Greetings, fellow wanderers! Today, let's explore AEON Mall Bandar Dato Onn in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, part of the AEON mall chain. This particular mall opened its doors in September 2017. As a fun fact, "AEON" translates to "Eternity" in Latin. Originating in Japan, it was founded by Takuya Okada, Kazuchi Futagi, and Jiro Inoue. Initially named Japan United Stores Company (JUSCO) in 1969, it later became AEON Co. Ltd in 1989. In September 2004, the company officially changed to AEON CO. BHD. in Malaysia.
As of 2023, AEON Malls boasts a total of 20,008 stores, with 28 of them located in Malaysia.
