I love when Robb says Tywin isn’t running short on patience, then the next scene shows how calm Tywin is while his kids make a scene at the small council table. 10/10 transition.
The man that died was Cat's father, Hoster Tully. The younger man who kept missing the shot was her brother, Edmure Tully, and the older who made the shot is their uncle, The Blackfish, Brendan Tully.
The Small Council scene is so characterful. Tywin sits at the head of the table, the seat of power and authority. Littlefinger moves to sit next to him, closest to the power. Varys sits in the middle, happy to become invisible in the crowd. Pycelle, the only permanent member of the Council, who continues regardless of King, or Hand sits furthest from the head of the table. Cersei moves her chair to Tywin's right, the place of honour, the place of the most important advisor. She moves behind everyone else, but in full view of them. Tyrion moves his seat to the other end of the table, in direct opposition to his father. Masterful.
Before having his hand cut off, Jaime was the best swordsman in the seven kingdoms. Only a handful could tak ehim on 1v1. Earlier in season one when he clashed with Ned, that was for the shows sake. George RR Martin stated that Ned wouldn't have lasted a couple of seconds vs Jaime. The show didn't give Jaime the respect he deserved.
I might be the only one, but I don't like to watch previews of something I'm about to watch. I wouldn't watch a preview of a movie right before I watch the movie. Just my two cents on previews...nix them all! Other than that keep up the great reactions -love you guys :)
i use to go to Castle Farms Charlevoix to watch rock concerts back in the day, im from sault ste marie ,Ontario, Canada, so was 40 min drive there,wonder if its still a concert venue?
After all years I still remember that long arrow shot. Is that odd? 😅 One of my favourite episodes among all 8 seasons. Jaime have been a practical, direct, cocky character by now. After this big trauma you will witness how this character will change.

It's better explained in the book. Robb tells Edmure stay and defend Riverrun, but while Robb is off campaigning in the west he hatches his own little startegy. He decides to take his army out on the field and prevent Tywin from crossing the river from east to west. Robb was counting on the fact that Tywin would rush west to secure his homelands when he got news of Robb defeating Stafford Lannister so close to Casterly Rock. Unfortunately, because Tywin could not cross the river, his was army ended up being on the correct side to respond to Stannis' attack on King's Landing. If Edmure had just stayed back protecting Riverrun, the battle of the Blackwater might very well have gone the other way. The heartbreaking thing is what Edmure said before he rode out to meet Tywin at the ford; "Tell Father I have gone to make him proud". Edmure was always kind of a fail son, ineffectual and meek, but for once when everything was at stake, he actually got his father's entire army together and defeated Tywin - the Tywin Lannister - in the field. But, his victory turns to ashes in his mouth and quite literally lost them the entire war (among a few other things).
