These games remain in a gray area what they do is not illegal but is often misleading. This is why EU are trying make law that requires clear and precise communication by companies and without implicit acceptance one exemple of that is RGPD laws my biggest nightmare.

Thank you for making this video, I've only been playing since February and I'm a mid-spender, the odds on some of the events always seemed a bit wonky but you always hope that you're going to get lucky. I think it does go back to the gambling aspect and you kind of have to think of it that way. Only spend the amount that you're going to be okay with losing and be okay with walking away even if you don't get the items that you want.

Lilith strategy goes like this: pay a mountain and get a sausage in return.
Said this countless times on the last 3 years, some rewards are near to ridiculous, daily gold chest basically only gives you epics, i do have 1511 days played, active everyday, julius Cesar still misses 3 levels to expertise, Mehmed 4 levels, this is the result of gold chest probility to offer gold commanders.
The wheel can clean you 50k gems for 30 or 36 heads in the best luck. Remember a commander requires 690 gold heads to expertise, commanders are constantly coming out, the equipment, legendary takes ages to build, materials you need tons, so if you pay a mountain of dollars you may get materials for 2 pieces, but you also need to pay a mountain to get 30 specific blueprints, and if you wanna refine lilith sucks more money and also gold.......and so on...and so on....then you go to KVK christal tech is hundreds of dollars to max in time to be useful, of course you need to max siege just for the fun of spending money......and people playing for more than 4 years have no gift or attention from lilith. Of course this is a business, but any business must pay attention to their older and faithful clients.
Lilith as I see it, only cares about money, and finding ways to get more and more money from clients, and gives ridiculous rewards in return, unless you spend like baba tc ataturk and others alike, this game will always be kind of frustating when you go to war with 1B rss of each and do 5 fights on kvk with T5 and you get empty of resources gathered during 5 months, so lilith solution is to buy 300 dollar daily bundles of "Bumper harvest".
This is the harsh reality for such a good game, that turned into a gold mine .......for lilith.
I forgot about this lawsuit!! There is a specific reason why I found out about it. I raged on a final day of Strategic Reserves event that my noob azz decided to "try hard" for. Hit a runner's wall in the drops. Not a trickle, a hard stop that was so bad, I "picked up a camera," and started recording. That was November 2020 and I figured that someone else HAD to see this too and sure enough, I found this filed in Cali. We were nine months into the pandemic, so I knew this was going to probably stall a bit. I wasn't a big spender; however, I did allow myself Treasure of the King on the daily for the AP bottles. My pattern recognition saw the ebb and flow of the various "drops" for that Strategic Reserves event but as I got deeper into the rabbit hole, the logical brain said, "Wait. Hold the eff up something's not right here, only mail coming through is your battle reports, no drops." Another thing I noticed, there was an update where a long pause was inserted when you add AP, stalling the green bar visual registering your button press leading you think it was a no reg and you spam the button again. Little nickel and dime things like that.

But honestly everything does seems like has nerfed reward which is quite visible.. the drop rates seems to have reduced significantly. If you're an old player you can easily sense it!
I remember opening 100 gold keys at a time, and getting about 3-4 legendary commanders plus heads. Now I open 500+ and I'm lucky to get 3 commanders 😂
when the values of the items on a wheel are so different, you should be able to assume that 8 heads are not the same value as some food
Lawyer and 3 year ROK addict here: 1st Claim seems strong to me, I'm very surprised it was dismissed at the summary judgment stage. 2nd one definitely makes sense that it was defeated at the SJ stage, 3rd is probably legally understandable as Terms of Service can be found, and if you're playing a game you agree to TOS.
Definitely think a finder of fact (aka "reasonable minds" ) might differ in analysis than Lillith's bizarro contention there that we should have known there wasn't a 1 in 12 chance on each.
I would imagine that the difference between WoF and the ones they got rid of (card king and infinityland) were that it was even less plausible to defend themselves in card king. If you are playing a game of Memory with 20 cards or whatever that was, there would be immutable laws of math that would determine the odds there, and Lilith was not complying with the maths.
Anyway,, glad I found your page, I'm always a bit sus of Chisgule since he is sponsored, but also can't do non-native speakers for what is usually kinda dry technical discussion. I'll definitely check some more out!

I've played Rok for around two years and I have often thought it was crazy the amount of money people are spending on the game..people get power hungry and carried away with spending before you know it you have dropped a grand..

Card was impossible to get a sculpture match on the first 2 and was impossible to find the 2 before the 1. Thats not very random ....

I think it’s pretty sketchy that a player such as Nephisto can have at least 3 or 4 different people sharing that account… This provides that account with a huge advantage over single player accounts… Chusgule even putted this on several of his videos…
Almost impossible to sue Lilith there terms of service says any legal action must be taken in the country of origin good luck suing them in China

I remember having 20k gems to use for the wheel of fortune and received easy 9 heads for about 3k-5k and I couldn't get the last head and lost all the remaining gems. I don't know if I don't have good luck or something. Gathering gems isn't easy but I got it before the event ended
I felt so cheated when i bought basic Minamoto pack that unlocks him as a new player. Game since first minutes present and let you believe that when you have a hero unlocked, then all you need to do is to be patient enough and use UNIVERSAL heads to max-out hero skills. What was my disapointed when I bough Minamoto unlock, just to find out that i will never max it out without heavy spending :(

We all know that if the visual view on the wheel was anatomically correct it would be instantly obvious what your real odds are.
I'm not a fan of the odds you get in any RoK games, but I do agree with this ruling. I mean, they should've realized the odds were not what they assumed way before spending so much money. You are right, it's all about gambling but that never comes with fair/good odds. Otherwise all casinos would go bankrupt fast.
I'd assume that any electronic gambling or game in general is weighted in the favor of the house. I thought that anyone spinning the wheel would assume that you don't have a 1/12 chance of getting 8 sculps. I'm glad card king is gone too I assume it was as rigged. Really an interesting video. How about the way the wheel inconsistently turns as well. It clearly moves in a way that shows it's rigged. A spinning wheel should be smooth in rotation. Not jerky and speed decreasing and increasing before coming to a full stop.
i would like to see lilith represent the actual % of winnings on their events.. and this rule should go across the board for every game

I have been playing consecutively 986 days and have a total of six cities that I maintain (in four different alliances, I run two of them in 1638). I have spent thousands of dollars in that time.
Unfortunately, once you click that button that says I agree .. whatever changes, updates, downgrades, etc. you’re kind of stuck with. I don’t expect the game company to be giving it all.
I would not consider myself well I only make purchases when I feel I need them (yeah I have garrisons on all my VIP tens… but I need them too) and many other games especially with micro transaction crap.. have the same crappy culture… it’s unavoidable.
So what does one do when your invested time and money wise into a game like this?
You kinda don’t wanna throw away years of work .. 00s of purchases, millions of dead troops.. so some of us login religiously just to keep things maintained

Every song will have an ending. It depends how long it lasts. I have played online games for a while. Even if you don't want to quit. Everyone will move on to newer pastures. Online games are not a game without people. I learned my lesson from the previous game. That's why I'm f2p over 800 days.
BTW card king is still in the game, i get it like every other month. its primarily an event for kingdoms before SOC which is why most people no longer see it.

I've played even worse strategy games like this one.
The last game I left of him was War Eternal, that miserable game, buggy and full of spenders. Whatever they were drinking was with money and when there were events *collects gold* , all the spenders were fighting on a fucked mine, Strong players also attacked you during the kvk and other things.
This game is correct, you get gems for free from kvk, you attack barbarians for it, etc. It's easy to give to the wheel if you tighten enough.
Card King and to me it seems silly, better launch f2p events if that's how the game was designed from the beginning and reduce the packages and have a little more rewards.
My personal guess is that Rise of kingdoms is the best game for f2p.
Basically litith plants a sign on the ground and a player goes close to read the sign and Lilith blows the player up with a detonated bomb and they defend themselves by saying it was the players fault for assuming there was no bomb there. Lmfao wtf
that holiday event wheel uses one of the lines as a % ... this is interesting... to be honest.. if it wasnt for lillith playing me like a fiddle every event.. i started clicking the little i icon in every game to check for the percentages... fun fact: a lot of the best items are less than 1% of winning... like.. wtf????
Mostly all events in games are gambling like this spin wheel, dice game etc. There should be a fixed price so that everyone knows they will get what they are spending for.

The first ROK video I've watched fully for a while. Coming into this game as a noob I can understand why they would make that logical conclusion about WOF. Having played the game for as long as you have I definitely expect that the odds of winning the better prizes is much lower than the rest. You only have to look at gold chest percentages for commanders to see how their percentages work. It's something I'm uncomfortable with but not surprised when it comes to Lilith morales though
8:52 in this part you are wrong it’s obviuos that 8 commander sculpture and 500 wood have not same probability to come out, infact the court agreed
Your problem with the analysis of the lawsuit and Lilith’s statement is that it doesn’t take into account the most important part of a class action lawsuit - burden of proof. That is on the plaintiff to prove by a preponderance of evidence (meaning more likely true than not.) Lilith is basically saying ‘prove it’ - and since there were no explicit instructions provided regarding odds, they’re saying you won’t be able to prove it - and any conclusion you drew in the absence of that information is your own fault.
I got a Card King event just a week ago, I dont know what you’re on about with that statement that it’s not in the game anymore.
So Tavern, Formation, Esmeralda and some other Events have % chances of optaining certain items. Why would it be different for any other Event? After all Lillith wants to make money and that's the best way of doing it.
You can also file a lawsuit based on fact they misinformed about some of commander skills ,like that illegal what you are saying when buying or investment doesn't comes true then on grounds it's illegal practices

Sorry to tell the plaintiffs and judge/jury but, On a true wheel spin games you could spin the wheel an infinite amount of times and NEVER hit the desired space! Because you have an equal chance to land on any space PER SPIN! You will NOT hit every space within 12 spins on a 12 panel wheel! PERIOD! AND if I was Lilith I would counter sue for DEFIMATION!

Honestly the lawsuit was laughable. With about half an hour reading ToS most of the complaints fall apart quite rapidly, and all that is left is the question of event odds, which they would never be able to prove effectively, and the fact that the odds are in fact listed makes it completely legal.

The wheel is same odds each spin and they added those odds to it back in 2020 they weren't originally there. The other game modes they can't display finite odds. Card king is based on your selection and personal performance and garden of America infinity has compounding odds in flux based on your position on the board at any given time. I'd imagine they removed the 2 because they couldn't display fixed odds and added the odds to the wheel to cover their asses in expectation of life sing this case. I can't believe they won this because rigged carnival wheel games are illegal and this is essentially a weighted carnival wheel.

Lilith's AFK Arena player here. I usually stand with the weaker party but I'm going to have to side with Lilith here. It's a digital wheel... That it will not follow the laws of physics should have been easy to figure out. Also: the probabilities are in the information (i) page. I see no reason to even have this discussion. Their were great points made, it’s obvious the players were on to something hence why it took so long and it was probably due to money and time that Lilith won. No body is putting a gun to our heads to spend money but when you spend hundreds and get basically nothing good that’s bs instead of treats the players like sheep that only produce money for you maybe try building the community so it lasts longer then the developers… idk just a thought but it’s very clear to see the fan base is not happy being one who’s spent money on the game I’d like to feel the gratitude and less like I’m being taken advantage of without us this game would be gone and they would need new jobs lol
