Utah, DJ …great job killing the cancer before it required any welding! As a fellow Terminator owner I look forward to your vids, thanks!

Nice job, best thing is to get the rust off, get the primer down, and get some paint on it to protect it, then
later time blend it better to your liking, yeah being a former northern car that is not bad.

Getting the fresh paint to match the faded old paint would be tough to do. I don't have these rust issues but I do have peeling paint on the hood (which doesn't appear to be metallic). I did get an estimate to have the entire hood professionally repainted and the estimate was $1500. So, I spot painted the hood - not pretty though. My GT is garaged and I don't drive it much in the winter especially when we have snow and ice and road salt.

My hood on my mach 1 was professionally painted at about $650 but that was 10 years ago. I did the decals after. I have a video on repainting the front bumper on my sister’s and it turned out pretty good for $60. This is for sure something to stop the rust and not be show quality until one day when I can have the entire car painted

Yeah, it had water go under it, but not in it. There wasn’t any salt so it’s not rusted under it
