Geoff and Ray were on fire with their commentary this episode. Both spoke non-stop and were very witty. I wonder how much of it was their excitement for the game, and how much of it was them being AH Vets knowing Lindsay and Matt may not have been as talkative so they had to step up their game.
Speaking of Lindsay and Matt. They were great this episode. Lindsay is a lot more comfortable around the guys on microphone now and it shows. And Matt is starting to come into his own. A few more months and he'll be as great as the rest.
Also, poor Ryan. The dude is always the best player on Team Gents. He carried Geoff (and more so Jack) the whole video. He deserves better. Picture a team of Ray, Michael and Ryan... unstoppable.
I dislike Call of Duty, but have been loving this special series with this episode being easily my favourite so far :)

I was very surprised that both Matt and Geoff spoke so highly of Reach. Usually that game gets so much shit, and Halo 2 is always raised on a pedestal of gold, but Reach is my favorite Halo game of all time. I love Halo 2 and 3 so much, but Reach just tops them all. I spent so much time in that game, in Multiplayer, in Forge, in Custom Games... it literally feels like half my life was spent on that game, although it only came out in 2010.
The Christmas of 2010 was where I got my first xbox, and the first game I got was Halo Reach, reason being is that I'd spent hours upon hours forging in Halo 3 and Halo reach with friends, and that's all I wanted to do in that game. Little did I know, I would literally become addicted to Living Dead.
Just everything about Reach is awesome: the medals, the spartan customization, theater mode, the story line (a nice break from the Master Chief) and the super-addictive multiplayer accompanied by the best forge in any Halo to date. And not to mention how many memorable Halo Machinimas were created from Halo Reach, as well as the famous Fails of the Weak series which aired 13 days after the release of the game.
Definitely a game not to miss.
Kind of a weird thing to put on a call of duty video, but oh well.

Eh, I was never into Halo or CoD I'm not in shooters like at all, but I'm decent at them I guess, I liked Reach's firefight and actually found Reach the most enjoyable Halo I've played and I've played them all. The only thing I didn't like about reach was that there was no damn run button.
I agree. It seems like everyone treats Reach as the one "special child" of the Halo series, but I think Reach is the best Halo to date

They actually haven't yet. Ray will sometimes give himself a handicap (like only knives, or playing at sensitivity 20, etc.) but there's never been an All vs Ray match.
That would actually be easier for Ray than anyone else. He would have 5 targets when everyone else would only have 1, and since he knows maps like the back of his hand, it'd be a bloodbath. I'd still love to see it, though!

Obviously I'd prefer Gavin or Michael over Matt. But at least Matt has a sense of humor about it. Can't really hate on him.
Still, it'll start to bug me if this becomes the norm where the 'standard 6' AH crew are rarely together, and more and more just have one of the B-team put in their place. Once in a while is ok, but don't make it a significant part of the LPs.
Michael and Gavin are off playing space marines so there will either be old videos or Matt/Lindsay/Kdin/Jeremy up 'till February.
I'd say it's a safe bet they filmed a ton of stuff to cover that period of time. Especially the signature series like Minecraft and GTA.
Michael & Gavin are shooting Lazer Team, so it will become a part of the norm.

COD 4. The only COD game I've enjoyed enough to buy twice. When I built my PC like probably 6 years after this game came out, I made sure I bought this game. This game is pretty solid, definitely the best COD.
Honestly though, I don't get how everyone hates Lindsay. She's fuckin hilarious.

One of my favorite AH conversations, for reasons I can't explain.
I'm lovin' this concept and would very much like to see them roll through other series like this as well. Halo would be quite meaningful to them, but also branching out would be cool. Perhaps an Uncharted Let's Play? Maybe? If not, then maybe something like Gears of War or some other series they could hop into. Assassin's Creed's kind of already been done. Same with Splinter Cell, kind of. Maybe a cross between this and ReMix? Like a run through of Mario or Contras or Silent Hill? Who knows? but whatever they come up with is bound to be excellent.
Do a week with a theme. eg Stealthy/ninja type week = assassin's creed series + some splinter cell. Halloween = zombies week and so on.

Fuck everyone else, I thought this was a really great lets play, especially that last game, with ryan and geoff banter, and ryan's martydom, I don't watch a lot of lets plays twice, but this is definitely one that I will watch again
I mean you can tell how much fun they're having from all they're jokes, and laughing, and explicitly stating how they're having fun. I know it's the cool thing to do to absolutely hate COD, but one thing you have to realize, it may not have perfect mechanics, and balance, and all that stuff, but it can be really fucking fun, and that's what video games are all about in the end right?
Yeah man I totally agree with you. Only thing that annoyed me was when Jack was telling Geoff that he wished they had someone better on the team when Ryan was actually doing really well on their team and even better relative to the other team's scores. Not sure what that was all about, but yeah; I enjoyed it too. Lindsay and Matt actually worked really well in this video I thought.

Wow, Ryan is actually providing Ray with fierce competition. He was even more than a match at the end with his surge of salty bloodlust. He's really the only person in AH that can balance Ray on teams, I'm glad the teams are how they are.

Man this is probably my favorite video that's come out from these guys in a long while. Not only was it a solid game choice, they also had a good selection of people to play and without all the obnoxious screaming I was actually able to hear people talk and have fun. Man it's almost like watching classic Achievement Hunter, and I want more. Plus Ray straight up quoting Game Grumps was a nice plus.
My computer must be broken... The screen wouldn't load for watching this in HD but it loaded instantly for 420p then goes black when I try going back to 720p or 1080p :/
No that's just YT's new 60fps playback. Most browsers are having issues. It won't allow HD playback and a lot of people can't even go fullscreen. Chrome seems to be the most compatible, but people are reporting issues on even that. There should be a load of updates either from all the browsers or from YT themselves soon.

It's actually not an issue with spec. Most browsers are having compatibility issues. They haven't made the 60fps system work on anything except Chrome. And even Chrome has been having some issues for some users. The only other thing you need, apart from a compatible browser, is a decent internet speed.

No problem. I'm trying to let people know so they don't go "fixing" their perfectly fine computer. Chrome, from a technical standpoint, should work, given YT and Chrome are owned and maintained by the same people. But many users are still reporting issues on there as well, which just shows you something is wrong with the 60fps system.

I'm so happy to see such a varied Let's Play! Although I love the main cast, I'm glad that the new AH crew is getting in the videos. Lindsay's already been in a lot before, but it's nice for Matt to also be in this one!
Jack and Geoff trying to stab each other while on the same team is the perfect reflection of their ages and how it makes them play video games. Imagine two senior citizens playing COD; I'm sure we would see similar results xD

If there is one game that I would love to have remastered onto the New consoles; it would have to be this one. Best Call of Duty so far. Took the most skill to be good at it, and it felt like properly developed game even though it was a product of a failed attempt at something else.
Would not complain if they remastered CoDs 4 up to BO2 for the new consoles. Only problem being that because it's Activision, they wouldn't do a Halo and put them all on one disc, they'd charge for them separately at full price.

Ryan Carroll What I'm saying though is that Halo:MCC costs £40 for four games that all cost the top price at the time they came out. If CoD games were re-mastered, instead of charging say £50/£60 for five of them on one disc, they'd charge £50/£60 per individual remastered game.

I like the change of things this week. The 'not scheduled' videos everyday have made this week my favourite in a quite while from AH.
This game is a classic, not only it being my first cod when I purchased my 360 but for spawning whole new careers from this game alone. All because of this game I went onto youtube and found people like Hutch and Seananners and eventually Achievement hunters to figure out how to improve my gameplay, watch other people amazing gameplay and how to earn the Mile High Achievement, as Geoff mentioned. Watching this video is making me itch to play this once again. Great memories of playing countless of hours with my buddies in high school with such a simplistic and satisfying multiplayer.

the last 2 matches were fantastic. You can tell Ray was having alot of fun which was nice to see, and the banter between the gents were hysterical. expecially the Ryan and Geoff banter about Ryan killing. awesome upload.

On a side note, I actually really like Matt and Jeremy. Sometimes it's nice to have break from Gavin as he can get really annoying after a while. Don't hate on something just because it's different.
I've resorted to using Chrome for TH-cam, because it's the only browser Google bothers to make compatible with TH-cam
Diablo3898 I use Chrome, my frame rate still seems to die now when I try to watch in HD. Before 60fps I could watch 1080p in full screen no problem.
Browncoat Allywang That sucks, same thing was happening to me in Firefox, but watching in Chrome has (so far) fixed the problem. They should have a 30fps option, not only because of the amount of problems 60fps has right now, but because a lot of peoples networks wont be able to handle it, especially since TH-cam doesn't allow you to buffer ahead anymore

I personally think Halo 3 had the best multiplayer of the bunch besides 2.

I think 3 took what 2 had and slightly improved it, like what you expect from a sequel.
I also liked 4, not the best but certainly still a great game.
I like 4, not my favorite by any means but I still liked it.
The biggest thing that bothered me about 4 was that the Multiplayer felt too...easy. Especially with the Ordinance Drops. That really bothered me. The maps were good, the campaign was interesting and goes into detail on the Forerunners, which made me pick up the books again.
It just couldn't keep me invested. Also no Blood Gulch.

The cool thing about this lets play is that Ray gets progressively more active and excited as the video goes on. Fun to watch.

this lets play was really refreshing, instead of seeing rage from michael, i got to see it from ryan and jack, lindsay was very cheeky and funny with her commentary even though she had no idea what she was doing for game play LOL but I could careless. ray was actually happy to play a game and when an achievement hunter is happy, im happy. overall great lets play, lets see more of these in the future. I had CoD 3 for a week. Let me tell you something. That game was a piece of shit compared to the 2 before it. The map constantly broke in Single and Multi player. I got on a motorcycle and was clipped straight through the floor.

Ryan was definitely the star in the second half of the video, especially the Capture and getting on Geoff and Jack about how he actually did matter in it. And fucking Ray's laughter when he there that grenade and killed Jack was priceless. This actually turned out to be one of my favourite recent episodes.

The funny thing is, that's usually an argument the other way around in cod. The guys who get more kills say the people who do the objective work are useless

I've never played CoD 4's campaign, but my favourite CoD campaign was Big Red One. But then again, I'm super interested in World War II CoDs.
CoD 4's campaign was my favorite after Big Red One and CoD 3. After that, everything else sucked. Black Ops and Black Ops 2 has arguably a very good campaign to it

I never played any of the Modern Warfare games because I didn't like the setting.

question..anyone else having problems with the video loading really slowly...i testest my speed its at its normal 30mb but the video stops to buffer every 5 seconds on 360p
Probably something to do with TH-cam now playing at 60fps. Causing issues with a lot of people. Need a computer and internet that will support it, plus it depends on which browser you are using. Chrome is the only one that supports it fully. Firefox doesn't allow it AT ALL.

Don't get me wrong guys my original reply wasn't intended to put down anyone's set up. Even basic, casual set-ups with half decent internet should handle YT's 60fps system. It's just a compatibility issue because it's brand new and has only been made to work on whatever specific set-up it was originally tested on. Blame either YT or every other make of browser for not running it properly. I imagine there will be a whole string of updates very soon, from both YT as well as other browsers.

Ryan really is the only one that can give Ray a run for his money in these shooters. But the people he has to carry man I feel sorry for him. Well Geoff is a solid but Jack dude you gotta play more shooters and get familiar with em. Lol, Jack thinks that everyone loves Halo 4's multiplayer. I can't be in the minority saying that I really didn't care for 4's multiplayer at all. Felt too simplified and dumbed down compared to past games in the series. Halo 3 will forever take my top spot as far as fun, competitive shooters go.

Tmark, I have only played halo 4's multiplayer extensively. I played a little of 3, but didn't see much of a difference. Don't get me wrong, 3 is infinitely better than halo 4 on campaign alone, but what mechanics did I miss that made 3 better than 4?

You know I was really looking foward on watching this let's play, but then I saw Lindsay and Matt's names in the intro. Guys this may sound mean but majority (or half I should say) of us are more accustomed with the "actual" crew (you know Geoff,Jack,Ryan,Ray,Gavin, and Micheal). Lindsay, Matt, Jeremy, Kdin, and who ever else beside the crew that were in a Let's play(s) are either annoying, or just not funny/interesting. I'm happy to see the entire crew be in a Let's Play because it make me laugh, when I see any other person in the let's play that replaces one of them, I only laugh a couple than alot. I'm only typing this so you, the person who's reading this, will understand my perspective and hopefully others as well.

I'm starting to enjoy Tuesday-Thursday Let's Plays a lot more than Friday-Monday Let's Plays. The crew seems to have so much more fun, not to mention higher spirits, and Ray makes awesome jokes.

This is the only let's play channel I watch, so it's really disappointing to me that they're slowing putting in these guys. Some people won't care, but I have a pretty specific taste since I only really like the old crew, They're not bad, they just aren't really compatible with the rest of the group.

They are all in Achievement Hunter, it was bound to happen. I think that they fit in well, I love the old crew, but the new guys are a good addition. The only reason they are in this Let's Play is probably due to the fact that Michael and Gavin are filming Lazer Team. It will probably be back to normal after production ends.

Yoke Colon Countdown wasn't set to be a specific cast, it came down to whomever is in the office when its time to film. As for Let's Build, as much as I miss the hypotheticals, everyone can see that Gavin and Geoff hated them, I think that the Let's Build's are the best place for them, they are the build team after all. There is no doubt that they will have Let's plays during the week, It is difficult to churn out content 5 days a week with only 6 guys. That's why everything is pre-recorded now

While I think BlOps may be my favorite single player, overall I have to say CoD4 is my favorite CoD. It has a great campaign and the best multiplayer of any CoD I played. No bullshit attachments, no unnecessary killstreaks, no bullshit noob tubing across the map. Just straight forward and fun gameplay where you actually had to rely on skill to do well. It was also the first game I got when I got a 360 and was the first game that I played online. It was what got me started with online multiplayer. I spent so much time playing it. Even when WaW came out, I still played CoD4. So many great memories. I will never forget how I jumped and knifed the air for fun and a random guy happened to fall in front of me at the exact moment I swung the knife. It's a shame that this fantastic game got hacked out the ass and is virtually unplayable now. I really miss playing it. R.I.P. CoD4. Never forget.
Can someonw give me a valid, reasonable reason why Roosterteeth's audience are such butthurt people? I'v been scrolling the comments for a while and the only thing I see is "Ugh, Lindsay and Matt, I hate them!" Some say they don't find them amusing which is okay, but the fact that the intro says who is in the video gives you no reason to hang around and complain. You have literally no obligation to stay and watch the video. If you don't like Lindsay or Matt in vids, then simply don't watch the vid if it's that big a handicap to your enjoyment of the rest of the crew. I for one really like Lindsay and Matt, I think they're both funny and seem like nice people. So all of you haters, if they really bother you in a video, just click away from the video. CoD4 is legend among the FPS genre. The start of a great thing and a horrible... horrible thing at the same time.(Referring to the kids who scream on Xbox live while shouting racial slurs.) It's archaic compared to the rest of today's CoDs but the game's control and play are still damn good.
MW2 improved on the formula immensely BUT added in A LOT of ways to get killed easily. I.E: Every goddamn noob-tube and Commando lunge I've ever died to.
People dislike MW3 but the only thing I hated was the defensive package streak (I always forget the damn name of those three streak sets.) whatever. Honest to god I had no problem with the rest of the multiplayer.

The snipers made me stop at MW3. I never had a problem with the screaming kids cuz everyone got muted anyway.
I liked 4 because it found a good balance of your kills between your weapon kills and your killstreak kills.
Everything after that had the game do the work for you. You only had to get 1 killstreak, call it in, pile up killstreaks, and sit in a corner while you call everyone faggots.
Also, it's a great game to call all these BlOps and MW3 kids who think they can quickscope out on.
