the combat remind me of sleeping dogs more than yakuza, i feel like the combat missing all lot of things like effects and camera shake when doing heavy attacks , and i think the camera angle should be lower instead of upper similar to yakuza 3 , i hopes this helps
This looks cool, but the combat seems very weightless, adding in some hit stop, so that the characters have a hard pause when a punch connects between the two would help, it sells the impact. Also don't be afraid to tighten the animations on the grabs, it might look weird to have characters sort of pop into a place when grabbing them, but it looks much better then the hands clipping though the character. I would definitely like to try this and play it. Honestly the combat looks more like Sleeping Dogs then Yakuza, the big thing with Yakuza is the rush combo system, the fact that you can hit square to combo and then hit triangle to finish the combo with a unique move, along with the ability to lock onto one enemy to focus or to unlock and do more AOE attacks, and lastly the heat actions are so iconic, if you nail those three things, combat is now Yakuza styled.
I think the finished product wont look much different than what we see here bought the 1st game and it didn't look too different from this. But i did not know a second game was being worked on.
I'm from indonesia and lots of gamers here have expressed complaints especially on the combat of this game since this is a sequel but the dev seems so hard to listen to criticism
Probably because of budget devs can't fixed it. Y know our country Indonesia won't support games, anime, comics etc, only invested in corruption and our president's family
@@takiyayep8436 the game is published and funded by overseas partner so it's not a matter of country. Besides, games like When The Past Around, Coffee Talk or Space for The Unbound are made here too
@@darkmaster2899 if u don't know what sifu, here is an explanation, sifu is a game where you fights off Boys and girls, master bosses, and etc. Its also like LJ and yakuza combine together, but its instead of dropping money, it gives you exp per enermy kills, it has also brutal abilities, and also Qte's too, Its kinda good game for me Ngl, It was released since 2022 tho, thats all i can explain for now :))

I'm not the dev but thanks for the constructive criticism
the idea is there, i like it, but it looks so far from a finished product
Early build let's hope the devs polished it for release
@@darkmaster2899 yep 👍

They couldn't have even bothered to make a unique UI for the karaoke lmao
As the local, im pretty sure the dev tried to make yakuza refference game and they make this fr
I see
I recommend you to play the first game first
I did

The combat seems really rough. Maybe even Yakuza 1 on the PS2 had more polished gameplay.
not really, yakuza 1 movement kinda slow
@@radityaris3478 Yakuza 1 had more weight to the combat. In this game, it feels like the attacks are so light and weak.
@@zmovies7991Very early in progress, but this one looks promising, love the art.
Yeah should focus on that more than Graphic
@@zmovies7991 no, its feels kinda alr.
