What an amazing show! Rob F'ing Halford! The METAL GOD himself! Thanks so much for this interview. I am a long-time listener (haven't missed a show since 2013) and KISS has been my favorite band since 1975, but Priest is a very close second. I have always considered Priest to be a cut above the rest of the bands in the British Metal Invasion of the late 70s and early 80s and they were basically the soundtrack to my high school years in the early 80s. I listened to Rob's book on audio (which is read by Rob) a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed it. Rob has always been such an eloquent, intelligent, and soft-spoken person. I was really happy to hear him be so open about his Christianity as well. As a born-again Christian myself, it meant a lot to me to hear him be so proud and bold about this faith. Thanks again, guys!
What a great interview!..Rob is such a gentleman and a kind soul...I thoroughly enjoyed this one boys!! My first concert ever was KISS and Judas Priest at the Nassau Coliseum back in August 1979 on the Dynasty Tour...Me and my friends were 13 and my brother was 11 so our MOMS took us to the show,lol..At that time, seeing that show was the biggest thing to happen to me in my life!...I had not heard of Judas Priest at that time but I remember this blonde singer with the high pitched voice and technically they are the first band I ever saw live since they opened the show....I still remember when KISS took the stage...I had a Kodak Ektra 110 camera and I took a bunch of pictures..We had nosebleed seats but I still remember those pictures (lost them somewhere over the years)...My Mom thought the show was too loud but she loved the colorful costumes as well as the light show..I remember me, my friends and my brother were completely drained and our voices were shot because we were, well, shouting out loud,lol...I've seen KISS dozens of times over the years including 3 of the EOTR tour, but that first show will always be near and dear to me...
Great interview, Gents!! I saw Priest with Kiss on the Dynasty tour, so this really brings back great memories for me. Kiss introduced me to Judas Priest back then, and I have been a huge fan ever since. I would see Priest 8 more times in my lifetime since then. Thanks Guys!!
Rob Halford in my opinion is the greatest lead singer of all time. I saw Judas Priest two years ago on their Firepower tour , and it was insane how amazing Rob Halford still is as a lead singer. A Kiss/ Judas Priest coheadling tour would be awesome. I would definitely go to that show in a heartbeat. This was a great interview. Rob is just the coolest. He really is the Metal God.
I have to admit that I've always respected Rob although I was never a big priest fan. The music for the most part when I was growing up just didn't seem to hit me like a ton of bricks...until...I finally saw them live! Priest was touring with black label society and thin lizzy. I'm a huge black label fan so initially I went for them but then priest took the stage and I was like holy shit!!...their music definitely hits like a ton of bricks live and I've since seen them again with deep purple and I've had the best time at both shows. So much respect to priest for still going out and throwing down live for the fans after all these years. Great interview guys.
What a legend. As a person and one hell of a vocalist. His style and melodies defined heavy metal. Priest is definitely part of the metal legends that include Maiden, Motorhead and Sabbath with Dio. So many great albums and songs from the last 50 years too. Live wise, never disappoint either. For Kiss to bring Priest on their tour is classic and just shows how Kiss really supported bands that became legends such as AC DC, RUSH and Maiden. Great interview and amazing questions to Rob from "Metal Mike" !
Bravo!Great show/interview. I rewatched the movie “Spun” unrated recently, ..a quirky but unheralded Underground Classic w/it’s all star cast and many quest spots by many including Debbie Harry, Bill Corgan, and the especially funny, tongue in cheek, Rob Halford.
Rob is a badass! I saw Priest about 15 years ago and it was the loudest show I've ever been to and Rob came out at the end of the show on a motorcycle. It was an incredible experience.
Kind of chuckled to myself when Rob talked about how fun it is deciding what obscure or forgotten songs to put in the set and then suggested that KISS enjoys doing the same.
AWESOME Show Guys!! Three Thumbs Up for all the great questions and especially Mark for asking some cool questions that other people might not have asked. Any Interview I've read of seen with Rob has always had a cool undertone to it; he seems so bright, happy and joyful. PS Tommy; I was at the Armory for that show too and I thought I was going to get my ears blown off because of the size of building; I was way surprised how great it sounded and I didn't even have to wear earplugs!!
Absolutely awesome interview guys and you guys have established yourselves as a passion for rock and heavy metal which is a massive part of my everyday life and I Love you guy's for it!
I saw Priest open for kiss in 79 kiss is my favorite band other than the Beatles and by 14 priest were my next favorite. and he’s just such a humble amazing person!
Great Great interview with the "Metal Gid" himself!!!! I thought when you interviewed Ted Nugent and Ace Frehley, you hit the jackpot....but, Rob "f**king" Halford?????? KA-BOOM!!!!!!💥💥💥💥
I remember when Rob had said he had no idea 🤷♂️ how anybody would not know that he was a gay man obviously 🙄 I was walking around dressed like Glenn in the Village People for Chris’sakes! Sincerely yours truly xoxo 💋 DJP ex PostMortem and Kilslug Boston Massachusetts USA Amerikkka of course 🇨🇳
Whoops so now Rob Halford is the so called God Father of heavy metal is he? LoL!! So who ever your interviewing such as Ozzy,Lemmy Kilmister or Ronnie James Dio & I don’t mean that it’s so much you guys (3 Sides Of The Coin) but don’t you guys ever notice that on a show such as Howard Stern he will say whom ever is on his show such as if he had Ozzy then Ozzy is the God Father for that day!
Howard Stern would say Leslie West is the father, godfather, grandfather of metal. Black Sabbath was Mountain's opening act on their first tour and there's some "KISStory" with Leslie and KISS.

Awesome!! That was my 2nd concert ever, also at Nassau Coliseum. That show changed my life!!
@@allornadaaccordingtojack7601 it changed my life too!!....42 years ago and I can still remember that show vividly!...
That was my 1st show at Ft Wayne Coliseum
My first concert was dynasty. Never cared for priest, but hey weren’t bad. He seems like a nice man. Be kind to everyone, peace.

Spun is a great film!!! A little exaggerated but funny as hell. Especially if you ever lived it !!! lol
Rob is a badass! I saw Priest about 15 years ago and it was the loudest show I've ever been to and Rob came out at the end of the show on a motorcycle. It was an incredible experience.

The seinfeld gag went over his head lol

The Metal God? We're not worthy!!!
The Metal God
I love Parental Guidance!
So basically Richie is to priest what Thayer is to kiss. More or less.
Saw Faulkner with Priest. They got the right man. What a monster.
What a sweet, wonderful, gracious man. I am seriously considering going gay...
Nice guy but JP is just a hilarious parody of themselves. Even funnier is that the joke is on their fans who follow metal with such a degree of levity
Ok hipster.
Mark’s wood disconnected his “ rooter”...
Rob should write a Priest song called The Router...
Genes a seuche but I love everything KISS. Priest is okay.
Saw priest open for kiss then became big priest fan but don’t listen to priest anymore or kiss unless it’s alive or hotter then hell
