What you do training your bison are highly complex behaviors. Disclaimers to most people who don't have a clue.. nice! No one realizes that by you doing your daily checks, moving them, directing them that the bison learn all about you so you have earned their trust and respect. But you never lose track of the fact that they are still wild animals capable of anything unexpected.. bravo!

This should speak volumes to those who visit Yellowstone’s Bison. The time you spend with your animals and always personal safety is the going concern. 🤔 Hopefully they may listen to your sage advice.

I noticed Dunbar's eye is close to being healed (No smoke white color in his eye). Dunbar is a very special big boy bull and you do have an honored special relationship with him. Nobody should try to get close to a wild bison, even ones that seemingly have been domesticated somewhat. But I'm excited to see Dunbar's eye is looking much better.

Was in SD back in June and one bull was right on the side of the highway. Yelled at my husband to move it, being on motorcycles and that close was not picture time. Lol
I'm sure the bison have a point system for the tourists that invade their space
Dunbar is such a cutie, even though these Bison know you, caution when dealing with these animals. Thank God for rain and hope you all get more. Hopefully people will take heed about going close to the Bison in the wild, one never knows. Stay safe, cool/warm, and blessings.
So Dunbar has his own man cave. He needs a big screen TV and a nice wet bar to complete it.

Dunbar's eye looks so much better! I will hopefully get to see adult bison, but that puts me in their space and every time you weigh Big Joe it reminds me that if I don't get a selfie with a bison, my life will still be complete! Stay in the vehicle and let the experts work the herd!

At first when I saw the title I was thinking you are crazy. As you work with the Cattle/Bison they get so you can work close to them and not worry. As I saw what you were saying I agree. Animals out and about do not mess or get close to them. Yours are so very different.

Great advice. You see them everyday and feed them. I see you still use caution when around them ! The bison in state parks are very wild and people should stay away from them !!
I always tell people, "dont pet the fluffy cows!"

He’s a big big boy. I’m from Iowa where the corn& hogs & cattle grow big. I know of some who have bison but not many! I love your channel! Keep up your great work!
Thanks for showing Dunbar up close but explaining about safety whilst around the bison. You are taking care of their health and wellbeing at the same time. I noticed lots of flies on him, do you have to spray them to help being bitten, getting infections etc. Plus the aggravation that they cause? I dont recall seeing you do it in the past, but am interested. Take care, stay safe🐂🐂🙏🙋

I have been you to Yellowstone and seeing the Bison up close was incredible unfortunately people think they can go right up to them and take pictures we saw it many times. Watching you is wonderful and thank you for sharing:) God bless:)

I have been to yellostone park so many times,its my favorite park to visit and yes i pay attention to the rules of not getting up close to any wild animal, yes i have sat still in my car when bison take to the roads and have had them come beside my car. We dont move till all are past us.i have seen where tangers stop traffic to let a mama bear and her 3cubs walk across the road ,we stayed in our cars then also, the best area to see the elk in montana is at the missouri breaks reserve in sept.during mateing season ,its amazing .your allowed to park on the dirt road and camp in the rv camp groinds near the river. I saw for 3 yrs i loved lisyening to them buggle.stay safe dusty and marrisa and you like ones too. ❤

So many people in Yellowstone are careless with the animals. They are called tourons and there is a facebook group showing their behavior

When you were that close to him I think he wanted you to check on his eye !!! How is it doing does he need another round of meds ???
Neighbor had a pet beef bull. They got along great until one day he was in the stall with the bull. It went crazy and kill the man. We had beef cows. My husband always stay away from any bull they are more likely to challenge a male. But I was always very careful too always made sure I could get under a fence or behind a gate quickly. The people in Yellowstone aren't just stupid they are harassing the wildlife.😮

My great great grad father was killed my his pet bull on a bad bull day.
I get upset when I see those people who do that they are wild don't get close they are not around strangers don't. Get close to any wild animals but you are around your guys every day but still not safe be careful
