My old friend is a auto wrecker , if you go visit him he’ll put you to work .he has a garbage can full of something that smells terrible , if someone comes along who he wants to be rid of , he lifts the lid and they don’t stick around long , as soon as they leave he puts the lid back on . 👍🇨🇦

Awesome video that story about the weird guy and the 6 wheel car was icing on the cake to a allredy good video... You deff need a place to hide your car so you can lock gate and have a sign that says closed for today to make room see you again tomarow if you coud do that 3 days a week you coud make some room and sell Alot of stuff especially when prices are up higher.

All new filters and fluid 6 months ago. I’ve never driven any loader in sub zero temps that wasn’t jerky for at least the first couple hours. The city and county locally either park their equipment in heated buildings or let it run 24 hours a day when it’s that cold.

You should hire a secretary or office person to do all of the work like figuring out what something is worth. Of course you have to pay wages for that, but if you really want to get the work done, you gotta get someone to talk to customers for you. You should also put up a sign saying "NO chit-chat. I just don't have the time. If you want a price on something get straight to the point or get out of my office!"

    • @DarkVoidIII

You are lucky the foundry takes your aluminium/steel mixed. Here in Canada we had to split loose the aluminium and sell it clean. So all our transmissions for example went through a roller to break them up. Alloy rims could not have tires attached. Makes for a lot more work. Crushed cars had to be striped too, no tires, rads, fuel tanks, batteries, etc....

You must need to have bulk. I took a few hundred pounds to the scrap yard last week. Last time I took a battery (2 yrs ago) I got 5 dollars. This time it was $1.50!!!! 5 cents a pound!! Steel was .06 a pound. There was a old window air conditioner that was super heavy and it brought the most at .10 a pound. Those are not good prices to me...
