Jingles' laugh is always cheering, heartwarming and thoroughly nice. Except for that one time in Chaos Gate when he was too lazy/busy to fight for a planet and declared Exterminatus. Jingles' laugh was suddenly downright creepy and sinister as he gave the order and the torpedoes were made ready.....

It did say 'continuous damage', which would suggest that rather than a chance to maybe shoot at the actual threat, it would be a chance to single out a single aircraft in that attack group that will get pounded above anyone else. But who am I kidding, this is WG, even if I am right there will be something else hilariously broken.

I think the two of us end up taking out 6 or 7 and the CV taking pot shots at the other side as the ships are in a loose cluster. The CV could drop me and lose half the aircraft and I dodge or drop my friend who can't dodge but loose everything. We had a very aircraft free game and I got a nice message post game from the Iowa. These days the DM has serious issues with T4 CVs.

But it was a code (along with BeefCurtains, Dutchovens, et al.) to unlock special characters in that game so I looked it up on the rudimentary internet of the day and had a good laugh. And, yes, I readily remember that cheat code even 21 years later.
Considering WG's recent devblogs about Pan Amercian crusiers being all about 'we can assume, perhaps, it could have been possible for nations of the South American continent to purchase these kinds of vessels' (when it actually wasn't). Their AA mechanics being based on the assumptions of the possibility of a chance fits well with their new strategy of 'We assume'.
Listening to you laugh and "needing a minute" because of a dirty joke always makes my day. The first one I remember was the Cruiser talking about getting ready to take out enemy DDs by saying "Gonna clap me some loliboat cheeks".
i remember a replay involving a carrier i forget part of it but it essentially runs along the lines of: carrier: i'm going to clap your cheeks: main hero ( in a DD): give me a chance to get my lube Carrier: no, i'm going in dry.

4:23 Actually Jingles, warship shells aren't made of lead, so "putting lead downrange" would mean that your crew is up on the deck firing small arms at your enemies, which is probably not the best use of their time 😁
It's an expression well-known to any of us who have served. "Putting lead downrange" refers to basically any type of ranged ordnance, regardless of its actual composition.

That wasn't actually a replay bug after he burst fired the Conde. He just didn't fire the rear turrets, so they were still being shown as loaded and ready to fire.
Jingles may cover it later, but I think focusing on using the burst fire with an imminent threat is not what you should primarily focus it on, if you get a a disappointing set of salvos you may be in deep trouble with a slow reload after, BUT if you know your target is about to go dark/you are out of range/going behind an island, with no other target - this is the time to definitely use it. I say this with complete authority, having never purchased a supership, but watched a few videos.... (and some of them get extra penetration during burst fire)

I'm not exactly sure if Jingles misunderstood something or I did... about the proposed AA changes that is. Somebody correct me if I got it wrong. Attacking group, when it is already performing an attack can't reinforce now. Otherwise you would be able to shoot down the entire enemy flight group - they would still drop you, most likely, but would also loose most aircraft potentially if this was the case. The way it works, from what I understand - your air group is divided into squadrons: 4/4* 4/4 and 4/4 for example - so 3 squadrons of 4 - 3 potential drops - the one marked with * is the attacking squadron. How it works now is that shot down planes immediately replenish the first - attacking squadron - so, let's say, you shot down 5 planes, it will look ALWAYS like this. 4/4* 3/4 and 0/4 - 5 planes shot only from "back" squadrons - you will still get one full drop of 4 planes. Basically - non attacking squadrons now act as extension of flight group's health bar, pretty much guaranteeing that at least one drop is going to be full strength. Considering that most aircraft carriers drop only once anyway and retreat to preserve aircraft, this makes AA feel useless - because it is. Aircraft on attack run very rarely take enough damage to severely weaken said run to begin with. But with proposed changes - AA MAY attack any and all squadrons, and attacking squadrons will replace aircraft very slowly or not at all. So the same 5 aircraft kills may now look like that: 2/4* 2/4 3/4 - meaning that attacking squadron will potentially be able to only drop you with 2 planes. RNG in this case is not that bad of an idea. This system will have no effect on squadrons that have only 1 plane each - like British Tier IV carrerier's torpedo planes, if memory serves me right. If it was always attacking the first squadron for example, you would shoot 4 aircraft, and second squadron would become the attacking one, making your efforts useless anyway - now AA will, supposedly, spread the damage across the board.
