one of the few adaptations to my knowledge that actually physically depicted the monster accurately to the original novels descriptions was the adult swim show Frankenhole of all things. Not even joking.
Oh, man! I forgot about that show! Penny Dreadful had a pretty accurate depiction, too, though he had pale white skin instead of sickly yellow. And unfortunately he was a side character and they never really did anything worthwhile with him.
Hopefully if i win, you'll carefully place item in specialty gift wrapping. Preferably transformers, marvel, DC, g i joe, predator, alien, Ultraman, takara, bandai, preferably Gundam, or universal monsters, masters of the universe, preferably Hordak or skeletor, Kamen Rider, Warhammer, no warcraft, gears of war is a suitable substitute. Thank you for your cooperation 😂❤
Figura Obscura is my jam. I'm all-in for this line and have really enjoyed everything so far. I like that they went with the book description of the creature. It fits with the other literary inspired figures they've done so far and makes the collection coherent despite the various source material.
That’s awesome. What’s your top figura if you had to only pick 1? I think mine would be headless horseman but I really like the pop and swaps I’ve done with the krampus figures.
@@thestrongcollectors Probably Father Christmas. The Christmas holiday season is my favorite time of year. While the Rockwellian Coca-cola Santa is my preferred version, the FO Father Christmas is a fantastic representation of the character. I have him riding Alder the moose. I think those two are perfect for each other and wish I had a second Alder for the green version.
Solo Jordan show - loved it. The product looks pretty excellent. Although not the variant of the character I am looking for, this product would look decent in anyone's display.
I wonder if the retail variant will be green? I always love putting out a solo Jordan show. Then I get to watch a strong collectors episode without know what’s going to be said.
That’s one of the cool things about action figures is they get us to dive into other areas of the fandom. This could get folks to read the book. I got into spawn because of the figures.

Pretty cool but i like my mcfarlane frankenstein monster a lot .
@@thestrongcollectors lack of double joints, butterflies, and neck articulation. On the proportions side, the figure looks like it got pressed and has this odd midget look, the big head certainly does not do any good either. I know the paint is very well applied but you are basically getting a statue with little to no articulation.
Have you seen these figures before? They aren’t mafex or yamaguchi sure but they have much more articulation than you think. They can still do 2 handed weapon holding poses. It’s also Frankensteins creature so he shouldn’t have normal human proportions right?

I think it’s a lot cooler than just doing another green with bolts type of universal Frankenstein.

Hopefully Marvel Legends will update their Monster Of Frankenstein & Werewolf by Night figures soon
I would kind of doubt we’d see them do a Frankenstein but for sure I bet there’s a werewolf coming at some point.

Which Toybiz figures do you think still holdup (including X-Men classics/Spiderman classics etc.)
That’s a good question. I have some that I hold on to because of nostalgia but we should do a deep dive on that question.

Do you get the variants as well?
@@thestrongcollectors I do. I have them all so far and the new ones preordered.

@@thestrongcollectors oh green would be nice and gory.
😮 Jordan going solo for Figura Obscura 👊 awesome due 🙏 You didn't mention its scale 😏 its a 1.0 but its height equal to a Brute scale brother 🥰
Jordan love his literary figures.
Damn I like the accessories. May be worth it just for all the stuff it comes with. The figure isn’t my cup of tea but the rest looks worth it.
I mean if you sell the figure i'd guess you can sell him by himself for $50.
@@thestrongcollectors yeah good point.
Hope you enjoy LegionsCon! I'm looking forward to it!
can't wait. My (Dakota) goal is to be more social this year.
@@thestrongcollectors feel free to say hi if you catch me, I'm always running around snagging pictures!
They always do a good job with Obscura and this one looks great too. I prefer it to the Universal Monsters green monster.
I’m guessing the retail variant will be green.
This is cool but doesnt feel like frankensteins monster to me. Hope everyone enjoys tho
that's because movies have rotted our brains lol and the real nerds like Jordan who read books will love him.
@@thestrongcollectorsagreed, media has dumbed things down quite a bit. Maybe ill have to check out the books. Thanks

That's understandable. That's a cool figure too.
@@thestrongcollectors i like how big it is but i had to paint his clothes black .
If it doesn't look like Glenn Strange from Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein it's not the best. But I guess this one's pretty good for what it is.
understandable. That's just been done so many times.
@@thestrongcollectors They've done figure they call Glenn Strange Frankenstein, but the likeness is far from it.
Outdated articulation and horrible proportions? Easy pass.
Interesting take. What’s outdated?

Not sure about articulation, but given "the creature's" story (parts sewn together from multiple corpses) I'd think its proportions would be "off".
