It's not jsut a song, it's part of an album; listen to it from the begining and reflect. To me this is about a woman delivering a message to her ex that didn't love her properly but that's just biased by my previous experiences. I used to be this guy she sings about but I changed my ways upon losing someone and this album helps me retain that essence. To you this song might aswell be about icecream and I'd have no argument that the song is infact about icecream.
The meaning I get from this song is also biased to my own experience but I feel as tho sevdaliza wrote the lyrics from the same place that I was at emotionally during that experience. The first person I ever loved was someone who used me. She was in love with someone else and every time she broke up with him, I would always b the one to break her fall because I was in love with her. I could never make her fall in love with me instead and commit to only me (it's true, in this life I've never been the one, in your eyes, I've never been the truth). We went on and off for 2 years. Part of the reason for my being in love with her was her tragic past, I could relate to her pain, and she could only relate to the things about me that she didn't like within herself so in a way she detested me for acknowledging the weaknesses that we both had (all u saw, was a broken mirror). Telling her story to someone I trusted with advice would immediately cause sympathy (they told me to care). In some ways or another I wanted to help and heal her from her past but that was unfair to me because I was hurting myself by trying to help her (I'm tryna fix your heart). She was toxic, never truly making up her mind about what she wanted, but keeping me around for her own comfort whenever she wanted to. She never even realized the hurt she was causing me but regardless I tried to comfort her and shake my own feelings of jealousy, vengeance and betrayal off for her sake, cuz I didn't want to give her any reason as to y she shouldn't confide in me with her own thoughts of suicide but then again, I knew I shouldn't care enough to ask her to be only mine because I just knew that it would never b possible. The thought of it not being possible made me feel unworthy and it completely fucked with my self esteem even tho I was already trying my hardest to believe in myself (it's unfair, I'm tryna fix myself and not care too much about u)
