If Itachi were to find out he'd likely get his crow to Kotoamatsukami Naruto into going back to the village. The jutsu would land on Naruto but not on Kurama who would break Naruto free as soon as Itachi left. Naruto would then become weary of Itachi and by association people with the akatsuki's uniform. Naruto would feel pressured to step up his training to avoid a situation like that again. Kurama might try to get Naruto to learn the adamantite chains exclusive to the Uzumaki as his previous containers all had that ability. And I'm all out of brain power to think of more stuff

You made many great observations and I totally didn't think about orochimaru but this kind of change would probably affect the entire timeline and it would be fun to explore/watch
