Room is looking great! Love the little lamp from your mom! Look at the plugs and remote systems that allow your computer, printer, lights, electronic board be turned on by a remote as you enter the door. That way you don't have to go all around the room to turn things on and off. They come with multiple plugs in 4,6, or 8 packs with one remote. I plan to order again right at the first of September and can get some paper too.
Great blog! Just a thought: can't your printer go on the bookshelves behind you? A longer cord will be cheaper than a printer stand...Also, I've had a printer under my desk before and it's a pain.
I did try that at first but unfortunately the cord doesn't reach the power outlet. Plus it sticks out considerably and I end up hitting it more. My legs don't actually touch the printer because it's pretty far back.
I saw a new decor idea of using double sided tape to secure matching paper borders to the electronic board to tie it to other bulletin boards in the room. So you can decide if you like the idea when you set up your bulletin board.
Have the kids put the mini anchor charts in their jorunal/notebook. I started doing that in my 2nd grade class and towards the end of the year, the kids would want look up their own and create their own for whatever concept
Also, if you want to use your white board for anchor charts or new uses, I will send you some magnets, clips and holders. If you want headers they sell sets of letters and numbers.

With budget cuts, is your paper allowance the same as before? If you are desperate for printer paper, put a 10 ream case of paper on your list and I will send it ahead of the things I plan to send in early Sept.
We have no paper allowance this year lol. We are extremely budgeting. Some of us even had to pitch in to buy the kids ice cream, 😂. I did ask my parents for 2 reams of paper each so I will see next week if I still need some but I have a good feeling my parents will support!!
The other printer is working perfectly fine! The school just told me today that they will not provide printer ink for us anymore (budget cuts) and we would have to buy our own toner/ink so I wanted to buy another printer for my classroom because it's cheaper to have HP instant ink. I did have another printer but that one does not print double sided. I was going to bring the HP 6000 in the meantime until I got paid in September so I could buy it.
I love that your mama helps you with your career. What a blessing!

I have the plugs you sent me and I plan on using the kasa app to turn them all off at the end of the day!
@@teacher_in_houston Didn't realize they would do that! Yeah!
White board erasers: infant or toddler size socks make great erasers- not too expensive.
Ahhh I love how it’s all turning out!!

I think it's just enough color, maybe move your name and stars above your bookshelf to bring some balance to that front wall
I put my printer on one of those milk crate file holders turned upside down and it works great
Great idea! When I get paid, I will buy one!

I took this inspiration for anchor charts in their binders!

@@teacher_in_houston Wow! Zero paper is extreme.
It's not completely zero but definitely we have to limit our copying.
I oticed a printer on your wish list. Did something happen to the printer I sent you last August,2023?

Okay, thanks for the clarification.
So was there no room for a printer stand?
I forgot to measure!!
