Me and Uki are literally living the same life. When I was in KIDERGARTEN, people wanted to fight sooo bad. I literally learned all of the pressure points and fighting techniques before I was 8 years old😭😭. It's better now since everyone is older but people still fight.

I know what kyo's talking about. Back in the day, us weebs would be too afraid to openly share our love for anime. Especially with mainstream shows at the time normies would consider cringe. I struggled with learning disability and had poor speaking/social skills, had no influential skills at all so I was always alone. Thankfully a community formed to give us a place to belong for years, and it grew strong from there. Toxic or not, it was a place to belong.
Ren’s “did u draw that” story just reignited a core memory I had totally forgotten about lmao Back when I was in like first or second grade I got really close with this one classmate. Let’s call her Anna. We were like 8 when this happened, mind u Before I tell my little tale, here’s a bit of context: Idk if they still do it, but back then during preschool and primary (middle?) school we had a “Library class” (that’s literally what it was called in our schedules, “Biblioteca”) once every two weeks or so. Basically the school’s librarian would either take us to the library or bring books over to our class, and then we’d… do something. Tbh I barely remember what those classes were like. I do know for a fact it was one of my favorite subjects tho. I was quite the bookworm and I LOVED the librarian to bits. She was always super sweet and patient with my little undiagnosed autistic ass, which I genuinely appreciate to this day Anyway, point is, we were in this class, and the teacher had asked us to draw something. No clue what it was, on,y thing I recall is it had to do with a book and mythical creatures. I remember clear as day that I had drawn a phoenix. Looking back on the mental image I have of said phoenix, it looked more like a swan, but eh, details Man, I was _proud_ of how that phoenix had come out. I kinda managed to make it look like it was spinning on itself while flying upwards and I genuinely believed that was the sickest shit I had drawn in my entire life (then again, bear in mind I was like… 8) So I went, and showed my lil phoenix to Anna. She asked what it was. I told her it was a phoenix. (If memory serves) she then let out a fake ass laugh and went something like “You’re proud of _that?_ Ha! But it’s drawn so badly, you’ll be such a bad artist if you think that’s good!” I was fucking *devastated.* I most certainly cried, but I don’t remember what happened after that Timeskip to now, I’m studying graphic design at a vocational school and I find that anecdote hilariously ridiculous lol
It seems like you dont mind anymore, but if it helps Anna was 100% jealous that your drawing was good. When I was 8 anything that wasn't a stick figure was considered the pinnacle of art. To explain how I came to that conclusion tho, it seems like you were into art and it was a pretty big hobby for you, esp considering you're studying it in higher education, so you probably connected with her over art right? So she must have been jealous that you were better at art than her and so she lashed out and attacked you over her insecurities.

I hated my gym teacher to the point of wanting to physically harm him sometimes when I was in school I had really bad asthma and yet my gym teacher expected me to do the same as everyone else and the school didn't even allow me to carry my inhaler on me I had to go to the nurses office if I needed it while being forced by the gym teacher to need my inhaler and gym teacher didn't give a crap about me being targeted and harmed during gym like I needed glasses yet during gym class the bullies would aim exclusively at my face and when running around the track during some seasons would throw pinecones really hard at the back of my head or trip me on purpose right in the gym teachers sight he didn't give a damn neither did the school when I would report it man and things like schools not handling it cause school shooting and technically it's the school's fault when a school doesn't give a shit and basically tell the student to do something about it cause they won't even acknowledge it there kinda indirectly giving very bad advice and permission indirectly to fight back snapping the last piece of rationality of the cornered kid schools suck worst I ever did was one day during end of pe the dodge balls where being put up and as the last few where being put in a bin the leader of the bullies grabs one and throws it at the back of my head hard while walking out of the gym at that moment I just snapped and lost all reason and had like a adrenaline spike and I rushed at the bullie leader who was fat grab his shirt pull it up it covered his head and block his arms and just started whaling on him and after they lessened the bullying but it was already almost the graduation of that school so it didn't really matter

I get you. People in general like treating others like shit for some reason. My Middle School exoerience was like try not to die. I literally got up on a window and wanted to yeet myself thrice. But it’s okay now, really. I realised they were just kids sadder and more mistreated at home than me. Having been through all of this and getting out alive, I now understand the importance of manifesting compassion and being gentle towards everything in order to mantain the balance and welfare.
I was so shy as a kid that I'd just let people bully me, which coincidentally made them less interested in me because I never gave them the reactions they wanted, lol.
It never worked for me. People would always try to get a reaction out of me and try to make me talk or say something to them and it just worse. I remember some girls cut up my glue and smudged it all around my pencil case, broke my pencils, tore my pencil pouch. I cried so much that day.
When Uki said about his experience, it reminded me of mine. The school that I am currently going to was known for fighting, and when I mean fighting, I mean battle / war. The fightings can go as far as beating the opponent up until there was blood everywhere on them. There was also a huge incident a few years ago that made my school famous for this.

Because of that, it was so hard to find a school that still had a place for me to go to. And I literally ended up with this school, even if I was aware of the fightings. Well, at least I don't have to go there anymore. I finished Year 11 already and I'm going to college this September.

Hehe i remember how in middle school we had like a fight club on a carpet when it was break time and the boys would be fighting each other in rounds(it was always 1v1s) so i joined them for a bit but after a while (idk a few months) they became too strong for me to handle and since i could sense i wouldn't be able to win anymore i lost interest in participating.. But damn i can't imagine everyone just fighting each other all the time without like rules or anything poor uki.
A lot of the time I wish I were a few years younger, because I grew up like right during but just a little too far ahead of my area's transition from anime being a weirdo thing to a way more well known and normal thing, so by time I was in college it was way easier to find anime fans, but that's also when I dropped out of college because of massive burnout. I feel like if I'd grown up feeling more normal and comfortable with my peers, I'd also have been less likely to burn out.

For Ren, I literally got the same, some people even took my drawings, well thank God, the teachers saw it and told me to show them and they liked it and gave it back to me, they even let me draw during class haha, they're awesome I love them!! My god my school career was like a mix of kyo and ukis. When I was at school ppl beat me up until I learned to fight back but I was not at school a ton from highschool on because of illness.
I was bullied too in elementary and most of high school; I used to ask my mom if I could stay home and she would let me. Because of that I got into reading and creating my own worlds and characters; some way to escape those feelings and how people treated me. I still have self esteem issues; I wonder sometimes if I'll ever be over it because it comes and go.
... After hearing this I'm ever glad that the elementary school I transferred DO their job when it comes to bullying... (My family was moving to another place and not because of bullying) And most students if not, all of the students avoid this. Hugs for those who experienced more worst than me tho

I really wish I could relate to this kind of stuff, because the only advice I can give is my standard advice and affirmations, I can't get to the deeper level's and I can't show them that they're heard and understood. It hurts my heart to know that people I care about deal and have dealt with this stuff yet I can't even imagine what they're going through. The part that possibly hurts me the most though is the fact that I could be considered the bully at times, and that I constantly have to be careful to make sure I don't hurt people without even knowing it. The idea of saying something that invalidates or insults my friends and having no idea is _horrifying._ But I really hope that everybody who has dealt with and is dealing with bullying knows how much they are cared about, and if they have no hope, they need to know that in the future there is someone who cares about them, in the past there was someone who cared about them. And that the only person who knows their true self is themselves, nobody who tells you those horrible things knows who you are and what you hide, how much you can love and the love you deserve to receive. You don't have to be who they want you to be, you don't even have to be who _you_ want to be. You are who you are and that is what makes you human, that is what makes you beautiful. I also hope that the people who lash out at others and try to hurt them can also heal, that they can have a second chance and find themselves before they truly ruin their own or someone else's life. They may not be forgiven, but they can be better. I'm not going to say anything like "I care about you" or "I want you to live and be loved" or even "I know you are worth it" because I simply don't, I care about my friends and myself and I wrote these words thinking of them, not you. However, I do know that you who are reading this, is human. You are alive, you are breathing, you hold the same potential that me, my friends, my enemies, and everyone else in the world has. You should never waste what is given to you, so even if I don't know you, I hope that you continue living and bettering yourself so that maybe, one day, I can know who _you_ are.
ah wait I might have experienced some kind of maybe form of bullying? Just *barely* though. I had quite a reputation in my school, I was popular and had quite a few friends sure, but I was also infamous, people I didn't know, people I knew in the past, my classmates, basically anyone that wasn't my friend would come up to me randomly and either talk sh*t, start touching me without permission, start making annoying sounds, start moving things out of my reach and keeping them from me, sometimes they'd hold my books and stuff over the trash or just toss it in, a few of them really enjoyed breaching my privacy too... the bolder ones would even physically start a fight with me, some would instead harass my friends and ok the more I list the things they did to get me to react violently the more it sounds like I really did get bullied... The reason for my infamy and also a result of my infamy was that people would very often provoke me since I was known to have anger issues, hmm... Actually, perhaps it started when on my f- hehe.. _first day_ of grade 1, within the first _hour,_ whilst we were introducing ourselves and all talking and sitting on the carpet, a guy I'll call A, a second grader, provoked me, or insulted me idk, and I... ok, this guy was originally sitting on the floor, but he got up on his knees and kind of half stood up whilst he was talking to me so he appeared a lot taller than me, and he had his legs spread a bit too, noticing this, I, after being provoked, immediately got into position and, uhm... knee'd him in that special place. He screamed, I was taken to the other side of the classroom whilst my teacher talked to me in this weird tone, he wasn't angry, but he really emphasized all his words, honestly at the time what was going through my head was "damn he's not even scolding me?". He probably had access to my files and knew I had problems and thats why he didn't though. But I guess trauma from a young age really does influence you, because even years later when he was graduating and moving to highschool I met him outside and he was still a bit scared of me. But yeah after that one of the other second graders in my class made a bid to harass me all the time and start sh*t, so I guess that really was the start of it... it didn't really end until I completely left school but I stopped reacting as much during school and only breaking down after I got home once I did "anger management" with my psychologist, it was really just teaching me to either bottle up my emotions or completely give up whenever something started going wrong. That's probably why I seriously struggle with motivation now.

I always was slow, had no stamina, and weak so whenever boys bullied me in elementary I was uncapable to run to them to beat their asses. But in middle school, where people started to be much more snide, I somehow managed to shut down several bullying attempts against me. I guess the key was that I always put the possibility of being beat up on a line and tried to intimidate them by questioning the reasons, logic, and stupidass wording without actually insulting them or throwing a punch, shutting down back-and-forth. No quick wit, just tenacity - most middle-schoolers aren't interested in answering torrent of questions so they're either stop bothering with you or start throwing fists, in which case, again, being sufficiently annoying makes up for not being able to scare away with raw power. This isn't the ultimate cure, but the reasons for bullying is the delight in victim's suffering - funny rage, funny fear, funny groveling, "justice". So if you can't make yourself 'person to not be fucked with', suck the joy out of your bullies.

see these kids nowadays and say Naruto and pokemon is cool. but back in my days in highschool/middleschool ( 2010's) you would get straight up bullied for liking that stuff. I told a group of friends I liked to watch yugioh and for the rest of the year I kept getting teased for it.

@@kijushiro really? It was pretty uncool for me, after grade 3/4 to be into 'kids stuff' but by the time I was in grade 10, it flipped to being cool. One guy brought his old gameboy and pokemon cartridge to class and everyone kind of watched him. It was like let's plays before I knew those were a thing.
WE LOVE THE GYM TEACHER
I hated my gym teacher to the point of wanting to physically harm him sometimes when I was in school I had really bad asthma and yet my gym teacher expected me to do the same as everyone else and the school didn't even allow me to carry my inhaler on me I had to go to the nurses office if I needed it while being forced by the gym teacher to need my inhaler and gym teacher didn't give a crap about me being targeted and harmed during gym like I needed glasses yet during gym class the bullies would aim exclusively at my face and when running around the track during some seasons would throw pinecones really hard at the back of my head or trip me on purpose right in the gym teachers sight he didn't give a damn neither did the school when I would report it man and things like schools not handling it cause school shooting and technically it's the school's fault when a school doesn't give a shit and basically tell the student to do something about it cause they won't even acknowledge it there kinda indirectly giving very bad advice and permission indirectly to fight back snapping the last piece of rationality of the cornered kid schools suck worst I ever did was one day during end of pe the dodge balls where being put up and as the last few where being put in a bin the leader of the bullies grabs one and throws it at the back of my head hard while walking out of the gym at that moment I just snapped and lost all reason and had like a adrenaline spike and I rushed at the bullie leader who was fat grab his shirt pull it up it covered his head and block his arms and just started whaling on him and after they lessened the bullying but it was already almost the graduation of that school so it didn't really matter

I get you. People in general like treating others like shit for some reason. My Middle School exoerience was like try not to die. I literally got up on a window and wanted to yeet myself thrice. But it’s okay now, really. I realised they were just kids sadder and more mistreated at home than me. Having been through all of this and getting out alive, I now understand the importance of manifesting compassion and being gentle towards everything in order to mantain the balance and welfare.
I was so shy as a kid that I'd just let people bully me, which coincidentally made them less interested in me because I never gave them the reactions they wanted, lol.

It never worked for me. People would always try to get a reaction out of me and try to make me talk or say something to them and it just worse. I remember some girls cut up my glue and smudged it all around my pencil case, broke my pencils, tore my pencil pouch. I cried so much that day.

When Uki said about his experience, it reminded me of mine. The school that I am currently going to was known for fighting, and when I mean fighting, I mean battle / war. The fightings can go as far as beating the opponent up until there was blood everywhere on them. There was also a huge incident a few years ago that made my school famous for this.

@@twentyonetortas5921 You see, I'm a Hongkonger who had just moved to the UK last August and my parents forgot to find a school beforehand, and the schools should already know which students are going to be here at that school for that year.
Because of that, it was so hard to find a school that still had a place for me to go to.
And I literally ended up with this school, even if I was aware of the fightings.
Well, at least I don't have to go there anymore. I finished Year 11 already and I'm going to college this September.
Also, yeah, my parents had witnessed some fights themselves.

Hehe i remember how in middle school we had like a fight club on a carpet when it was break time and the boys would be fighting each other in rounds(it was always 1v1s) so i joined them for a bit but after a while (idk a few months) they became too strong for me to handle and since i could sense i wouldn't be able to win anymore i lost interest in participating.. But damn i can't imagine everyone just fighting each other all the time without like rules or anything poor uki.

A lot of the time I wish I were a few years younger, because I grew up like right during but just a little too far ahead of my area's transition from anime being a weirdo thing to a way more well known and normal thing, so by time I was in college it was way easier to find anime fans, but that's also when I dropped out of college because of massive burnout.
I feel like if I'd grown up feeling more normal and comfortable with my peers, I'd also have been less likely to burn out.

For Ren, I literally got the same, some people even took my drawings, well thank God, the teachers saw it and told me to show them and they liked it and gave it back to me, they even let me draw during class haha, they're awesome I love them!! My god my school career was like a mix of kyo and ukis. When I was at school ppl beat me up until I learned to fight back but I was not at school a ton from highschool on because of illness.
I was bullied too in elementary and most of high school; I used to ask my mom if I could stay home and she would let me. Because of that I got into reading and creating my own worlds and characters; some way to escape those feelings and how people treated me.
I still have self esteem issues; I wonder sometimes if I'll ever be over it because it comes and go.
... After hearing this I'm ever glad that the elementary school I transferred DO their job when it comes to bullying... (My family was moving to another place and not because of bullying) And most students if not, all of the students avoid this.

I really wish I could relate to this kind of stuff, because the only advice I can give is my standard advice and affirmations, I can't get to the deeper level's and I can't show them that they're heard and understood. It hurts my heart to know that people I care about deal and have dealt with this stuff yet I can't even imagine what they're going through.
The part that possibly hurts me the most though is the fact that I could be considered the bully at times, and that I constantly have to be careful to make sure I don't hurt people without even knowing it. The idea of saying something that invalidates or insults my friends and having no idea is _horrifying._
But I really hope that everybody who has dealt with and is dealing with bullying knows how much they are cared about, and if they have no hope, they need to know that in the future there is someone who cares about them, in the past there was someone who cared about them. And that the only person who knows their true self is themselves, nobody who tells you those horrible things knows who you are and what you hide, how much you can love and the love you deserve to receive.
You don't have to be who they want you to be, you don't even have to be who _you_ want to be. You are who you are and that is what makes you human, that is what makes you beautiful. I also hope that the people who lash out at others and try to hurt them can also heal, that they can have a second chance and find themselves before they truly ruin their own or someone else's life.
They may not be forgiven, but they can be better.
I'm not going to say anything like "I care about you" or "I want you to live and be loved" or even "I know you are worth it" because I simply don't, I care about my friends and myself and I wrote these words thinking of them, not you. I had quite a reputation in my school, I was popular and had quite a few friends sure, but I was also infamous, people I didn't know, people I knew in the past, my classmates, basically anyone that wasn't my friend would come up to me randomly and either talk sh*t, start touching me without permission, start making annoying sounds, start moving things out of my reach and keeping them from me, sometimes they'd hold my books and stuff over the trash or just toss it in, a few of them really enjoyed breaching my privacy too... the bolder ones would even physically start a fight with me, some would instead harass my friends and ok the more I list the things they did to get me to react violently the more it sounds like I really did get bullied... The reason for my infamy and also a result of my infamy was that people would very often provoke me since I was known to have anger issues, hmm...
Actually, perhaps it started when on my f- hehe.. _first day_ of grade 1, within the first _hour,_ whilst we were introducing ourselves and all talking and sitting on the carpet, a guy I'll call A, a second grader, provoked me, or insulted me idk, and I... ok, this guy was originally sitting on the floor, but he got up on his knees and kind of half stood up whilst he was talking to me so he appeared a lot taller than me, and he had his legs spread a bit too, noticing this, I, after being provoked, immediately got into position and, uhm... knee'd him in that special place.
He screamed, I was taken to the other side of the classroom whilst my teacher talked to me in this weird tone, he wasn't angry, but he really emphasized all his words, honestly at the time what was going through my head was "damn he's not even scolding me?". He probably had access to my files and knew I had problems and thats why he didn't though.
But I guess trauma from a young age really does influence you, because even years later when he was graduating and moving to highschool I met him outside and he was still a bit scared of me.
But yeah after that one of the other second graders in my class made a bid to harass me all the time and start sh*t, so I guess that really was the start of it... it didn't really end until I completely left school but I stopped reacting as much during school and only breaking down after I got home once I did "anger management" with my psychologist, it was really just teaching me to either bottle up my emotions or completely give up whenever something started going wrong. That's probably why I seriously struggle with motivation now.
I also had bullies but I had no anxiety back then so I'd just fight back physically and verbally 💀

I always was slow, had no stamina, and weak so whenever boys bullied me in elementary I was uncapable to run to them to beat their asses.
But in middle school, where people started to be much more snide, I somehow managed to shut down several bullying attempts against me.
I guess the key was that I always put the possibility of being beat up on a line and tried to intimidate them by questioning the reasons, logic, and stupidass wording without actually insulting them or throwing a punch, shutting down back-and-forth. No quick wit, just tenacity - most middle-schoolers aren't interested in answering torrent of questions so they're either stop bothering with you or start throwing fists, in which case, again, being sufficiently annoying makes up for not being able to scare away with raw power.
This isn't the ultimate cure, but the reasons for bullying is the delight in victim's suffering - funny rage, funny fear, funny groveling, "justice". So if you can't make yourself 'person to not be fucked with', suck the joy out of your bullies.

Back when I was in school I was a bookworm, around elementary kids would not stop saying annoying shit. I'm just over here tryna read and these bitches would come up asking how my "mangos" were and even when I corrected them they would keep saying it. All I gotta say is I had MAD anger issues back then, they're pretty lucky i didn't just pick up anything and wail on them with it. I held my anger back the whole way through. Then during middle school it slowly started getting more mainstream and by high school you could publicly read them without getting bullied too much for it. High school definitely sucked though, fake rumors and shit like that, this dude I knew claimed to have slept with me even though I've never even seen a dick that wasn't though a screen😂 College life had me back to hurting myself too, still recovering from that after dropping out
