  • Making contact via the ARISS FM repeater on the International Space Station. Contacts with GB22YOTA (Youth on the Air in UK), EA7JHK (Angel in Spain) and 2E0HOQ (Neil in UK). Using a ICOM IC-9700 radio and a Co-linear antenna only. No beam required. The path overhead (Azimuth and Elevation) is shown at the end of the video.

Nice one Adam, we will have to have a sked via one of the birds, once I get my aerials re-connected. Hope to get the IVG shack back on air over Xmas.

I can hear the sat fine, and have the CTSS set to 67Mhz, how much power are you running ? I dont want to put to much in, using 5W at the moment,.

With a vertical you have to use some power. Just increase 5w at a time and dont be surprised if you have to use 50w. Most of the power will go side ways and not up. A 15 degrees yagi needs a lot less power as you are directing it all at the sat.
