Literally probably the biggest thing in the update he misses, poor guy lol.
Yeah the plug-in was helpful too but this cuts out like 90 seconds of running and don't need to use a stam just to get there or lose that prayer time.
I'm sure there are 50 videos about new route already but seems like an easy good video to make for nohelp
Hey, thanks for the video. Just a bit of feedback, sorry if it's not welcome.
I think you should read these ahead of recording them, so you can actually offer interesting opinions, ideas, and queries, instead of just reading whatever you feel like and offering something that is lesser than the original news update. Apparently there are a lot of people who cbf reading the updates/news and get it through youtube's easier audio format, but this just feels like a very small amount of effort on your part which elevates your content so that it's actually worth checking out, even If I was already aware of the update. Instead as it stands, I got the opinion I should just read the update myself instead of watching your channel, and I only continued watching to see if that changed.
A live reaction has its own benefits, and suits some channels, but you're a news/guide channel aren't you? So the better informed and more reliable your opinions/advice, the better/more useful your channel appears, and presumably, the more successful it becomes. You can still do it one-take and skip the full video editing process, but it seems taking 20 minutes or even an hour to read ahead suits your niche better and adds a tonne of value to your video for practically no effort, and minimal effect on timing/relevance of the video release. I mean, you literally admit around 14:50 that you don't even know what a lot of the things you're talking about are. Well guess what, most of your audience won't either! (unfortunately I do due to leagues/iron) Doesn't that seem to you like a perfect opportunity for your channel's niche? Sure, if it's too complicated, or you research to find it's not relevant, skip it, but some of these things require a 2 minute google, and you're experienced enough that you wouldn't need to google most of it anyway.
For example, you more or less read everything out loud, even the misc/general redundant stuff, but skipped much more significant parts like the Dagganoth Kings agility updates because you felt it was too much? Well, if you want to skip some parts of the update instead of being comprehensive about it, shouldn't you at least have known what you were skipping? Comment section has your back, but a gap like that, for a new viewer like me, makes me think it's not worth using you as my source of game news. Your summary and take at the end was the most valuable part of your video to me, but that's at the very end? If you had pre-read the news, you could be offering that part much earlier and spreading it throughout the video. IMO, Either you read everything outloud, so that players know you haven't skipped details and you provide an audio format for the news (which you nearly did). Or you filter the most relevant information and offer the most interesting parts, adding details like how the updates made certain snowflake accounts more viable, how stalls/gem mining might be the new early level metas. Or you find some mix of those.
IDK. It's your channel, maybe this is what you prefer. But there are plenty of other osrs news channels willing to put in many times the effort, and there seemed a tonne of pretty low effort opportunities for you to prove your channel was worth following, which you didn't. Though I believe I have used one of your guides before, I can't remember if it was the one I ended up using/appreciating, so obviously, this is not a remark on the quality of your guides. Best of luck though and I hope to see you in the future with more subs.
