Nemophila as a four piece is every bit as good as their five piece formation. Sure they lost a great guitarist so the dueling guitars are lost, but the arrangements are still fabulous. Nemophila has always been very diverse in their musical catalog. IMO of the three releases to date, composed specifically for the new formation, G.O.D. Is the heaviest. I’m looking forward to the release of their fourth album in Jan 2025. Pre-orders on sale now through many outlets. Nemophila often uses both English and Japanese lyrics. I guess it is a matter of which language fits the section of the music better. Saki is conversationally fluent in English and helped Mayu with pronunciations. However, we shouldn’t overlook Tamu Murata. She is very good at English and frankly easier for me to understand. I think there may be a regional accent, but I really don’t know.
