I want to start by saying, if you don't believe what I am about to say, try it first. Then tell me it's wrong.
I have been studying and applying ancient teachings and I have found, through many different sources, belief creates reality. When you believe you're the best, the universe will move to create that reality. You control it. If at any point you decide you don't want it, that's fine. The universe will work to accomplish that goal. It is unbiased. It moves to your will. If you want to be a millionaire, believe you already are one. Start acting like it. The universe will move to fit your perception.
I am sure you have read the Bible verse where Jesus says "your faith can move mountains". This is what he is talking about. In His time it would have taken millions of workers years to move a mountain. Today we do it everyday as part of the mining industry. 20 years ago it was impossible to land a rocket vertically, now it happens once a week. Faith you can do something, belief that already have done something, will result in the thing being done. You must have faith that you already are the thing you want. I am. Not I will. I will says "I am not that thing yet". The universe moves to what you are right now.

Everyone has an ego, ego is bad when you start being vile and awful to others and can't handle a loss or criticism and are desperate to do anything to win, however having a proud ego and chasing the desire of success even if it makes you sound delusional is better then being pessimistic and giving up. Be proud and have an ego just remember to stay pure and good to others. Everyone at the top has an ego wether they boast about it or not, it just comes with that territory.
@@Assassin274 Having an ego and chasing desires always leads to misery. It is a path for those who are immature, and don't reflect on the true nature of life and existence. Fulfilling desires is an addiction, just like any drug. There is a reason why extremely wealthy people can never have enough, there is a reason why champion fighters never know when they are too old to change direction in their lives. Because they chase the high of another win. It is the ego coming to haunt them. True fulfillment comes from self improvement not from the desire to be "the best", but simply to experience life. Also don't confuse confidence with ego.
@sammalama I see where you coming from but, success varies from person to person and isn't always about being ''the best''. If someone want's to chase success that in it itself is self improving for them so all depends on context. I say let people do whatever they want as long as it's not hurting anyone or themselves(also depends on context). Everyone has an ego and those who are confident have huge ego's they just adapted to not boasting about it as it's being shammed now, look at history it was just ego's everywhere and rightfully so people are more so just quite about it because its the smarter thing to do. Don't be a hater unless they are genuinely a bad person. Tired of haring that bs about confidence and ego, everyone has it(specially if you're at the top or talented) and if they don't have it at the start they will develop it with success, just how you go about talking and learning. Also men and women tend to show egos in different ways.
@sammalama also depends if someone was born wealthy or got wealthy. Those two things have a drastic effect on someone's life. The person born wealthy I agree will never be satisfied (but who knows really, still a better life than being poor). Those that got wealthy out of being poor I think cherish it way more and learn to live more fulfilling lives
@@Assassin274 I don't think you quite understand what is meant by having an ego. It is usually implied a person with an ego isn't really interested in bettering or enriching anyone other than themselves, they try to fill a void inside of them. It makes you and solely you the focus of all your actions. It is a by product of having limited lower level of awareness.
Martin Luther King Jr wasn't egotistical, but Napoleon Bonaparte was. Do you see the difference? One is an oppressive conqueror the other is a liberator. I do agree that all humans have an ego, but it something that wanes with age and experience, and especially with changing your level of awareness of existence. When you see how everyone is interconnected your ego goes away, and there isn't a "me" anymore.
Humanity needs to work more and more toward that higher level of awareness if we are to survive the coming years.

If you want to be "the best", that's the mentality you have to have. This is not advice for an average person.(Nothing wrong with being 'average' I'm just saying)

It's not a bad thing if you know what they mean. You probably have some middling understanding of "oh well it's okay to be normal but if you want to be the best and can't do it you'll feel bad". Having the mentality of "I'm the best" or "I'm going to be the best" means accepting failure in your attempt. You can't understand victory without failing it doesn't happen but letting failure be the reason you don't do something means you've already lost.
Maybe that's taking it to the extreme. What we can learn from this is that these champions had at that time a mentality to be the best. The average person can also adopt this mentality without the need of burning themselves out. I myself have noticed how a bad mentality backfires with thing that ought to have been really simple and that often leads to regret.
