Arc System Works showed a short teaser for another character after Arc Revo Japan finals - it seems like they might add Bedman or Delilah to Guilty Gear Strive! So in this video, let's look at Bedman in Guilty Gear XRD.

Bruh I’mma be real, every Guilty Gear player hates every character who ain’t their main. And they also hate their main when it’s a mirror match. Guilty Gear is full of war criminals and I think that’s beautiful.

I think either this or Delilah being actually in the bed is cool, but with this we get Delilah talking to her brother as if he's there while the bed acts on it's own, and that interests me anyway.

Deja Vu almost makes more sense as a mechanic for Delilah, as it's literally the bed coming in from offscreen to assist her exactly how it does in story mode...
but she doesnt have her own bed for the initial special so it would just be the same thing twice?
I wouldn't be surprised if the bed is just there for her like Relius or Celica from Blazblue.

I think bedman is a really unique character due to the deja vu mechanic. Makes him unique to many other characters across all fighting games.

bedman's combat concept is really cool and i like it.
Well this has nothing to do with Delilah and it's high on hopium, but based on what we saw in Xrd story, which archetype you think Gabriel would be in? I think he would be a character with limited screen control that's used to break defenses and push in. I know it's useless to talk about characters that have no sign of getting in so far, but I like to explore ideas and I really don't have questions about bedmen.
He taught Potemkin how to Buster, so perhaps he could be a semi-grappler like Mika in Street Fighter or Bullet in Blazblue?
@@ethanhinton4549 That's true, but I think that he taught Potemkin the buster while not using it himself, he just teached his student based on his corporature. So far we have only seen that he uses few powerful blows and can use projectiles that seems like to be harder hitting hadokens. Having a command grab is NOT out of the options for sure, but I'd expect him to be more similar to Heiachi on some way. Until ArcSys bless us with more info we can only cope and fantazise.
Gabriel strikes me as a character with fast but stiff movement, short to medium range buttons, and short but very powerful combos. He'd have very, very strong strike/throw gameplay and nasty setplay, but no fireballs and none of the super long buttons grapplers normally get. Think like Makoto from Street Fighter, but with more traditional grapples.
EDIT: Note when I say no fireballs, I mean in the traditional fighting game sense. He would get his ranged punch attack seen in story mode, but it would be an odd sort of projectile not built for zoning, but as a tool of some sort. Those punch attacks he projects could be his special resource, actually, so they're not spammable but they have great properties and frame data.
I'd say a slower slayer with some powerful close range options. He'd lack movement but he could call in military aid for setplay, as well as brawling in close quarters. Movement would be very limited for him however, and he could get a far less damaging buster for a grab
These are all interesting ideas. For reference I envisioned him kinda like Luke from SFV, but more refined in his moves and with blows that have a hard hit feeling like order Sol. Maybe some sprinkle of Oni or Gouken in there.
I'm still hoping for Ditzy ngl but I like all the new characters tbh

A point i would like to make is that it's not XX to Xrd, XX AC is kinda different to Xrd, but XX#R is not. In fact the devs even said that in their interview or somewhere in the game that Xrd is based on #R much more than any other iteration.

IMO Bedman seems like a character that would suit SonicFox mainly because of setup potential with Deja Vu.

I hate Bedman bc his matchup vs Sin is actually pretty good and his air movement means I need to think about how to anti air him instead of just using my godlike 6P
One of the things I think is cool about Bedman is that because his walk speed is by far the fastest in the game, not even close, they built his offense around it by making his throw game scary, with throw giving him a full combo and seal setups in the corner

I don't like super weird characters because of how they look. So the Anime Fighting Games doesn't appeal to me as much. I still will play them. I collect all 2D Fighting Games. I just prefer the Martial Arts type of look and feel to them like The King of Fighters & Street Fighter. Anyway, I'm definitely disappointed Bedman? is the next DLC Character.
I mean, with Guilty Gear simply being comprised of mostly non martial arts style characters, what character were you hoping for? Jam? Slayer?
@Gorade yeah Jam or Slayer. It didn't matter. I wasn't going to play it that much. I just buy all the Games to support the Genre. I have every game in the Series because I'm a collector of all 2D Fighting Games.

@DuckOnQuack No one is crying. I hardly play Strive, so I don't care who comes out. I got better games to play like KOF XV, Samurai Shodown & Street Fighter 6. I'll pick up the rest of Strive Characters on sale whoever it is. GGXXACPR is the best Guilty Gear to play anyway.
