To truly understand Thagyan and the choices, the composers and the producers made, Vasudev, you have to understand that this song is the PUREST original homage to (Late) Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Sahab. And even as an homage to NFAK you have to be really familiar with his discography (outside of his Qawwalis) in the 90s to really catch all the references. NFAK was the one of the first artists in Pakistan to bring modern western instruments into classical based songs and inclusion of a BRASS section was his SIGNATURE in ghazals and songs. If you dont mind me mentioning it, it really was at that time one of the biggest differentiator between Indian and Pakistani music. His clean use of the SAX became a signature Pakistani sound in the 90s. He brought guitars to the Qawwali Carpet. And made vocal fry an actual thing in singing on at least our side of the globe. Also the vocal layer/reverb or at least the particular effect it creates in this song is also a nod to NFAK as he used it in one of his locally biggest hit "Kisay da yaar na Vichhray". So while this song is a treat for you musically, it has a whole lot of nostalgia and nods for any NFAK fan in their. As a die-hard NFAK fan, this song is a gift that just keeps giving. If you want to know what I am talking about, listen to his Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's Album "Salaam" which was released posthumously. You will really understand what I am talking about.

Lol hamnawa is not the name of the artist or anything. In Urdu “hamnawa”. The persons singing the same song and in the same tune in a chorus like a qawwali are known as humnava. Love your cuteness ❤
