    Multiplying through all of the parts and simplifying yields 4x^4 - 16x^3 - x^2 + 34X + 15 = 0, synthetic division by negative 1 yields 4x^3 - 20x^2 + 19x + 15 = 0. Synthetic division by 3 yields 4x^2 - 8x minus 5 = 0. Quadratic equation yields 1 +/- 1.5 = 2.5, -0.5. x = -1, -0.5, 2.5, 3. Using the midpoint of the factors yields better symmetry. But in this case the synthetic division of the equation in x is straight forward.
