Another amazing video Stephen , thats just added to my shopping list lol , have to say its so helpful to people like ourselves who are just started out to have the years and years of knowledge and experience freely given by people who have such a passion for the pigeons themselves let alone the thrill of racing pigeons.
Hahahaha we did say pigeons isn’t a cheap hobby 😂😂 sorry for constantly adding to your shopping list 😂 you’ll get all that stuff at Donnelley’s… you tell him I’m due a discount code there 🤣 it’s a pleasure to help Pete, can be a mind field until you get on your feet and started… even after 45+ years with my dad he’s still learning!!
brilliant video again Steven, you will become unpopular with other fanciers giving all the secrets away🤣🤣, but seriously you are a great guy in trying to help others and I defiantly would have learnt so much if these videos were about when I started racing, looked like you had a terrific team performance again , shame about the wind but as you say it's racing, and another experience they have encountered
Hahahaha… only just small parts merv, there is certainly a lot of small parts to pigeons that are often overlooked than make up the bigger picture…. Love of home and love between pigeon and fancier are definitely one of the biggest parts…… If you don’t mind me asking why you came away from racing? Sounds like your a very knowledgeable person when it comes to pigeons? Thanks mate, it’s all part and parcel pal… every week is so different from the last. Hopefully they keep improving mate 🤞🤞 appreciate your kind comment once again merv 🤝🤝
Brilliant video Steven and again good result and good returns, tail winds are no good for them racing or trapping, long range has it turning north for next week ,hopefully that will give truer racing for everyone. Keep up the good work as everyone seems to be enjoying your very informative videos, good luck for this weekend 🤞
Wind and loft positions certainly helps, we are always hopeful we are on the hunt week in and week out pal. Should steady pigeons up abit and certainly see what working abit when it comes to these races, tbh I like that wee are adding some mileage now! Should sort them out 😂 Appreciate that once again for your comments pal 🤝🤝
Fantastic video again Steven, a real insight with a lot of detail into how you keep your birds clean and in optimal health. Looking forward to more of the same, especially around feeding and training/loft flying. Shouldn't need the breaks checking this weekend as it forcasts a colder North wind....summer, what summer 😂 Keep up the good work, enjoying watching each week.
Hi Andrew thanks once again for your comment pal 👏👏 I’m trying to convince the oul lad to have a sit down with myself to talk 😂 he’s old school haha but maybe at the end of the season we will do abit of a interview and talk about feeding/training etc? I hope your right Andrew 😂 would like to steady these up abit rather than one minute at the lib point and next they are home! 😂😂appreciate the comments kindly my friend 🤝🤝👍
I like the grit mix, I have a special mix. Wow those speeds are crazy fast. We have the fastest bird in the combine in 2009. 2199YPM but your birds smoked it 😂. Awesome video
Yeah pal, if there anything lacking in the corn nutritional wise will be ment by the grit & minerals, yeah scary speeds man the winners of the combine on the coast doing 2385 81mph which is mind blowing! id like a few winds to steady the birds up abit lol! pigeons need ABS breaks these last few weeks! lol🤣🤣
@@ssbrownracingpigeons37 yeah seconds make some difference in results. Thats how close things are in pogeon racing. First day around the house for mine today. I will give them a few days aroind the house before getting them back down the road. Try get a couple races into them just for experience for oldbird racing. Last year everything went lovely, raced 10 races with youngbirds and won 7. Crazy how it can go with youngbirds. Nothing going right this year, just have to laugh at it. Take the good with the bad
@@raymondbirds2392 thats great ray! fingers crossed you get them some racing, certainly set them up on experience side of things, they get a good rattle at them as yearlings!...... yeah i know the feeling... racing pigeons arent as straight forward as we like LOL certainly test our will power hahaha but fingers cross you get some racing, work half a year to get something going and it goes to pot when things dont go as you plan! keep at it ray, youll get there 🤞🤞👍
@@raymondbirds2392 yeah that experience will set them in good stead for next year! im sure them pigeons your breeding will give you the lift since your unable to race! great going by both parties 👏
We were racing the same day as ye on north road Munster fed . I won the fed doin 943 volicity into crazy wind that day lads down or side cleaned out this year 🐦
Jesus that would have been a very tough race that with the wind! Hope you manage to get them all, and to the lads hopefully they work it! 🤞🤞 well done on your win pal 👏👏
Dropped 5 very hard year down or side but we push on that’s racing you only have a lend off them best off luck with the rest off yer year really enjoy yer video’s 🐦🐦🕊️

Strong winds certainly unsettle the birds but trapping still impressive with you stood close by
very true hedley, in the space of 2 hours them pigeon traveled 140 miles lol! probably more... appreciate the comment pal 👍
Not sure Stephen tail winds do the birds any favours they certainly don’t learn anything and tend to go miles further
