Better to have extra units than wait for them to turn up when you really need them
Water source failed and they had to bring in water hence the pumps going and basement fire means inclosed courter fire control need five teams if it is an hour long fight. This was well done and well controlled.
No source of water failure . No hydrants in a rural setting . Water must be trucked in .
They had to bring water in because there's no hydrants, you fucking twat. Also, learn English. The term is "in close quarters." "Inclosed" is not a word and "courter" is an antiquated term for someone trying to date someone else.
it may not look like much to all you commenting on this, but basement fires are the worst. its extremely hot, zero visibility, and usually only one point of egress. plus there's the risk of collapse due to weakening of the floor supports. also, in older houses, called balloon construction, the studs in the walls run continuously from basement to attic, and fire can get in these spaces and climb and spread to the second floor space, the attic, and in the walls. firefighters go two in into a structure, with two more teams ready to replace the first, as the high heat conditions and physical exertion will wear a person out in about 15 minutes. in addition to the three interior teams, there are two more teams called the RIT team, or rapid intervention team. if something goes wrong, the immediately go in and rescue the interior firefighter. ambulances are on scene for firefighters or civilians in case of injury. so yes, a lot of people and equipment is required at fires.
dave1135 glad to see a brother who understands the line of work 👍🏼⚫️🔴⚫️

dave1135 Basement fire sucks balls, i feel you man, im a Volunteer Firefighter, i have only experienced one basement fire and it sucked!!
basement fires are terrible, some of the worst kinds.
Here in the UK, the standard response to a house fire is two engines, one officer and no ambulance. Occasionally you might get a police car turn up, but only if they're bored! All other support is available on request.
Fun Fact : The US is not the UK. We handle things based on our needs. After living in Staffordshire for a year, I can honestly say that I have experienced living there in the UK. Water supply is quite different. Not all neighborhoods can offer high capacity city water to feed a hydrant system. This is why tankers are used and shuttled back and forth. Many fire depts here are volunteer. Sometimes a engine/pumper may arrive with only three people on it. Don't forget, these volunteers all have jobs to go to as well. Calls during the day always strain services. Also after living in the UK for a year, I can tell you that y'all have no idea what it's like to wear turnout gear when the tamps are in the lower 90's with high humidity. So, the human factor kicks in. There's only so long a firefighter can wear the turnout gear and handle the high heat. Fresh crews are needed and will start a rotating shift. Firefighters go in, the other crew takes a break and cools off. Then they switch. This is like the age old debate of American cars vs European cars. They were built for different needs and therefore are not apples to apples comparison.
I just had a house fire this past weekend, 3 engines, 1 ladder, 2 medics, 2 chiefs
What a beautiful day. So much green and a nice breeze!
lol
WOW.....you weren't kidding, that was a huge response.
Bear Smith it happened to me once we were on vication for 2 days someone forgot to turn of the lamp and then we got home i all i heard was whee oooohh wheee ohhh and a house birning
Thats so sad
xheralt - thanks for the info, very intetesting
I hope the family was able to pick up the pieces and get things back on track
If you go on the search part of TH-cam and search North Andover fire explosion you're not gonna see as much as fire truck engines but Andover, Lawrence, and Middletown had to come to help a few towns right near us
Thank you for all you do in these lives to save people everyday Love you all so very much
Elizabeth Ammons p
Aww. That ending was really cute. Seems like the kids who lived in the fire house were in good spirits.
BTW, I have some friends who live in West Bend....Crocus Street or Court I think. Lots of train stuff around his house.
If you look close at the als ambulance it's the same unit number. Just moves around a lot.... normal when medics are there and trying to stay out of the way...
This brings back memories of a barn fire when I was a kid and my dad was a firefighter
True heroes are right there!
in pittsfield,Massachusetts we only have 5 fire station if we had a 4th alarm they call dalton,ma lee,ma for help
Great to see this sort of response: neighbors helping neighbors
excellent video. what kind of camera was u using
Nikon Coolpix L830
i watched michael's explanation pretty sad they sounded cool im sad you had to see jimmy and richie leave
Charlieschreibs18 Isawesome Yeah, but they're doing well and will eventually be moving back into the home
What was the whole street on fire?
Where was this about
Very awesome catches & footage!
Thanks!
Nice to see some of my fire depts there helping out!
where I live we do get more help from all fire department as mutual Aid like tanker task forces or any units that can cover
It's crazy this area doesn't have fire hydrants or a sufficient water supply. Seems pretty populated.
i live near west bend. i heard about this.
2:42 what's that steady tone i hear over the fire trucks?
Nice catch
This is my favorite show to watch oh and the ambulance sounds like the new York ambulance
Nice camera work your vids are epic instant like and sub and notifications on
What? You're a kid? Excellent camera work dude!
Thanks!

TretkkZ
What? The shaking is awful!
Looks like a rural town with no hydrants....looks like a water relay to me
Which direction is west bend from Milwaukee
West Bend is about 40 miles to the northwest of Milwaukee.
Must been a huge basement
What the fuck happened you know I had to deal with the same shit a abanded house went on fire on my block
Well let see, no fire hydrants, looks like out in the county, pumpers don't carry that much water so the extra/mutual aid response makes lots of sense to me. They just may need the extra water. I use to be a volunteer fire fighter and we did not have hydrants, so the more trucks that arrived wwith water the better, even if you don't use all the water
Exactly!
A residential neighborhood with no fire hydrants. Pass!
I don’t understand why there is no path way/sidewalk. If there was, they could’ve dug it up and used the emergency fire water source.
Huh???
WELL! I hope all of the Fireman had a nice PICNIC at their Usual Park! ..LOL..
MiniPumper, Ambulance, Tanker, Police Car, Rescue Van, another Tanker, Fire Chief, (FINALLY) a Pumper, another Equipment truck, a 2nd Rescue truck, a huge Tanker from "Boltonville"??.. plus as Snorkel truck from Kewaskum & Quint truck from Newberg That's only 13 vehicles, and realistically, only 5 of them were used to fight the fire.. It must not have been much of a fire...
Other than the Boltonville Tanker, what exactly was HUGE about this response ??
Tell that to the idiots who think this was too heavy of a response....
Thomas J Sanford I was going to say the same thing.
why were there so many police on scene, usually on a house fire call theres usually a sheriff,Deputy Sheriff ,one arson investigator, and usually State Trooper, this the first ive ever seen so many police at one fire scene
I wanna fight the fire.........get in the queue
That must of been a 3 alarmed fire wow
LM Maynot It was.
how much water does the tanker carry ?
2000 gallons usually.
I remember this! I live like 3 houses down from you
how come we never got a shot of the fire. even tho it was a basement one we still should a been able to see something
Dont see any smoke. I can hear Engines pumping. I like the red Dodge Caravan with the ladder. Probably a Vollie who brings his own ladder 😀
just for a house fire? bloody hell !!!!
Where is the fire? I do not see it!
Mixed staging areas or none at all? Looks like the old "cluster command" took over.
Must have brought in every department in the whole county.
Jackson slinger westbend was this that big
The fire doesn't always have to be big, but when there is one they call in what's referred to as " Mutual Aid." They call in numerous surrounding towns for assistance. Half of the out of town trucks will go to the scene and the other half will occupy the in town stations in the event of another call. They also call in ambulances for standby at the scene in the event they're also needed, they're already there.
I was thinking possible meth lab explosion 💥
great footage
Thanks
I appreciate that the whole of the UK could fit in a corner of most states, but here all fire services are organised by county (state) so the appliances and procedures are standard. All counties are trained to the same national standard. It seems illogical to have volunteer, retained (part time) and whole time departments some with modern equipment others with museum pieces. Why does every station (mostly) have to have a chief/batallion pick up vehicle this seems unnecessary expense the senior officer should ride an appliance ? Off the subject of firefighting is it a city ordinance that forces people to have just an unfenced lawn in front of their house ? In the UK most local authorities actually require a small wall or fence around a house.
this probably a 3 or 4 alarm fire once you get into a 5 alarm youll have over 25 turcks on scene
Lol I live in west Bend and never even heard about this
Been a volunteer., chiefs house must of been on fire. Only reason I can think of to spend the years operating costs in 5 hours.
Was not the chief's house.
PsychoSmith still no excuse to bring 7 engines, 3 support vehicles and to tactical tenders. I saw 5 hydrants in this video
Hello, im baaack.
Remeber me. I lived in wisconsin, Brownsville
how did it start
Faulty dehumidifier explosion
wonder how fire is
didn't you get close enough to the scene to show the fire
FD Overkill?
The number of engines was likely due to lack of available water for the hoses.
That, and also you need a lot of manpower for a basement fire, for SCBA, more SCBA, and backup SCBA...
@Megabyte you're correct. And the proper term is porta pond. Just an FYI not trying to be smart.
Nice!
Lot of different stations for no visible fire
"Not visible from this angle" does NOT equal "no fire"
do u know where lomira is
Yes
Looks like a dump tank at end of the street would been handy
ALL THERE IS SHOWING WHAT HAS TOLD TO RESPOND
where was the tanker truck going
Fetching more water. "tanker shuttle" operation.
How bad was the fire
The basement was badly damaged and there was some damage on the middle floor. Estimated $300,000 of damage
holy shit that's bad
I don't see the sense.. (there isn't any) building nice houses in nice to live places.. with no fire hydrants! Most of that response must have been tankers going to and from water supply points.
Other than that, a good video.
Wow, they pulled every department for 20 miles around for this one... geez..
Since MABAS came on line in Wisconsin, box cards are organized on an 80/20 principle...no single department sends more than 80% of its strength at a time to a single working fire. Neighboring departments are not only brought in (under what used to be "auto-aid") to fight the fires, but also at need will backfill stations of the requesting department, to preserve coverage. It's all carefully pre-planned.
Probably was a fire so the chief called a second alarm but the mutual aid was on standby
Not nice in know, but that one firefighter looked like he was struggling to just walk
It's a bit funny that the city name is west bend because in the state that I currently live in: (Oregon), the city I live in is literally called bend and then in the state I used to live in: (Washington) there is a city called I believe north or east bend; feel free to check my channel and see what I basically mean
kristopher zhu Haha! I'll take a look at your channel.
how does a humidifier explode
dehumidifier
It was a faulty build, that specific type of dehumidifier was recalled due to explosions.
no shit see i learned something today thanks PsychoSmith
Very cool I'm from waukesha
Cool
was there a fire or not
Yes, it was a basement fire.
was it a gas line
No, a faulty dehumidifier exploded in the basement.
15:12 XD
Not one truck company staged in front of the house
extracted perenial
Pickups, SUVs, cars and ambulances show up 1st? What the hell? They aren't any help
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, but there were water trucks and ladder trucks that were already at the scene before I started recording.
PsychoSmith Ah, OK. Good catch
Steve, uhm yeah.. you obviously got no experience or knowledge of emergency services.
Even if they were the 1st on scene, it's not like they could actually come from a closer fire station, could they? o.o It's not like they can't give any 1st information to battalion chiefs, treat wounded patients or get an overview on the situation..
;)
Nice video btw :)
And not only that, those are the true first responders and the chief and supervisors drive the small vehicles.. Every department has a few smaller vehicles
RTobi (Rummeltobi) on our volunteer department, many members respond in p.o.v's, personally owned vehicles, along with our trucks. plus, at a big incident, we have the public come out in droves, block the road and go stand and watch. makes it a pain for our tanker drivers to back in to the portable tanks beside the pumpers.
yeah this is in oregon not wyoming
No, it's in Wisconsin
Definitely Iowa.
valeros
I live in wi. Brownsville
Cool
PsychoSmith I went to west bend wi. to get medicine at the walmart
Oh
good thing there wasn't another fire!
mabaswisconsin.org would have picked up the slack. Not too put too fine a point, that's what the organization is for.
And if it had been raining you would never have gone outside would you.........Hahahaha.
Why do you say that?
Joe Spud I read this comment, Then I ate some 'shrooms, it's now 20 minutes later, and this comment STILL makes no sense.
Joe Spud I read this comment, Then I ate some 'shrooms, it's now 20 minutes later, and this comment STILL makes no sense.
Was this a electoral fire? When the electricity gets to hot and it gets on fire and explodes????
It was caused by a faulty dehumidifier that exploded.
hi kid lookin in from Nyc
Guess this is a small city where fire department don’t get much action and they wanted action
I MEAN FUCKKKK HOW MANY TRUCKS DO THEY NEED !!!!!!!
I went there for school
Is that a unmarked blacked out cop car shit man they got everything
Did somebody fart again
why all the man power for a small fire. . wow
Well, better you have the units and dont need them as when you need them and you need to wait for them after the 2nd Alarm.
None of my PPE is rubber...
Ya but for a house fire that's a waste of man power I've fought bigger fire's with alot less man power but ok
not everybody is a badass such as yourself...#sarcasm
It has nothing to do with being a badass...it's called comments sense no need to waste extra resources when not needed that was an over kill
Brush truck out 1st due?
Some do that because it is the fastest.
Cool. I know where I worked, certain areas did have a brush truck out first because it was the only 7nit that would fit up certain driveways. Thanks.
must have been some kind of gas leak or chemical issue because there was definitely no fire there
There was a fire, it was a basement fire. It was caused by a faulty dehumidifier explosion.
PsychoSmith watchwatch.
PsychoSmith lol
thanks for replying goodnight
You're welcome
PsychoSmith im back
PsychoSmith how are u I was going to come back earlier but I ha d to eat
