Lu Guang's phone password has the same numbers as time showed on his clock in final scene. 13 th of September, 00:05 am. His clothes are covered in bloood, probably Cheng's, which can mean that this scene takes place very short after Cheng's death. Since it is September I believe Cheng could have died at overseas trip with Lu Guang in 2019 (current events of the series are tqkin place in 2021 and overseas trip was three years ago). Qiao Ling in ep7 of first season mentions that boys have said to come back just before the end of summer vacations. In China summer brak usualy ends in middle of September. There are rather not alternative events of seaso first finale, because it cames place in October. I think that final scene of season 2 takes place in photo studio because Lu Guang came back there for the photo to jump back into the past. What photo then? Well it has to be a photo that he took himself and if you watch the specials there is one like that. One photo of Lu Gang from the specials has already been used in this season, so I think it is possible that they can use that. And the last think. I think Cheng's ability has been transfwred to Lu beacuse of his death and same thing aplies to Qiao Ling and Xixi.

Judging by their seasonal outfits, maybe CXS was supposed to die or be abducted then killed during S2E1, during his the confrontation with TianChen as Ling, remember Lu does act genuinely surprised (when he was alone by himself) when learns Emma's death was caused by another Possessor, maybe at that point in a short amount of time he figures he need to create some check-points of sorts and just snapped a photo. then used it to reenact+improv the whole season 2 with us.
Yeah that part was interesting. Almost like the change in outfit was to let you know we have past the point of his original death which is why LG might have not seen everything from the season coming.

BUT now hat man carelesly gave his hand letting TC touch his skin so with that little detail he is telling to TC 'I trust you' like the previous one didn't '

I think the fight with the 2 officers seemed like "what are they doing?" is supposed to be exactly how the officers are feeling. The whole thing was a stall which IMO you are supposed to feel that way.
I do agree that the rearranging to leave you on a cliffhanger every episode was a little over done but over all it still worked for me.
Music is just top notch through out so many good songs opening, middle and ending.
This season was overall very satisfying. Most questions answered with the arc coming to a close. It feels like this is an origin story. The rise of a super villain and the rise of a new paranormal crimes unit.
What if there is a more over arcing story line connecting all the stories. This song talks about the 7 sins. Which are Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy, and Pride.
1. Lust could probably fall into the first episode.
2. Gluttony with the Ramen.
3. Sloth with the Guy who didn't tell his love what he wanted.
4. Pride with the Martials Arts Teacher
5. Greed with the Restaurant owners.
6. Then we have Envy for the Killer.
Then there is Wrath with being Season 2.
Congratulation, It is now confirmed Chen Xiao Shi is DEAD............. sometime in the Future!! This is expected yet shocking at the same time. Seeing Lu disappeared before our eyes diving back in time was awesome. His last statement implied he had been diving back in time many times before to save Xiaoshi still was powerful moment to me.
However, out of everything in the last few episodes that I WANT XiXi back Alive!! She is such pure & innocent girl, suffered so much but her mind still not being twisted & evil like her brother. She deserves a better ending.
I'm pretty sure that Cheng Xiaoshi will be coming back. Cuz that is what I think season 3 is gonna be about...LG saving CXS by diving back into the past for a last time. Let's just see how it goes.
20:11 - I also find it interesting that they didn't show us the photo LG used to traveled back in time and the year on his watch has been blurred out. Let's assume there's no actual time limit to CXS's power, as long as he has a photo he can travel several years back. Maybe 12 hours is the limit of LG's power, like he's unable to foresee the future in the photo after 12 hours, then his rules are just a way for him to keep CXS from messing up his plan.
I also wonder when did LG switch with his past self? From the beginning of s1 or just around s2? My guess is that even before s1 begin (like their first meet) given how he implied this is his "last chance" he must've done this a lot, then ran out of photos and travel the furthest to the past.
My theory is that LG would change different thing in each of his dives, but seem like he's just on his way to complete his collection of "100 ways to die CXS version", it doesn't change the fact that CXS is destined to die on a specific day (Sep 13 xxxx?) LG's obsessed with saving CXS, remember how when CXS is about to change something in the past, LG's fear will mostly be "this will change the life we have now" he doesn't give a damn about others.
I agree with most of your opinion on s2. Ep 7 is the worse of them all for me, the fight scenes were well coordinated, smooth animation and all but it didn't contribute anything to the plot? And oh no the spacing, most of the episode is just a recap of the previous ep, like they're scared that after a week the audience will forget everything related to Link Click. I don't need to watch CXS (in LG body) punches Li Tianchen (cross-dressed as his sister) 3-4 times to get in engraved in my memory.
I prefer s1 but s2 is not bad, I still enjoyed it if I think of s2 as a prologue for s3.
The music is amazing in this show, I need the ost, the one from the hostage exchange and when LG remembered CXS's death is so good.

I think I will look back more fondly at this season after what comes in s3. Like is is a necessary step for them to take for the plot to progress. Just some of the choices leave me scratching my head. Glad you enjoyed!

Link Click S2 wasn't bad, but I think the plot just wasn't suitable as a seasonal animated series, I think the entire S2 is more suitable as a full-length movie as the pacing wouldn't felt dragged, the waiting between each week really affected the whole viewing experience, I think binge watching the whole S2 in one go would be a better experience.
