayer so it won’t bring our fun into shit

I think it's far from being a skill issue, I've had matches where I was the top player back-to-back in Uncharted 4 and I swear to god I wasn't having 1/5 of the fun I had in Uncharted 3 matches where my k/d ratio was 0.2 and I was getting my a** whooped. The game's just not fun. The majority of people I see saying they enjoy U4 are the ones who have never played U2 and U3 and it just goes to show it's no match for the previous multiplayer games
I don’t think U4 MP is that bad-wait the cope is coming sorry it ‘is’ bad-but the gunplay is the only thing that for me is stopping my continuous enjoyment of the game. It is 100% the cherry that makes the game not good either. It is clearly Counter Strike inspired. You don’t follow the crosshair, you follow the bullets, the dot within the crosshair, and the dot generally follows a familiar recoil pattern just like in Counter Strike. You never, never rely on the crosshair for accuracy as a result, only as a reference point. Look, I’m not going to pretend like it isn’t satisfying to learn the gunplay as a result, but the fact of the matter is this kind of gunplay creates unnecessary stress. Yes it broadens the skill ceiling considerably, but it was better staying exclusive to Counter Strike because it’s a competitive game. U4 MP is not a competitive game, and like AI being a chore as opposed to being “innovative,” the gunplay in this game is a chore too, unnecessarily slapped on and is a genuine miss. Pulling down on a mouse and in certain directions on a target with no gimmicks is much better than having to do it on a stupidly small joystick while already dealing with awful boosters like Mark on Damage, Mysticals, Sidekicks, Speed-glitchers, and Cronus users while being forced into running largely the same loadouts to counter it all 24/7. I get this may sound like that it kind of regurgitates your point of “good gunplay in bad game” and your additional point of there being *no point to mastering the gunplay due to all the gimmicks,* but I’m trying to express that it’s actually *UNNECESSARY* gunplay in a game that would be more tolerable without it. Just think about it. Everything is easy EXCEPT recoil patterns. You can get even easier by buying things like Weapon Expert & One-Use Boosters. If you take this gunplay out and replace it with generic easy-to-read RNG recoil that lives within the crosshair effectively, you legitimately would not be stressed out by it. On top of that, recoil patterns don’t stay consistent. Sometimes whatever gun you’re using will follow the same recoil pattern you had one magazine ago, but suddenly your bullets veer into a different universe. Even though it’s somewhat tolerable since you can literally see where your bullets are going with the dot in the crosshair, it doesn’t change the fact that the basics of combat is still a lottery, and with occasional gunfights at medium range, it ‘can’ get some people screwed. There’s no real way to memorize the spray patterns. It makes it even easier for me to say “I hope they shut down the servers for this absolute fence sit of a game.” I don’t care if I’d end up missing the gunplay as a result, because I literally have Counter Strike to go to for it and it was not intended for a fast paced game like U4 MP. It’s severely out of place and betrayed the veteran’s expectation of this being more casual without being a crutch simulator. I guarantee you mastering this empty replication of Counter Strike’s complicated gunplay is another reason why U2 and 3 MP vets stopped playing. I sure as hell do not recall following spray patterns on those two games, I just pointed and shot. Edit: Top 3% on TDM leaderboards, 80% win ratio and 5.0 KO + Downs ratio, not a skill issue, just an objective issue that I am surprised has gone terribly underspoken. You just can’t have complex gunplay in an already gimmick-overloaded game, it’s literally the final straw, especially if the game is way too fast paced for it. The closest game I can think of that has worked in this regard is Valorant, and even then I am pretty sure not everyone agrees the game is good with determining skill with all that crap either LOL. Counter Strike did it better and it should stay that way overall. Appreciate Naughty Dog for trying to streamline it because it ‘is’ satisfying, but it ‘is’ awful that it even exists too.
This is probably exactly why I only play Survival. Which, don't get me wrong, is chock-full of its own BS and glitches. But... it's against AI, and a decent amount of the glitches are to my own benefit lol.

I am gonna play Devil's Advocate here. - The mysticals are broken mechanics that started making sense in the King of the Hill game-modes. Turning the economy into a factor to consider for a team to win (as for the loadout builds - Boosters are easy to get through gaming a few matches, I don't feel the same P2W as I feel in other games - Weapons are unbalanced, however, you have over 6 weapons that can be used in any competitive match. Lowe, HS, Fal, Mettler. Damn, I have even seen players grinding with INSAS In my opinion they just gave up on the game before digging into more new game modes that added easter eggs to all these powers portrayed during the first games. Along balancing the game according to the comnunity feedback.
Oh yeah, I once played a round where there were two people who found an exploit that let them under the map. I was put on their team, so I decided I was done with it and I let the last person on the other team kill me. The guys buddy then messaged me telling me to go play Minecraft. Like, get a life.
As someone who has never played UC 3,2&1 I absolutely love U4 Multiplayer I couldn’t disagree with this video anymore but I understand from your point of veiw. 2 things I dislikes with a passion is Heavy Weapons I think they’re pointless there’s no need for them when there’s already enough regular weapons in the game And the fact that’s you can use a C4 from a downed position, if you’re downed you shouldn’t be able to do Anything from an offensive standpoint.

Who runs into 3 brutes with a Sniper rifle? But I agree; Weapon Expert changes the game, and gives a player a huge advantage; but it's free. Any new character is given enough free gold to buy it; after a few matches. It's been like that for years; unless something has recently changed. That being said; Uncharted 4 is fun as hell. I played it for YEARS. The Mines, C4, Grenades, Med packs, all offer different styles of play. The backup pets can be easily taken out; or used in a strategic pinch. And most of the additions aren't that bad. El dorado is a nice answer when you're getting jumped. The only real annoying thing in the game, is Indra's Eternity (Slow Circle). That is trash. But if Naughty Dog made a new Uncharted game; that took most of the new stuff out, and put it more in line with Uncharted 3 multiplayer; I wouldn't be mad. Indra's Eternity would be the first thing gone, if there ever was a list.
Not sure if you’re a GenZer that came up on different multiplayer experiences but the reason why I loved U4 is because of the team focused mechanics. You’re leaving a critique on in game mechanics that are meant to be utilized as a team. I played this game for 2 or 3 years nonstop with my boys and we were some sweats both in ranked and unranked and I stepped down from a dps role into a strict support role which helped us land a lot of winstreaks. I was that guy using a revive pack or a stone to get my team up because I focused on the initial win rather than an individual performance. You must have been a solo player trying to master sniping and gunplay only so your critique is going to be based on your play style. If you’re an individualistic solo dps player, you will HATE this game because it doesn’t run like COD which supports that style of play. Nothing wrong with that style of play however.
i think u make a good point, the solo experience on this game is abysmal, at least in comparison to its predecessors. thats why people hate this mp, it was a great solo experience turned 3rd person overwatch. it doesnt make sense why they would drastically change the games identity
Played the mp for 2 years ish now, less than the pros n ranked ones before. Too bad the franchise got put sideways now, dying a slow death when it could've been so much more with the points given. Ah well..just play this game now for the multiplayer experience 😂
Great analysis, Speaking of games everything you need to buy to gain advantage I don't like it, you can say this is the real world, we buy things to gain advantage, but in games it doesn't work very well in my opinion. And that part of striving to get good at something when you can just use an overpower weapon is kind of frustrating indeed, if only the reward for being good was greater than simply using a strong weapon would make sense.

Weapon experts take is wrong. It’s only good against mediocre players but if you’re a bit better, then it’s not too bad to outshoot a weapons expert user without weapons expert yourself. I like U4 because it’s only option like it but U3 was better for sure.
thats the point. you have a huge disadvantage if you dont have weapon expert hence, why its really good against bad/mediocre players. sure theres times when you can outgun someone thats using it, but its undoubtedly the best booster in the game right next to combat marking

Lol, no. Classic mode offered players the UC3 and UC2 experience and apparently no one really cared. I like the medpaks and mysticals because they add more dynamics and depth to the game and there are a lot of counter measures available. KOTH can get crazy chaotic and competitive thanks to all these different choices. Complaining about UC4 blindfire is hilarious considering that the sprint/blindfire/melee in UC3 was/is so overpowered the game barely even resembled a shooting game at times. So glad they nerfed that scrub garbage. I agree weapon expert should have been default, but you can get by without it and even dominate(LightofAndromeda being a perfect example). It literally gives you the jump on other players in open firefights, but it’s easily nullified by a player who can use cover effectively. I agree that combat marking is absurd, and it needs to be patched for the stealth booster. The game’s weapons are fairly balanced to be quite honest if you know the most effective range for each gun. The Krivosk is mediocre up close and the pistole is arguably the best close range gun in the game and barely anyone even uses it. It’s not the game’s fault most people don’t explore outside the meta. Primary and secondary guns can cover each other’s weaknesses, for example copperhead and the micro or the fal and the aegis, etc. you can definitely rock paper scissors the other player if you know the strengths and weaknesses of each gun. I agree, the movement and shooting mechanics for this game are indeed superb. The netcode in the game is tailored towards the fastest connection, so improving your latency can drastically effect your aim assist so keep in mind that they might not be cheating, they might just be the host/have a faster connection than you. This is no different from UC2/3. My only shared gripe is the game needs more legacy maps like highrise and such.

Uncharted 2 multiplayer was simple and fun. And intended to be simple and fun/arcade like.
it was also one of the first to monetize skins.
It can be a frustrating game, but I had a lot of really great hours with it. I think it's not meant to be serious and competitive - it's like the old days. Imbalance is the balance you're after if you want a fun game. You just go in without sweating and have a blast with all the goofy mechanics.
On the whole, it's a fun experience, though 2 and 3 were better games overall, I can't pretend it isn't fun sending a hunter out to chokehold someone.

U3 was great no doubt, but there was something magical about the U2 days.
I honestly don't think it's unpopular to say that. I've always thought U2 was the the ultimate MP experience out of them all. I still remember the day I reached level 80 back in 2013. Took me 4 years to reach it and it was magical. Reaching 75 in U3 was much easier even with it's prestige system and overall the combat just felt much more satisfying in 2.
The skill ceiling in U3 is higher than U2, the gun play is also smoother, the mechanics are better. U3 is better.
I spent so much time playing U2's multiplayer I probably have over 2000 hours on it lol.

Played UC2 & UC3 multiplayer for hours and hours everyday until maxed out, after 100% the trophies. Played UC4 multiplayer, got bored with it. Only played to get the very hard dlc trophies. After that I moved on to FFXV & The Last Guardian

Sad thing is that most of the old developers who were involved in the making of U1, U2, U3 and even U4 left. Starting with Amy Hennings departure till Bruce Straleys final day, Naughty Dog became worse over the time. Since all of them left, Neil Druckmann alias "I love lgbtq+ and everyone else must love it" Naughty Dog became a shithouse and the best example is Tlou2 as a result
I played Multiplayer back when the beta dropped and i thought it was kinda cool, little bit of rope swinging, four classes, and TTK felt good for an Uncharted game, i guess this is just what happens to games that have been around for 7+ years though
I loved Uncharted 2M and was pretty decent, however I could never get into this version. The simplicity and everyone being equal made 2M so good.

I think exactly the same when it comes to the team of tlou working on this u4 which instead of making at least like the u3 they went back to where you couldnt even run plus no surprise bomb when downed, just no movement but is not their fault because they dont know what they are doing and it was the upper management fault that selected the team.
For the lack of third person multiplayer shooters these days with a few of them not being polished (Rogue Company) people like me that come from games like Lost Planets multiplayer this feels right at home all of the uncharted multiplayers are underrated af

Boosters and good guns help alot but i dont think it's really anything good skill cant beat and nothing bad skill wont hinder. You with weapon expert is good because you can aim.

I think it's far from being a skill issue, I've had matches where I was the top player back-to-back in Uncharted 4 and I swear to god I wasn't having 1/5 of the fun I had in Uncharted 3 matches where my k/d ratio was 0.2 and I was getting my a** whooped. The game's just not fun. The majority of people I see saying they enjoy U4 are the ones who have never played U2 and U3 and it just goes to show it's no match for the previous multiplayer games

I don’t think U4 MP is that bad-wait the cope is coming sorry it ‘is’ bad-but the gunplay is the only thing that for me is stopping my continuous enjoyment of the game. It is 100% the cherry that makes the game not good either. It is clearly Counter Strike inspired. You don’t follow the crosshair, you follow the bullets, the dot within the crosshair, and the dot generally follows a familiar recoil pattern just like in Counter Strike. You never, never rely on the crosshair for accuracy as a result, only as a reference point.
Look, I’m not going to pretend like it isn’t satisfying to learn the gunplay as a result, but the fact of the matter is this kind of gunplay creates unnecessary stress. Yes it broadens the skill ceiling considerably, but it was better staying exclusive to Counter Strike because it’s a competitive game. U4 MP is not a competitive game, and like AI being a chore as opposed to being “innovative,” the gunplay in this game is a chore too, unnecessarily slapped on and is a genuine miss. Pulling down on a mouse and in certain directions on a target with no gimmicks is much better than having to do it on a stupidly small joystick while already dealing with awful boosters like Mark on Damage, Mysticals, Sidekicks, Speed-glitchers, and Cronus users while being forced into running largely the same loadouts to counter it all 24/7. I get this may sound like that it kind of regurgitates your point of “good gunplay in bad game” and your additional point of there being *no point to mastering the gunplay due to all the gimmicks,* but I’m trying to express that it’s actually *UNNECESSARY* gunplay in a game that would be more tolerable without it.
Just think about it. Everything is easy EXCEPT recoil patterns. You can get even easier by buying things like Weapon Expert & One-Use Boosters. If you take this gunplay out and replace it with generic easy-to-read RNG recoil that lives within the crosshair effectively, you legitimately would not be stressed out by it.
On top of that, recoil patterns don’t stay consistent. Sometimes whatever gun you’re using will follow the same recoil pattern you had one magazine ago, but suddenly your bullets veer into a different universe. Even though it’s somewhat tolerable since you can literally see where your bullets are going with the dot in the crosshair, it doesn’t change the fact that the basics of combat is still a lottery, and with occasional gunfights at medium range, it ‘can’ get some people screwed. There’s no real way to memorize the spray patterns.
It makes it even easier for me to say “I hope they shut down the servers for this absolute fence sit of a game.” I don’t care if I’d end up missing the gunplay as a result, because I literally have Counter Strike to go to for it and it was not intended for a fast paced game like U4 MP. It’s severely out of place and betrayed the veteran’s expectation of this being more casual without being a crutch simulator. I guarantee you mastering this empty replication of Counter Strike’s complicated gunplay is another reason why U2 and 3 MP vets stopped playing. I sure as hell do not recall following spray patterns on those two games, I just pointed and shot.
Edit: Top 3% on TDM leaderboards, 80% win ratio and 5.0 KO + Downs ratio, not a skill issue, just an objective issue that I am surprised has gone terribly underspoken. You just can’t have complex gunplay in an already gimmick-overloaded game, it’s literally the final straw, especially if the game is way too fast paced for it. The closest game I can think of that has worked in this regard is Valorant, and even then I am pretty sure not everyone agrees the game is good with determining skill with all that crap either LOL.
Counter Strike did it better and it should stay that way overall. Appreciate Naughty Dog for trying to streamline it because it ‘is’ satisfying, but it ‘is’ awful that it even exists too.
This is probably exactly why I only play Survival. Which, don't get me wrong, is chock-full of its own BS and glitches. But... it's against AI, and a decent amount of the glitches are to my own benefit lol.

The more I play it, the more I dislike it. Only reason I still play it time to time is because it’s the only existing multiplayer left for this franchise. For me, Uncharted 2 was the pinnacle of what the best UC multiplayer should be. It was the most balanced without trying too hard to be like other games. I am gonna play Devil's Advocate here.
- The mysticals are broken mechanics that started making sense in the King of the Hill game-modes. Turning the economy into a factor to consider for a team to win (as for the loadout builds
- Boosters are easy to get through gaming a few matches, I don't feel the same P2W as I feel in other games
- Weapons are unbalanced, however, you have over 6 weapons that can be used in any competitive match. Lowe, HS, Fal, Mettler. Damn, I have even seen players grinding with INSAS
In my opinion they just gave up on the game before digging into more new game modes that added easter eggs to all these powers portrayed during the first games.

As someone who has never played UC 3,2&1 I absolutely love U4 Multiplayer I couldn’t disagree with this video anymore but I understand from your point of veiw.
2 things I dislikes with a passion is Heavy Weapons I think they’re pointless there’s no need for them when there’s already enough regular weapons in the game
And the fact that’s you can use a C4 from a downed position, if you’re downed you shouldn’t be able to do Anything from an offensive standpoint.
I like that you can C4 when downed. It gives it a benefit over grenades. Nerfing it would just add a less variety of players.

I agree with your thumbnail, I only needed 1 day AT LAUNCH of U4 to know the multiplayer was trash. U2's multiplayer was peak, 3 was alright but not as good, 4 was genuinely trash, the fact you could spawn in bots to fight for you was stupid. But I agree; Weapon Expert changes the game, and gives a player a huge advantage; but it's free.
Any new character is given enough free gold to buy it; after a few matches.
It's been like that for years; unless something has recently changed.
That being said; Uncharted 4 is fun as hell. I played it for YEARS.
The Mines, C4, Grenades, Med packs, all offer different styles of play. The backup pets can be easily taken out; or used in a strategic pinch.
And most of the additions aren't that bad. El dorado is a nice answer when you're getting jumped.
The only real annoying thing in the game, is Indra's Eternity (Slow Circle). That is trash.
But if Naughty Dog made a new Uncharted game; that took most of the new stuff out, and put it more in line with Uncharted 3 multiplayer; I wouldn't be mad.
Indra's Eternity would be the first thing gone, if there ever was a list.
If there's one thing I hated Uncharted 4 for, its not bringing back The Lab maps.
Not sure if you’re a GenZer that came up on different multiplayer experiences but the reason why I loved U4 is because of the team focused mechanics.
You’re leaving a critique on in game mechanics that are meant to be utilized as a team. I played this game for 2 or 3 years nonstop with my boys and we were some sweats both in ranked and unranked and I stepped down from a dps role into a strict support role which helped us land a lot of winstreaks.
I was that guy using a revive pack or a stone to get my team up because I focused on the initial win rather than an individual performance. You must have been a solo player trying to master sniping and gunplay only so your critique is going to be based on your play style.
If you’re an individualistic solo dps player, you will HATE this game because it doesn’t run like COD which supports that style of play. Nothing wrong with that style of play however.
i think u make a good point, the solo experience on this game is abysmal, at least in comparison to its predecessors. thats why people hate this mp, it was a great solo experience turned 3rd person overwatch. it doesnt make sense why they would drastically change the games identity

Great analysis, Speaking of games everything you need to buy to gain advantage I don't like it, you can say this is the real world, we buy things to gain advantage, but in games it doesn't work very well in my opinion. And that part of striving to get good at something when you can just use an overpower weapon is kind of frustrating indeed, if only the reward for being good was greater than simply using a strong weapon would make sense.

Weapon experts take is wrong. It’s only good against mediocre players but if you’re a bit better, then it’s not too bad to outshoot a weapons expert user without weapons expert yourself. I like U4 because it’s only option like it but U3 was better for sure.
thats the point. you have a huge disadvantage if you dont have weapon expert hence, why its really good against bad/mediocre players. sure theres times when you can outgun someone thats using it, but its undoubtedly the best booster in the game right next to combat marking

Lol, no. Classic mode offered players the UC3 and UC2 experience and apparently no one really cared. I like the medpaks and mysticals because they add more dynamics and depth to the game and there are a lot of counter measures available. KOTH can get crazy chaotic and competitive thanks to all these different choices.
Complaining about UC4 blindfire is hilarious considering that the sprint/blindfire/melee in UC3 was/is so overpowered the game barely even resembled a shooting game at times. So glad they nerfed that scrub garbage.
I agree weapon expert should have been default, but you can get by without it and even dominate(LightofAndromeda being a perfect example). It literally gives you the jump on other players in open firefights, but it’s easily nullified by a player who can use cover effectively.
I agree that combat marking is absurd, and it needs to be patched for the stealth booster.
The game’s weapons are fairly balanced to be quite honest if you know the most effective range for each gun. The Krivosk is mediocre up close and the pistole is arguably the best close range gun in the game and barely anyone even uses it. It’s not the game’s fault most people don’t explore outside the meta.
Primary and secondary guns can cover each other’s weaknesses, for example copperhead and the micro or the fal and the aegis, etc. you can definitely rock paper scissors the other player if you know the strengths and weaknesses of each gun.
I agree, the movement and shooting mechanics for this game are indeed superb.
The netcode in the game is tailored towards the fastest connection, so improving your latency can drastically effect your aim assist so keep in mind that they might not be cheating, they might just be the host/have a faster connection than you. This is no different from UC2/3.
My only shared gripe is the game needs more legacy maps like highrise and such.
