I feel really bad for people who don't have a relationship with their mum like this. A mother should make their children feel like they can come to them for anything really sad it's 2020 things need to change
For a really long time I couldn‘t even imagine having a relationship like this with my mom but I thought it was normal... but now we‘re much closer, but with my dad I can‘t really talk about stuff
i think it’s also important to highlight with the topic of virginity that ‘virginity’ isn’t as special as it is for everyone. to use terminology ‘taken’ or ‘giving away your virginity’ can be damaging to some young girls and build up so much pressure on something. it’s also important to let those girls know that may have had their virginity taken without consent (young r*pe victims) that this doesn’t mean they’re worthless or that they didn’t get to have a first time. they still get the choice to have their first time with consensual, loving, special sex that they may like to decide is them losing their virginity. idk if this makes total sense - i think it’s just rlly important to be careful around the topic of virginity bc like you and your mum pointed out it is SO different for every1. some people don’t care about their virginity - and that’s fine too. it can be what you want it to be.
This video has given me so much comfort. I’m due to give birth in October with my first child and I’m 22. I’ve had a lot of stick from people for not spending my twenties travelling and just being young. It’s comforting to hear people say that it’s ok because this baby was tried for, me and my partner have our house and we’re happy. Thank you so much xxx
