I know his damage won’t be the best but I’m actually more looking forward to getting him for offense. I run path 9 in war so his immunities will be perfect. And his damage method is very similar to overseer. Slow ramp up for some great burst damage and then the ramp falls off a you have to reramp up. But match ups where you can ramp overseer quickly via his immunities, he becomes a nuke attacker. I don’t think Maestro will be quite as fast but I don’t think he will be too slow either. Maybe I’m being too optimistic but all the attack boosts in his kit should make his sp1 burst quite nice.
I will point out the attack boosts are all quite small. I think the total from superior rage and all three furies is around 50% of base, whereas Overseer gets around triple that from a 6-gamma cosmic mode, so you probably are being a bit optimistic, but I agree the immunities are very good and he'll likely have some use.
@@Daddylonglegs93 I pulled the 6* and took him to R5 and ascended him. He’s definitely no damage nuke but his damage is definitely usable. I think the 7* won’t be very usable on attack without the dupe though. He really needs the fury refresh to maintain his damage. One thing I like about him is it’s easy to maintain his rage form as long as you don’t have to waste too much time baiting specials.

Thank you for pointing out Energy Penetration only applies to attacks, I completely missed that my first read-through and got very scared of Cosmic Radiation (still scary, not quite as much). That said, if I have the Energy Penetration and Cosmic Radiation ticks as I’m landing an attack, that would still cut through half of their Energy Resist. by the same logic as the SP1 bursts, right?
Does this mean we are getting a duped maestro in necropolis? The image in the live streams showed a duped 7* and there is no way to dupe him at the moment
Well Glad to see Glancing and Root on same defender. My issue be debuff immune nodes , and Hazard shift nodes limit his counters . Kindred should have passive atrophy and new mystics should have passive atrophy to actually present a reasonable counter in my opinion
In game abiltys on special 2 says he can gain up to 6 furies but he only gains 3. So they write it wrong or is it a bug? Hope is a bug and he will gain 6 furies haha
Nah, pretty sure it's three. Probably just an old string from when the kit looked very different. Easier for that to slip through than for both the spotlight and the kit's function to be wrong.
No one is burst damage immune either, and plenty of champs deal with debuffs. Energy resist does exist, but especially in mystic, which is supposed to be the best class against him. I don't think your suggestion would've been better.

Good point I’ll tone down my optimism a little bit, but I’m still optimistic lol. Will have to wait till I get my hands on him.

No, that was just an image from someone's dev account who'd been testing him. Neither rarity will be duped from this.

It looks like he's going to be useful for other annoying nodes like Backblast, Caustic Temper, EMP mod, etc.

Not a bad attacker, but not great as someone like Hulkling for example. However he could be useful for Alliance war as a two way champ
