    I really liked the point he made in the opening about how Cardano is differentiated from other POS protocols because Oroboros POSITIVELY incentivizes participants towards system-reenforcing behaviour through its carefully researched inbuilt game theoretics; whereas other protocols typically use slashing and other DISincentives to stay operational. That’s a point I think I’ve overlooked in the past. Quality interview.

    Frederik, thank you for this. I for one have noticed a really uptick in CF's efforts to communicate and market. it says to me that you are listening and realize that there is a gap in communication with the Cardano community and thus the perception of what CF does is lacking. It's clear you are changing that up going forward and hiring marketing people, etc. I truly appreciate your knowledge, experience and hard work. You have restored my faith and confidence -- keep up the good work.

    A “Cardano for Dummies” book would be wonderful! Write it as if you were communicating with a high school kid. And sell it. There’s (at least some) Foundation income right there. The more people that understand the blockchain, the better for the community.

    I do like the vision of Gregaard. It would be great if community projects will be involved more and more, like sundaeswap with the hydra voting.. they should promote community wallets (over yoroi and even Daedalus, as full node is terrible as first impression) for example, or involve a project that is working on property registration with the project in Georgia etc.

    • @LearnCardano
      @LearnCardano  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a careful balance so as to not play favourites with a particular land title solution that is being built or wallet in the community.

    Cardano needs to do more marketing on binance and other cex. That is the hub where all blockchains meet. Maybe also be sponsor of a tournament would pump its popularity like lets say the champions league.
    I understand the idea of the guy talking about forks but he doesnt even know cardano doesnt fork. (Read about hard fork combinator for those interested) Cardano has a solid foundation that no other blockchains can come even close starting from the eUTxO model.
    We need to promote the things cardano can do instead of being all about market price.. we need to switch the point of view. Its not the market price. Its the utility what really matters and cardano really shines when it comes to that.

    • @LearnCardano
      @LearnCardano  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sponsorship where it makes sense for sure. The Foundation sponsoring hackathons or GameFi developer meets makes sense. Remember, they're looking for long-term impact. There are better options than throwing money at a tournament to pump interest for a few months.
      When he is saying fork the chain, he means a literal fork, not an HFC event. It is possible to create a new fork of Cardano and leave the old one but that won't happen. You'd need agreement from all parties, exchanges, SPOs, and everyone.

    • @DashT1000
      @DashT1000 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LearnCardano Makes sense. I'll just add that it's important that the advertising reaches outside of Cardano bubble. That is the whole point.
      Also binance teaches about crypto basics but cardano is not part of any topic. They just stay on ethereum basics.
      That would be a nice bubble to get into. If someone can teach about cardano at least it would enter newcomers radar.

    I would say that perhaps the user interface, for us regular lay retail investors who want to actually use the Ada token, could be much more user friendly. Minting and selling NFTS is not easy for a non techie. Also I would add that seeing very average NFTs selling for 10 million Ada devalues the market for everyone. Caps on NFT pricing recommended. Money is not a joke. Things need to be accessible, easy to use and 100% safe for Cardano to upend the market and blow the naysayers out of the water and become a household word.

    • @LearnCardano
      @LearnCardano  2 ปีที่แล้ว

    A relative of mine invested £20K in Cardano earlier this year. She now has £6k. She is utterly devastated as she invested all she had. She is thoroughly convinced that she will never recover her lost funds and now does not have the money she needs towards a deposit for her dream small house. Very disappointed, especially with the recent FTX crash. So many dreams destroyed and it's the small person who feels it the most.

    • @LearnCardano
      @LearnCardano  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If she bought at the top of the market in any asset, she would be in the same position right now. Whether it was BTC or SOL, all the markets have suffered large drops or up to 90%, and you're right; adding in centralised corrupt failures to the mix from FTX, and it just gets worse and worse.
      There is no easy answer to this. I'm waiting for the next Bitcoin halving event before seeing any real gains again.

      I’m not a financial advisor so I can’t say what she should do.
      I’m in the mindset of earning crypto. Make it easier to work with when you earn it rather than spending fiat currency as you then need to manage profit and loss and tax.

    #Cardano is a dead project. A lot of artificial hype which pumped the price during bull market for developers to dump but no real utility or any use case. Cardano DeFi is dead, NFTs are dead, metaverse is non existent. $ADA is already down 90+%, but it will go another 90% down
