You should've taped the air vents.
He should of disassembled the Switch. Paint being in the triggers can cause it to gum up not the mention the paint getting on the inside through the vents
@@PsychoVision19right. It’s like 8 screws and done for the back plate. You could probably disassemble faster than tape the thing lmao.
Word of advice:
Take the switch apart before spray-painting the casing

@@CarBleachIntake directly connected to the heat sink and shield. You need an intake and exhaust for the vent to do anything.
@@BigRheno the intake is not directly connected to the sink, it’s behind the shield. and it’s as i said, it’s an intake not the vent. the intake and exhaust makes the vent. you telling me that goes without saying so what are you on?
@@CarBleach The shield is literally the first thing you see when opening a switch lite, so yeah, it 100% would’ve gotten all over it
@@BigRheno i doubt it, those holes are too small to do anything affective when it’s just paint, it’s not like he held it there and drowned the port, that and the shield is the first thing you see when you open it yes but the intake isn’t touching the shield bc the shield has cut outs to let air in bc how would the vent work otherwise?

Me having a mental breakdown realizing that the holes on the back of my switch are actually air vents:
They’re not just air vents they’re actually your speakers.
Wrong.speakers are on botom for switch lite,wich he is using in the video

@@goose08100 the speakers are in the front the vents are in the top and back the vents in the back take in the air and the vents at the top exhaust the air so basically its gonna over heat since air isn't cooling the inside of the system

I'd probably check a disassembly video to make sure you didn't get any paint on the internal heat sinks. If you're lucky you just got some paint on the internal fans.
Although in the future it probably would be best to take the switch apart before spray painting it to avoid covering up the heat sinks. Which could cause the system to overheat and die.

Next time you should probably remove the shell, as it will make painting a whole lot easier, not having to worry about the vents or anything. Other than that it’s a pretty cool result aesthetically!

@@HunterFekete next time, unless is a junk one, take the back panel. Spray paint is gonna not be spread inside the fans. If it is still working u should check that anyway, just a recomendation. Great Posca work btw
