  • My wife and I took a trip to Cinnamon Velifushi in April 2023.
    We took a FlyDubai flight from Dammam, Saudi Arabia via Dubai over to Male in the Maldives.
    www.flydubai.com/en/destinati...
    We booked everything separately, which works for us as we believe we can get a great deal - booking early, checking prices, emailing the property etc. - it’s just how we like to do things.
    Even though water villas are available, we chose a Beach Villa. This was a personal choice as we wanted the beach/sand - which isn’t on your doorstep when you book a water villa.
    We chose the Premium All Inclusive (PAI) over the All Inclusive (AI) as it offered not only more choice in respect to alcohol, but in addition there were 2 excursions, mini fridge top-up each day, romantic meal on the beach and a few other enhancements included. Well worth thinking about as if you’re going to be doing these things anyway, you’d be paying in addition to your All-Inclusive price!

    Massive shout out to all the staff on the island. They could not do enough for you.
    Summary of the Cinnamon Velifushi Resport
    This peaceful aquatic paradise is home to a bevy of marine life, including the magnificent nurse shark. Harmless to humans, these unhurried creatures can grow up to 10 feet long, and form an impressive sight as they glide leisurely along the reef. Kids will love these up-close-and-personal experiences with nature at this pristine atoll. With minimal interference from boats and planes, wildlife is more inclined to visit. Even our Over-water villas and suites have a sinuous walkway that, from above, forms a shape reminiscent of a stingray!
    When you’re turning in for the day, retire in one of our 90 remarkably spacious rooms. The sweeping views from each and every chic room at Cinnamon Velifushi Maldives are cleverly complemented by the airy, open, Italian-styled interiors. In our water villas, it’s nothing but you and the open sea! Throughout the hotel, each and every accent echoes the movements and natural tones of the ocean’s depths, so feel free to go with the flow…
    When on vacation, calories don’t count! And that’s good news, because Cinnamon Velifushi Maldives has multiple wining and dining options for its esteemed guests, including a main restaurant, a chic pool bar, and a specialty seafood restaurant. Indulge in the exotic flavours at an all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant featuring local and international cuisine for breakfast, lunch and themed dinners.
    To enjoy a relaxing drink amongst fellow holidaymakers, drop in at one of our three bars, stocked with a full selection of international beverages, including spirits, whisky, brandy, liqueurs, soft drinks, wine and champagne.

    Location
    The most treasured things in life are said to arrive in small packages, and, at 5 hectares, this glittering 5-star private island retreat is no exception. Secreted away in the quiet Vaavu Atoll, Cinnamon Velifushi Maldives is a short seaplane (or speedboat, if you prefer) ride away from Malé, and will hand you all the breathing space from reality that you desire.
    This luxury island resort lies in a strategic position in the Vaavu Atoll, ensuring access to all the best dive sites in the area. Snorkelling or scuba diving at the house reef are highly recommended, particularly our one-of-a-kind ‘dive with sharks’ excursion. There are also other water-bound activities we have lined up for your enjoyment, including a sunset cruise on a local dhoni. Families with younger children are also encouraged to let them take part in the resort’s kids club at this family friendly resort, which includes games at the children’s play area.

    Nice video. What was the total resort accommodation cost? Transfer cost from male ? Was it all inclusive?

    • @AdventureCoupleUK
      @AdventureCoupleUK  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      7 Nights in a Beach Villa was £4,575 (book early and direct on their website). Premium All Inclusive, which is literally that. Mini fridge topped up every day - with beer, spirits, tonics, mixers etc. 2 Excursions - for us Sunset Cruise and Sand Bank excursion. Massage for 2, romantic beach dinner - all included.
      Flights with FlyDubai were £1,200 (for 2, from Dammam, Saudi Arabia)
      Sea Plane return transfers £610 (for 2, from Male)
      Then there were a few incidentals at the resort, shop etc. which is added to the final bill.
      I would say, budget for £1,000 per night the you'll be about right. Expensive, but we'd pay it again and again!

      What was the coral reef like there was it good for diving or just for snorkelling .some islands have house reefs on them..thanks for your reply earlier

    • @AdventureCoupleUK

      @@robertfisher2844 We only did snorkeling, but there were diving trips from the landing jetty - there is a dive school based there, and they go off diving with nurse sharks. However, we got chatting to a couple who said the reefs directly off the island were fairly sparce in colour, although marine life was amazing. The sand bank excursion saw way better colour in the corals and some of the guys saw turtles and rays there.

      Thank you for your feedback on the diving there .do apologise for the late reply. I didn't see the reply .I'm sure that what you see just off the island is good anyway
      I've done a few dive trips before on other islands, and it's been good, but to be honest, that's what you would expect in the maldives.

    Hi Steve, great video (ignore the hater!), thanks. We go there next month and are looking forward to it. We are all-inclusive so assume we don’t have the trips included.
    We are planning to bring our own snorkel equipment but any other top tips you would have to make the holiday perfect? Thanks.

    • @AdventureCoupleUK

      Hi Rob. You've picked a dream destination. Get in contact with the team there and request Premium all Inclusive. They may well see this, but we checked prices and they shifted quite a bit to the point where PAI worked out 'just' over what we had paid, and we booked really early. I kind of complained about booking early and that we committed to the price at the time, but subsequently there seemed to be as good a deals there for PAI much later - so what was the point in securing a room early doors etc - anyway, they said they would include PAI benefits to our package as we had booked way ahead of time. It's worth asking - as it includes 3 excursions - which are really worth it, and a romantic beach dinner. Like I said in the video, we stayed at one of the beach villas, which in our opinion was much better. It wasn't a budget thing for us, as we like the beach - which you don't get in the water villas. Hope you have a great time - if you have any further questions just let me know.

    Going here in November - how many island drop offs before Velifushi on the sea plane?

    • @AdventureCoupleUK
      @AdventureCoupleUK  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There were 2 from the seaport then into Velifushi. Takes around 30-40 mins. Hope you have a great time 👍🏻👍🏻

    Island is nice but the villas seem pretty close together

    • @AdventureCoupleUK
      @AdventureCoupleUK  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They do appear, or may well be closer than other resorts but our experience would suggest that isn't noticeable on the ground. There's foliage between each villa, and when we were there it seemed deserted although we were told they are 90% occupancy throughout the year. It is very well balanced - and as you'll notice from the video there's no evidence of crowding.
